In honor of HNL coming back this week, let me revisit the first time I saw us beat Rijeka IRL and how glorious it was 💚💛 We played so well and completely overpowered Rijeka, at one point our possession was even at 71%, something that rarely happens (especially when playing against them 😭). Truly a masterclass from our side and impressive misses from Rijeka's side. Their fans were fuming hehe. This was our first win against Rijeka in HNL on our home ground in 8 years so yeah, it's been a long time coming and it felt so satisfying. One of my favorite Istra's games for sure. Last picture is not mine but I love how our players took ultras' banner where the Istra's mascot (goat) is stomping on Rijeka's mascot (shark) and posed with it, must've felt great for them as well. Let's replicate this score and feeling again this season 💚💛
