Stars looked so bad even with having a 2 player advantage. Idk what Sjören is telling them but the complete lack of urgency and spirit and energy felt intentional. Swanson and Gareis were the only bright spots. Truly incredible they ended up with the win.

Traaaaaaash. I’m sorry but Manaka (chi) struggled tonight. Maitane should start over her based on her last few performances. So thrilled Mal is back and I hope that we can see some great connections between her and Huitema and Joesph. I will be praying to the Soccer Gods to heal this Stars team because omg it’s so bad.

Honestly I thought the Stars played rather well despite losing 2-0. They had plenty of chances and were knocking on the door to get a goal but just couldn’t quite seal the deal. The second goal was so disappointing. I have so much love and respect for Alyssa but that was not the best decision to make in the situation. It hurt to see that one go in off such an egregious mistake from her.

Once again weather was terrible by the lake and I was not prepared. A mediocre match of football tho. Stars played okay and since it was against Boston it ended with a win. Atkinson was great and was the reason they got the shutout. That triple save was epic. Coach definitely made the right choice starting her, tho I do feel for Alyssa neaher. Also got to see Caleb Williams up close lol

The young US lineup looked so bad. They’ll have a lot to learn from this. The subs made a huge impact but the team seriously lacked a sense of urgency to try and get an equalizer. Japan did a great job disrupting the US’s flow and managed the game well despite not having much possession
