Spain had the reigns in their hands this game, Austria couldn’t really get any grip on them. I dont know if i like this midfield of Rodri, Pedri and Olmo though. Pedri was often let alone in the midfield and wasn’t able to do what he does best with Olmo. Yamal played okay, but still recovering from injury so im not expecting the absolute best from him. Enjoyed the 2-0, some good football and Pedro Porro heading it in. Austria had one or two chances but really not enough to do something back. Third goal was a lovely pass and a lovely run, just a lovely goal. Huge win for Spain and they’ve impressed me even though theres a lot to improve still as well. Pressing from Austria was great though as expected from this pressing machine, just tough to play against a team like Spain. Oyazabal now has 22 goal involvements in 14 games. God knows why so many people dont rate him because hes so important to this team, im a big fan of him. Two assists from Cucurella so a good game from him yet again, hes also very hated but thats for his antics. Man of the match for me is Mikel Oyarzabal, two goals while being a constant threat and almost all his passes arrived too. What a player for Spain honestly. Another fun event was my mother tripping in slow motion over the bag that holds all the food for our dog, incredible save by me that i was around, always at the right place at the right time. All happened during the second hydration break so i didnt even miss anything lmao.
