painfully slow start against a side with 0 shots and ideally i'd have preferred higher goal difference, but i'll take a 3-0 win after the schedule we've had and going into international break

Lyon W0 - 0Chelsea Wconsidering i expected at least a 5-0 battering (not because we're on the same level as lyon's previous opponents, but out of concern for how tired our players look) i'm relieved to go away with a point for this. pretty decent defensive performance to close out the second half, especially when a lot of our squad have played three games in the space of a week. however, it was extremely frustrating to not capitalise on a rare moment of lyon not being as productive in front of goal as they usually are.

this could’ve easily been a 5 star match if the silly goal wasn’t conceded mere minutes after we took the lead. but the effort to not fall apart and not concede any more was immense. very pleased to have witnessed that ellie rocket in person!
