Fenerbahce, despite the lack of home advantage in this leg, came out the better side by a clear amount. Lyon really had their chances early on but nowhere near the amount that Fener were having. They didn't really start putting in the work until they were 2-0 down. Lyon in the second half though were the better side, that great volley they got to give them some hope is one I think would be appreciated more if it wasn't during qualifying. I'm sure they'll also feel hard pressed with the two goals they had ruled out. Fenerbahce will be an interesting team to watch in the Champions League this season, with a very aggressive style on and off the pitch. Whoever they come up against should not underestimate them. Lyon, despite not getting the level they wanted, will be my personal favourite to go all the way in this year's Europa League.
