Started really well for Villa, i enjoyed Hemmings his plays a lot, before he also gave a brilliant trivela assist. Very simple but good finish from Tammy Abraham as well. After that it got shaky though, especially Bizot did some questionable things, but so did Mings. Midfield of Barkley and Bogarde did not help either. While a good free kick from Coventry; Bizot really should’ve done more there, he really just stood still and gave Torp all the space in the world. Good corner kick routine from Villa to get Mbaye his first assist and Barkley his goal who wasn’t marked at all. Mbaye absolutely brilliant by the way, great game from him. Second half definitely got better for Villa, with Suzuki being subbed on at half time which is a huge breath of fresh air. Another Tammy goal, with again a Villa player being unmarked at a corner kick to score. Villa played great for the most part today, shaky at times though also with players that i wouldn’t put in the best 11 of Villa. Harwood-Bellis had a good game, Wan-Bissaka was quite good, Mbaye was brilliant, Hemmings was incredible, Manzambi also had a good game coming off the bench. So it’s looking very promising, as always people write Villa off early season, but if everyone is fit and available they look very good. Not much to say about Coventry, they scored a goal i guess, from a free kick so let’s see if they can score from open play lmao, their defense was atrocious. Unfortunate for them their one sided rivalry ended in a loss at home 🥰
