i’ve seen some poor refereeing performances in my time but this was genuinely something else. i’m not even angry, i’m just fascinated. can someone please explain the rules of football to me because clearly they’ve changed since the last time i’ve watched a game. marta huerta de aza, you are on some very serious fraudwatch. you rejected a penalty for us not once but twice, with the first one being ruled out because of an “offside” beforehand, yet you still gave the lyon defender a yellow for the foul that would’ve been a pen. every decision feels like it’s being made by someone who has never actually watched a game of football before. i’m genuinely starting to question whether there is a rulebook or if we’ve all just been making this up as we go along. a point against lyon is obviously more than great, but we absolutely deserved to come away with the win here.
