Never going to sleep during a match ever again. I watched the first half and it was pretty decent, good chances for either team with Arnautovic getting another goal and Algeria scoring a beauty after the ball bounced off the corner flag. But wow that second half; Laimer’s run and perfect cross to Sabitzer with a great first time finish, just to be cancelled out 5 minutes later by a Mahrez goal from a cutback. The match then settled down because a draw would mean both teams through and Iran out, but suddenly Mahrez scores again in the 93rd minute to do Austria dirty and knock them out… BUT THEN Austria get a goal in the 96th minute to keep them in the World Cup! And I missed it. But yea, unfortunate for Iran but great scenes for Austria and Algeria to go through.
