🏆 ARSENAL 3–0 MAN CITY — COMMUNITY SHIELD What a way to start the season. 🔴⚪️ 23 seconds. That’s all it took. Calafiori flying forward and putting Arsenal ahead almost immediately completely set the tone for the afternoon. ⚡️ From there Arsenal just looked sharper, hungrier and much more settled. City had spells with the ball, but rarely looked like they were actually going to hurt us. Haaland was kept extremely quiet and defensively we looked composed whenever City tried to build momentum. 🧱 Tzolis continues to look like an unbelievable piece of business. Two assists and once again there’s just always a feeling that something is going to happen when he gets involved. His final product has been seriously impressive. 🇬🇷✨ Havertz leading the line and getting his goal was great to see too. He gives us something completely different up front and his movement caused City problems all game. 🎯 But Ødegaard… THIS is the Ødegaard Arsenal have been missing. 🎩🇳🇴 He looked sharp, confident and influential again, then capped it off with the third goal. If he can carry this form into the season, it changes the level of this team. MLS deserves a mention too. So comfortable receiving the ball under pressure and playing through City. The midfield depth Arsenal have now is honestly ridiculous. 🤯 Yes, it’s the Community Shield, but beating Manchester City 3–0 is never meaningless — especially with Arsenal still having Rice, Saka, Gyökeres, Eze and Zubimendi available from the bench.
