Really impressed with Leeds, this change in system from Daniel Farke has been a revolution for them. Questioned him when he's been in the Premier League with Norwich, but there was always something there with his ideas, he just had to tweak it, which he's now got absolutely spot on. It's way too early to say if they'd be near the top, anything can happen in football, but if they keep playing like this why not? Brighton, Brentford, Bournemouth, Villa, Newcastle, Palace and Sunderland have all broke the system of usual European competitors, so why can't Leeds? Huge credit to Farke, he's given all of those players a way they can all make an impact. The comeback of Dominic Calvert-Lewin is astonishing too, everyone wrote him off, but Daniel Farke gave him a chance and has rewarded his faith spectacularly. Well done Leeds. Newcastle were stumped all night, it wasn't just a tactical mismatch, the energy from the Leeds players compared to those in a Toon shirt was second to none. A big off night for them. This can happen though, with losing key squad leaders it can be hard to get a grip of a game, we've seen it at Villa so far and it unfortunately happened tonight for Matthias Jaissle's team. However, it's not all doom and gloom. Blips can happen but that doesn't mean they'll be going into a downfall just from this. Admittedly, I was shocked with their good start, I was thinking it would've been extremely similar to Villa where they lose their first couple but grow into the season. Fair play to Jaissle for getting them going off the block. MOTM is Bogle, he was absolutely everywhere, safe to say DCL wasn't happy with his stolen goal though! 😂
