Rayan Cherki, absolute game changer. Despite the scoreline, Manchester City weren't even at full force. I believe if this team were at the top of their game it would've been a lot more! I still can't get over that Cherki first, amazing dribbling and quality low finish to top it off. He was the guy who won them the game today. Erling Haaland barely even had to do anything but still managed a double as well. If City keep consistent they can definitely be title challengers, however, I believe there is a long way to go! A few flaws in passing/defending that I believe top teams can capitalise on. We'll see how Maresca does. For Palace, they struggled mostly to keep up. There were loose passes by City that they didn't do well to capitalise on. The loss of Sarr due to injury was big, plus their defenders still have time to gel properly. I did think Tomiyasu was very good though with his cameo. 2/2 losses for them, will be interesting to see how Pierre Sage changes things up. Obviously Cherki gets MOTM, he was on another level to anyone else today!

Haaland and Cherki free eats game FPL points to the moon though so I’m fine with City win

Man City

Much better game for Man City already. As always a little bit of patience pays off. Cherki showed his quality last week and was allowed to show it from the start this time, and that he did, incredible game from him and easily best player today. Foden also did well, mostly that assist for the 1-4 was great with a brilliant run. Two more Haaland goals, was a matter of time for his goals to be honest. Ayyoub Bouaddi made his debut too, a good debut id say. Still young and all that but i think he’ll make a good impact on the team. Palace looked dire, again, suppose they scored but thats more Yeremi Pino his brilliance with some luck. Do love me some random opta stats, like the fact that only Andrew Cole (25 goals in 44 appearances) scored more goals than Haaland (24 goals in 16 appearance) in August. Cherki obvious man of the match, like i said before easily best player today.

Not a City fan but Haaland🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

Man City

City looked much better in this match than they did in their opening fixture. Cherki, what a player man and to think that Maresca benched him last week 😭.

Man City

Didn’t expect City’s Maresca to move like that icl, however I am leaning towards Palace being bad more than City being good especially without Glasner and some key players. Anyway City played a great match overall from stopping every Palace chance to create something to scoring as soon as the chance was given. Cherki so far has been the best player in City and the main difference maker with Haaland going back to one touch shot goals. One main thing I noticed is that Maresca’s ball is more direct instead of the negative possession during last Pep years, excited to see how they’ll develop under him and will we see another 2023 City or no .. GGs 👏

Man City

you can never count out citeh mann kudos to both cherki and haaland for their wonderful performances

Man City
IM MOVEDDDD!!! THIS IS THE NEW ERA OF MANCHESTER CITYY!!! OUR TEAM PLAYED BRILLIANTLY, ESPECIALLY WHAT A SHOW FROM CHERKI. FODEN PLAYED GOOD, EAGER FROM THE FIRST TO LAST MINUTES, HAALAND GETTING BACK HIS GOALS, AND EVERYONE ELSE DONE THEIR JOB PERFECTLY. UNLUCKY GOAL TO CONCEDE, NOTHING TO DO AGAINST THAT. BOUADDI LOOKED GREAT EVEN WITH LIMITED MINUTES, MCAIDOO ALSO PLAYED QUITE GOOD. LESSGOOO WE'RE WINNING THE TREBLE AGAIN ARENT WE??!!
