Three for me and two for them. Respect, Respect, Respect man, Respect” This game has two insanely interesting aspects: A. United being arguably the better side in the first half B. Ander Herrera playing at CB Both sound shocking but the first one is very true, Man U created enough chances to go into half time leading by one or even two goals, and the second one, was in my very humble opinion, a relative success. A 3-0 scoreline makes both those declarations seem crazy, but when watching and rewatching the game one will see Lingard miss, Rashford miss, Lukaku miss. And then one will also see the corner goal scored by Kane was very poorly defended and I think De Gea didn’t also deal with it too well, and the third goal was a Chris Smalling mistake, not very related to how the team played or lined up on the day but rather a purely personal mistake. This makes Lucas Moura’s first goal the only one where the team, defense and Mourinho can genuinely be blamed, and that goal didn’t even come from Herrera’s right-hand side of the defense. He both performed decently defensively and bombed tirelessly up and down the pitch for 90’. This game was supposed to be the sequel to the 2017 Herrera-led tactical masterclass Mourinho had vs Conte’s Chelsea, but I believe he was let down by his players against Spurs, notably De Gea, who can’t really be blamed, as he is arguably the main reason Mourinho even was given a third season managing.

very weak refereeing not in terms of bad decisions but in term of weak stances and poor handling and/or control a side effect of the introduction of VAR and of the over-scrutinizing of referees, they are now afraid to call a contested foul and just wait for the decision in their earpiece creates ambiguity and lessens trust i don’t think either team was poor, Jose blamed or scapegoated the ref by nitpicking and using out of context screenshots, he knows even his genius and personality won’t make him safe from risk under Florentino after the weak recent Madrid era Real were the worse side, deserved to lose my MOTM: Giuliano, won the penalty and assisted the goal, tirelessly ran up and down the pitch

Boring game I was very excited when I first saw this fixture on my calendar Maignan - alright, nothing was his fault, still conceded 2 but both were great goals and not Mike’s fautl Pavlovic - always stands out, today he atleast seemed like he was trying, bare minimum yes but the other Milan players didn’t even show that De Winter - mid, missed a chance and made a few mistakes Terracciano - was decent, very involved, no idea why he was subbed off Bartesaghi - useless, did nothing Musah - average Musah performance, always there to pick up a loose ball, not much else tho Jashari - absolute ghost Chuwueze - yes he’s quick and all but very clumsy and rarely ever any end product Cissé - not his day today, didn’t really do anything that memorable, lost the ball a bit often Hutchinson - in some moments he showed promise on the ball, atleast gave us that feeling of looking towards goal and heading there, but amounted to nothing and was hooked at halftime Goncalo - first few Milan games this season I was impressed by his work rates and distance covered and dropping into different positions sometimes, but without any end product or efficiency infront of goal game after game, he’s just a waste of 75 million who does cardio for 90 minutes twice a week Amorim - awful lineup selection and poor sub decisions, so everything a manager is responsible for, he did wrong. dreadful
