There is a lot to say about this World Cup, but let me just focus on how I feel about this final. At first, I thought I would be happy no matter who won since I support both teams. But maan this is Messi! He was my childhood, my teenage years, and now my adulthood. I wasn’t ready to witness his last World Cup dance end this way. What an awful performance from the team except for Emi he was fighting alone :( Messi was the best player in this tournament. Argentina weren’t convincing, and in almost every match we expected them to lose, but then my GOAT did what he always does. He delivered a historic performance and carried this Argentina team all the way to the final. I felt every emotion throughout these crazy matches and made so many unforgettable memories. All I wanted was for football to reward Messi with another World Cup as a gift for everything he showed in this tournament :( I couldn’t hold myself together when I saw his tears while his fans were chanting his name 🥺 Also with Licha getting injured I honestly wasn’t in the mood either, hope he makes a speedy recovery 💔 In the end, I want to say that I’m just grateful that I got to witness the Messi era.
