German-Mexican Dortmund fan living in Berlin, trying to remember every game I’ve watched while writing reviews because I’m bored and love football.
Arsenal3 - 0Man City
Due to the opening ceremony the kickoff was delayed by a few minutes but the game got off to a fast start right away. Just 23 seconds in, Calafiori, who had pushed forward, found the back of the net for the Gunners after Lewis-Skelly had set him up brilliantly. Following a promising and open opening phase, the game slowed down somewhat, though it still produced City’s first notable chance in the form of Foden’s curling shot. Eight minutes later the ball found the back of the net once again at the other end when Havertz headed in a cross from Tzolis to make it 2–0. The closing minutes of the first half saw more good opportunities for both sides. A City double chance, saved by Raya and White , was followed by a dangerous first-time shot by Calafiori and a crucial clearance by Gvardiol . With both Doku and Bruno Guimaraes carrying injuries, Grealish returning from loan came on for Man City and Rice for Arsenal at the start of the second half. The opening minutes, however, mirrored the start of the match, as Ödegaard made it 3–0 as early as the 48th minute with yet another Tzolis assist. Afterwards Arsenal remained in control even when City had possession, staying compact and alert defensively. Overall a brilliant performance from arsenal, this game really showed how important Rodri is for man city.

What a way to start the season, 2/2 games won and 4-1 win in the first home game, and this performance was great. First of all, the stadium atmosphere was great, everyone was excited for the first home game of the season. Then the game starts, and it was just awesome. It’s the second minute of the game and Grönning, who already scored in the first game makes it 1-0 for Hertha, and they just kept going. Heidenheim really stood no chance in the first half, they gave Hertha a lot of space (which Winkler and Zeefuik punished by scoring 2 more goals) and they literally had no goal-scoring opportunities except for a shot in the 40th minute, it was really fun to watch. Then the second half starts, and obviously Hertha didn’t attack quite as much because of their 3-0 lead at halftime, and Heidenheim even scored 5 minutes into the second half, but this really didn’t affect Hertha, the Defence was great and they had some counterattacks including the one with brekalos assist for Adewumi, who scored his first goal for Hertha in the 90th minute, so the game had a nice ending and it was definitely a great day for every Hertha supporter. The team really feels like a family and, who knows? Maybe at the end of the season we’ll be celebrating promotion. Great start into the season and great game, especially from Josip brekalo, who definitely would have deserved to score a goal.

This will forever be one of my favorite games of all time, it was just absolutely incredible. Once again a terrible first half, but what happened in that second half is unforgettable. Paco alcacer gets subbed on and scores three goals in 37 minutes, including a free kick goal in the 97th minute to give us the 4-3 win with the last kick of the game. This game had everything: Drama, tension, great goals and just an incredible ending with that wonderful free kick. I will never forget this. Bayern losing 3-0 at home on the same day was of course the cherry on the top

Leverkusen2 - 4DortmundThis game was absolutely incredible. It couldn’t have started worse with Leverkusen leading 2-0 at halftime, banger goal from Weiser (1-0), and Tah scores the second one. It was really bad and we didn’t even create any chances. But the second half was just so insane, we played awesome football and managed to come back and win 2-4, this game was the start of prime paco alcacer

We went down in the first minute, which was really annoying but after that it was flawless. Dahoud scored a wonderful header and Axel Witsel scored a bycicle kick in his Bundesliga debut. Great game
