I was originally planning to compose and conjure one of my usual informative, in-depth, and, at times, silly pieces of writing, exploring the history, the rivalry, and just how awful it was to endure this particular match against the likes of Sevilla. Much like it was for all of you, where this proved to be an extremely difficult viewing experience for numerous reasons. However, there was one significant matter that eclipsed all others, compelling me to abandon my usual approach and shift toward an entirely different subject. It was not merely because of the performance displayed upon the iconic grounds of the Estadio Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán, an underwhelming showing that fell well beneath the standards we have come to expect. Were it not for the individual brilliance of Rodri, Cubarsí, "Lamine," and the greatest player in the world, Raphael Dias Belloli, we could have easily found ourselves enduring yet another familiar embarrassment. Nor was it solely because of the hostile and, at times, aggressive environment that engulfed the match, accompanied by what can only be described as an absolutely magnificent atmosphere to witness, but fucking awful to experience as the visitors. Rather, what truly tainted this evening was the recent news surrounding F.C. Barcelona and the decision of its disgusting leadership, alongside the detestable delegate members who voted in favor, to approve an agreement with the Israeli-founded entertainment company Babylon Park to install and operate a family leisure space within the Camp Nou.
