PSGPSG wasn’t even better than Villa, which is surprising to say the least looking at both starting elevens. Especially in the second half Villa became much more dangerous. Madjo did great, usually makes the right decisions as well when to pass and such. A interesting case for PSG, not really sure what they’ll do this season. They looked okay this game but it really wasn’t anything special at all. Third time in a row seems unlikely to me. I have watched a fair few friendlies of Villa, so i have seen Brian Madjo show his class already while many haven’t. First of all he is the youngest player to start a UEFA Super Cup game, and second of all he’s the youngest to score in a UEFA Super Cup game. Just in this game you could see his talent already, he doesn’t need many touches to be dangerous. Mostly a bit unlucky but he could’ve definitely scored more, and he’s 17, those goals will come eventually. George Hemmings is a huge talent too, was decent this game so hopefully he will be part of the first team throughout the season. Matty Cash was the worst player on the pitch by a mile though, especially his mistake in the offside trap was dreadful. Im excited about Villa this season though, i was already planning to watch them a lot because i just love teams managed by Unai Emery, but its just such a fun team as well with a huge talent in the team too. I suppose Désiré Doué deserves man of the match for goal and assist, kinda just don’t wanna give it to a PSG player because i thought Villa was slightly better, but i’ll do it anyway. Madjo is up there though, he missed chances and whatever but he was so good this game against the best team in Europe. Shoutout to John McGinn too, what a player.
