FranceBelgium0 - 1Francegreat game that had plenty of entertainment despite the scoreline. france seemed to be conserving the energy for parts of the game and seemed happy to allow themselves to face some pressure (probably because no competent defender is scared of de ketelaare) but also had plenty of shots thanks to doue who just got unlucky at times. towards the end there was the realisation by zidane that forwards like olise, cherki and dembele would be needed to close out the game but even then they struggled controlling the game and their goal came from a transition. olise is my motm for scoring and obviously changing the game as soon as he came on but doue today was exceptional as well as godts and lavia for belgium 👍

But when i watch modern Italy play football i just get sad. None of the players seem to care, none fight for the badge, none fight for each other, and they start fighting with Lukaku of all people while losing 0-2. I dont know if Italy can be saved soon, it just needs an entire overhaul and the mentalities of all players need to be fixed. Tonali especially just needs to stay away hes a scam. Regardless of that Belgium played well, but i only really care about Godts, hes my pookie and rarely gets minutes for PSG despite me watching every time in the hopes to catch his first goal, but Luis Enrique is a hater. At least Mark van Bommel (curse his family) knows that Godts is the goat, and what a fucking goal he scored. Im proud of him that he got on a Bookd post match poster.

Italy are seemingly unsaveable. This was their moment to restart a new era with flying colours but they got everything wrong tonight very disappointing. More boos for Barella again, another night to forget for him in an Italian shirt. If it wasn't for Donnarumma it would've been even more embarrassing, they need to turn things around extremely quickly for at least some progress. Belgium were solid and not really threatened too much with Godts, Tielemans and Raskin the standout players. I'll give MOTM to Godts for the goal and he really threatened down that left side, probably should've got another goal though.
