⚪️⚫️ Juventus 2–0 Palermo A decent performance from Juve and plenty to be positive about. Created a heap of chances across the 90 and probably should’ve won by a few more. The football looked sharp in patches and you can definitely see things starting to come together ahead of the new season. 👀 ⭐️ Yıldız looked much sharper tonight. Constantly involved, dangerous around the box and deserved his goal. Starting to look like himself again. 🎯 Kolo Muani, on the other hand, definitely didn’t bring his shooting boots to Perth. Had opportunities but just couldn’t put one away… must’ve left them behind in the 2022 World Cup final. 😭🇫🇷 ⚽️ Good to see Milik get on the scoresheet as well. Overall, a promising 90 minutes from Juventus. Plenty still to improve on, particularly the finishing, but the chances are being created and the football is heading in the right direction. ⚪️⚫️

🏟️ Arsenal 2–3 Borussia Dortmund Not the Emirates homecoming we wanted as Champions of England. 🔴⚪️ Conceding so early really set Arsenal back and Dortmund punished us again on the counter. Going 2–0 down made it an uphill battle, but I liked the response. Nwaneri pulling one back and Gyökeres making it 3–2 gave us a genuine chance to get something from the game. Gyökeres continues to impress me with his work rate. 💪 He works harder than any striker we’ve had at Arsenal for a long time — constantly running the channels, pressing and making himself available. Even when everything doesn’t come off, he never stops. Tzolis has been incredible so far. 🌟 Every time he gets involved you feel like there’s going to be an end product. An assist for Nwaneri and then winning the penalty for Gyökeres today. He looks dangerous. Really good seeing Ben White back too. 🔙 Looked sharp going forward and his overlapping runs gave us another dimension down the right. Mosquera had some good moments, but you can definitely see the difference when Saliba isn’t there. He just doesn’t give me that same feeling of reliability at the back yet. MLS uses his body extremely well in midfield, especially for his age, but I’d like to see him learn to ride challenges more instead of going down when he can potentially stay on his feet and keep the move alive. Nwaneri continues to look promising and took his goal really well. ⭐️ A 3–2 loss is never ideal, especially back at the Emirates, but seeing Arsenal fight their way back into it after such a poor start was encouraging. The Champions of England are back home. 🏆🔴

🇮🇹⚽ Had to catch the clash between two giants of Italian football. The first half was a bit of a drag, but the second half absolutely flew by with some really good passages of play. Juventus had plenty of possession early in the second half, but never really looked threatening with it. Inter were by far the better side for me. ⚫🔵 I was expecting a little more from Yildiz, but Diouf was easily my standout player of the game ⭐️ Looked in great form and was causing the Bianconeri problems all night. Overall, a slow burner that turned into a really enjoyable watch. 👏
