unfortunate and disappointing result for my first ever portsmouth match, however i did not expect to win against west ham. they invited pressure from us in the first half and then just turned a switch on and scored 2 immediately before the half ended. i’m hoping the rest of the season will go a bit more smoothly.

West Ham started the game sleepwalking until they let a goal in, after that they woke up and the tie was never in doubt after that. Great football with a largely rotation squad is what will most likely get them over the line if they are to return to the Premier League next season.
