both teams made tournament history and it was beautiful to watch from the group stages. Cameroon utterly dominated and Malawi's defense just couldn't hack it. even though they will be upset knowing they didn't play their best football, Malawi should absolutely be celebrating qualifying for the WWC. post WAFCON thoughts: despite CAF's poor organisation and advertising of the tournament, each team played their hearts out in every game. so many overlooked teams caused upsets for tournament favourites. so many players took the chance to shine for their countries despite not getting as much game time for their clubs. messy group stages forced us to try and work out who needed what to qualify and coaches and fans were literally trying to figure it out on the sidelines (#justiceforZambia😭). it's clear to see that the future of African women's football is very bright!!! Michaely Bihina, Ines Konan, N'Sira Safi, Marie Ngah Manga stocks are UPPP📈

thank you CAF overlords for gifting us a competent commentator💛. the difference was staggering. both teams battled it out in the first half. build up to Cameroon's first goal was beautiful. after the longest wait in the world for VAR to check ... (still not sure what was being checked), Traoré banged Mali's penalty in. probably would have ended 1-1 because even though Cameroon were hungry for it, they couldn't finish any of their attempts. howeverrrrr, Karentao gave away a silly penalty and Cameroon got their 2nd. the Ghana that beat Cabo Verde would struggle against either of these two teams👀 so safe to say that the next games will be fun to watch

i love an underdog story. predictions and history pointed to a clear Nigeria win but Malawi fought for this win the whole game. Sikelo had the box under control and Malawi's defense made life difficult for Nigeria. Nigeria did not look like they would score at any point in the 1st half. tactically, Nigeria could have easily adjusted to neutralise the Chawinga sisters' threat but didn't so 2nd half, they ate two goals almost back-to-back and a 3rd one after their penalty goal. final 20 minutes were so exciting, they woke up the commentator. Malawi's attacking sisters put the WIN in CHAWINGA. what a game‼️

Zambia W6 - 0Egypt W

so, so good to watch. Zambia were on the ball from the first whistle and completely dominated Egypt. they struggled to finish too many opportunities in the 1st half and a better team would have punished them for it👀, but they got it together in the 2nd half and scored 5 of their 6 goals. Kundananji's work rate and passing were top. Banda absolutely eyeing the Golden Boot. such a shame that performances like these have been made so hard to watch by CAF. also even though it's laughable how poor the commentary is, i don't think incompetence like this would fly at any other international competition ‼️
Ivory Coast WvsBurkina Faso W
