Croatia again looked rough, it’s definitely a much weaker side than previous two editions and i will be surprised to see them go far. Especially with Portugal/Colombia being their next opponent. They dont bring too much offensively, in defense they havent looked too great either, though today was a lot better. A lot of it feels kinda disconnected, which is kinda surprising. They definitely need to bring younger guys into this team, its just too old and purely thriving off of experience. Fresh blood would make this such a better team. Ghana felt different this game than other games, offensively they brought a lot more but then defensively it was worse. Ghana is so weird in general not making last Afcon but performing well at the World Cup. They were definitely better in this game i’d say, just couldn’t quite finish their chances with good defensive efforts from Croatia. Derrick Luckassen scored which is fun, hes the brother of Brian Brobbey. Two oldest sons took mothers last name while two youngest took the fathers last name. Not sure who they play yet but i think they also play either Portugal/Colombia so thats going to be quite tough for them. And hopefully they do lose because fuck Partey. Man of the match for Modrić for old times sake, also got a assist and had some defensive contributions at his old age.
