Germany didn't really get out of second gear all match and that was their ultimate downfall today. They started bright, but let Ecuador back into the game. Completely avoidable from a German perspective. Fair play to Ecuador for showing real fight. Their equaliser was a super strike and they played in good spells which gave them the winning goal. This means they secure a 3rd place qualification with 4 points, I wrote them off to get grouped so well done Ecuador!
