By far the best WAFCON match so far. The drowsy commentator was definitely a highlight like give that man a Red Bull or something. Anyways back to the football Nigeria looked very underwhelming until it was too late. Meanwhile for Malawi who I consider a dark horse it was a masterful performance. The chawinga sisters showed up in full force. Watch out for them Africa.

Football is so fucking beautiful, obviously Malawi have the Chawinga sisters but youre kidding yourself if you think they are favorites against Nigeria who have won 10 out of the last 14 wafcons. Overconfidence from the not so Super Falcons got the better of them yet again. Absolutely incredible feat, with goals from both sisters too. Defense from Malawi performed well too, they deserve their praise.

i love an underdog story. predictions and history pointed to a clear Nigeria win but Malawi fought for this win the whole game. Sikelo had the box under control and Malawi's defense made life difficult for Nigeria. Nigeria did not look like they would score at any point in the 1st half. tactically, Nigeria could have easily adjusted to neutralise the Chawinga sisters' threat but didn't so 2nd half, they ate two goals almost back-to-back and a 3rd one after their penalty goal. final 20 minutes were so exciting, they woke up the commentator. Malawi's attacking sisters put the WIN in CHAWINGA. what a game‼️

WAFCON WAFCON WAFCON. No fan support in the stands, commentary sucks ass, caf’s broadcasting sucks ass doesn’t matter all these girls do is ball. Malawi with the huge upset though Nigeria made it respectable score even though they got outplayed whole game

my fav wafcon 2026 match so far!! found out while watching that this is malawi’s first time even qualifying so to see them beat nigeria in their first match, nigeria not only being the defending champions but ten-time champions, was really impressive. very entertaining match, really enjoyed

I was rooting for Nigeria but Malawi were playing pretty great I couldn’t even be mad about it. Beautiful performance for their debut.
