both teams made tournament history and it was beautiful to watch from the group stages. Cameroon utterly dominated and Malawi's defense just couldn't hack it. even though they will be upset knowing they didn't play their best football, Malawi should absolutely be celebrating qualifying for the WWC. post WAFCON thoughts: despite CAF's poor organisation and advertising of the tournament, each team played their hearts out in every game. so many overlooked teams caused upsets for tournament favourites. so many players took the chance to shine for their countries despite not getting as much game time for their clubs. messy group stages forced us to try and work out who needed what to qualify and coaches and fans were literally trying to figure it out on the sidelines (#justiceforZambia😭). it's clear to see that the future of African women's football is very bright!!!
