Honestly I was expecting a goal scoring festival from England especially after the draw last match, but England with Tuchel are very calm and patient and know what’s needed to go through with minimum physical effect. England is one of the most tactically committed teams in the WC and let’s see how far they can go with Tuchel.. 🇵🇦🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Another boring England game in the World Cup. That kroatie game really made me think this year, under Tuchel, we could play some entertaining football but alas. The only “fun” part of the match was when we scored the goals and even then it was boring. We lack so much creativity and as much as I hate to cheer for Chelsea players, we need Cole Palmer. Every game we play the decision to not call him up gets crazier and crazier. Foden another big name that we’re really missing. Panama were actualy unfortunate to not get a goal expecially early in the first half they definitely had the momentum and the chances, but lacked the finishing, and when they did get good shots they were just either defended or saved almost effortlessly. Although it does feel like they didn’t really ever have any “big” chances. POTM for me has to be Bellingham, a goal and an assist and of our only consistent players across the 90 minutes and actualy gave us some hope in an otherwise very boring game.

Very boring match. I have nothing to say in regards to it. I have attatched below my review of Ordinary Men: Reserve Police Batallion 101 and the Final Solution in Poland, along with Dylan's reply to it, as I have much to say regarding that topic, and I believe it is of much more significance. I would be interested in hearing the thoughts of @freddie, as he seems like a sensible person and I generally enjoy hearing his viewpoints. Thank you for your time.

TOMMY T'S THREE LIONS DO IT AGAIN... But seriously, we were poor in areas again. Spence HAS to be the RB with James out. Quansah offered very little meaning Saka was alone. Rashford started brightly but struggled as the game went on. Although he had very little support with O'Reilly as the inverted fullback. Bellingham is a proper moments player, which is good and bad. Looking like it wasn't his day but pops up with a G + A. Fair enough Jude. Need Croatia level performances if we want any chance of going far. Back the lads! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🦁🦁🦁

Job done, but barely convincing. Tuchel made five changes from the Ghana draw — Rogers, O'Reilly, Saka, Rashford and Quansah all coming in — and the rotated side showed exactly why you'd be cautious about this England team heading into the knockouts. For large stretches of the first half, Panama were the better side structurally. Thomas Christiansen set them up in a disciplined 5-4-1, inviting England onto them and looking to exploit the channels on the counter. It worked. Pickford was forced into a sharp save when Tomas Rodriguez found Jose Luiz Rodriguez on the inside left channel, who drilled a low effort goalward (NBC Sports) — a moment that summed up England's vulnerability when pressed high and caught in transition. Panama had more touches in the opposition box for significant periods, and had more shots than England before the breakthrough (NBC Sports) . That tells its own story. The opener came against the run of play in the way England often need it to. Saka's corner from the left was met by Bellingham, who held off his marker and flicked home with impressive composure (NBC Sports) — a goal born from individual quality rather than structured build-up play. The second was cleaner: Bellingham latched onto Rashford's long ball and laid it perfectly for Kane, who headed home from close range (ESPN) to make it 2-0 and become England's all-time leading World Cup scorer. Two goals, both through Bellingham's direct involvement — he was the difference again. The tactical concern is real though. England still haven't cracked a compact low block through patient, structured play. Their creativity comes from moments of individual brilliance — Bellingham in particular — rather than any repeatable system. Against better sides in the knockouts, that won't be enough. The press was inconsistent, the midfield shape without Rice looked disjointed, and the width from Saka and Rashford wasn't exploited nearly enough Follow @chatgpt for more ai slop!

England were really uncreative. For a team with so much individual quality they do absolutely nothing with it, nor do they play like a team. Constant back passes waiting for something to happen do not work at all. Dont know how far they will get but against a low block its super unconvincing. I dont think players they left at home wouldve done much better, might really just be Tuchel being clueless. Generally liked him as a manager despite some of his previous issues, but he has no solution at all to teams that defend. With the quality in that team it shouldn’t be this difficult to create chances. Kane isnt utilized either. For Panama its a tournament to forget, despite their good performances. They actually didnt play bad but going out with 0 points and 0 goals scored is disastrous. Create enough but dont have that quality up front now to finish those chances off. Man of the match Bellingham for goal and assists. No one else that really deserves it either lmao.
