I recall the commentator saying: “Burkina Faso their defense has been good.” It was the 35th minute and 3-0 for Côte d’Ivoire already. Kinda just says it all, they dominated and Burkina Faso never came close. Les Étalons Dames scored a nice goal, but Les Éléphantes Dames had control the entire way through. Red card did not help the Burkinabé either. Either way pretty fun watch, whole wafcon has been very entertaining despite the issues with having to find streams. All this makes me so incredibly excited for next years World Cup in Brazil though, vibes will be immaculate 😮‍💨. (Cant add a motm from Côte d’Ivoire but Inès Konan deserves it)

Okay so I had to miss this. Crazy ass day. Anyways I remember Ivory Coast being in the first WC I watched in 2015 and was thinking surely they got enough talent to beat burkino Faso and they sure did. Good win for the elephants.

my first time watching wafcon!!! very excited!!! côte d’ivoire were definitely the better team but burkina faso improved in the second half imo and put up a better fight than they had been
