This is Yoshi Kawaguchi. He is commonly regarded as one of the worst players to play for Portsmouth football club. He was a Japanese goalkeeper who was believed to be a solely PR signing for Portsmouth. Spare a thought for Yoshi tonight, as this season he has watched Gabriel Martinelli score a total FOUR goals past Portsmouth and Japan respectively.

CAMPEONES CAMPEONES 🇪🇸 ARSENAL BRINGS HOME THE CUP🏆🏆🏆 Complete domination and nullification of Argentine as a teta ball enthusiast i am moved. It’s a good day another F. Torres bring home World Cup and Enzo unlucky lad does what he does best Today the World Cup ends and I’ve spent it all documenting it on this app, what a journey it’s been; stayed up too late watching Scotland vs Haiti. Regretting watching Qatar vs Switzerland but always with people who love the sport just as much. @odevertz29 is the goat who put me on to this app, lil sis who I did infact traumatise at a grocery store with the ozil news (iykyk). arigato bookd nation and my arsenal family❤️

The world cup final is over. This tournament has been incredible, and this community has made it far more enjoyable. Thank you to everyone who has played a part in this incredible community. I have loved posting my penguin GIF throughout the tournament. Thank you for making posting a short clip of a penguin kicking a ball infront of a second tier spanish side's badge special. I was born in Sutton on October 7th, 2006. Just under two years later my brother was born, and a year after that we moved to South-West London, where I have lived ever since. I may not be a Castellon fan, but I am an Arsenal fan, like my brother and my parents. We sit and watch all of the matches together, unless we're at the Emirates. I was introduced to Bookd by my brother. I saw him talking on this app and it looked intriguing, so I asked him what the app was, and I downloaded it. Thank you, @elz , for introducing me to Bookd. I found the penguin GIF simply by typing "football" into the GIFs tab. I am unable to recreate this. Perhaps it was fate that I found that GIF. I am 19 years old, and entering the second year of my Games Design university course at my University in central london. I have always had a passion for games. I hope to one day unite my passions for game creation and for football. If anyone wishes to check out my work, play my newest, and by far my best game, Leviathan, at https://spitefulcurb43.itch.io/leviathan . I will continue posting my penguin GIF throughout matches, but expect me to speak actual words from time to time in the Bookd chat. This community is excellent, and recently I have been wondering what will happen after this tournament ends. I have decided we need a Discord server. Everyone is welcome to join. Here is the link: https://discord.gg/Y9Yf7NHBe Once again, thank you to Bookd's developers, community, and most of all, thank you to the gimmicks. I will be able to answer any questions you may have in the replies. And now, for the last time this WC:

Pretty good match, both teams had lots of chances to come out ahead, England just played the marginally better game. National team Jude is a completely different beast, Gordon and Spence off the bench both played well too, I thought Konsa at RB was a poor choice when lineups released but he put in a very good shift didn't noticr many mistakes from him. As things stand I think England will likely be favourites against Argentina in the semis, hoping for an England win solely to give Kane his Ballon D'or. @taha happy belated birthday @scartinelli please post dog picture @dylan England🏴🏴🏴🦁🦁🦁☕️☕️☕️ The TSN broadcast just shut down in the middle of wonderwall wtf I'm vexed. I have attatched photos of the sunset yesterday, as well as photos of the moon, although I must admit it looked much nicer in person

And just like that all the host nations being knocked out in the same round. A game with a very heated lead up due to the Balogun suspension. And the game honestly lived up to it. Belgium looked fired up and it’s exactly what i expected of them after all that. Initially surprised Doku didn’t start but maybe Rudi Garcia knows a little bit of ball after all. De Bruyne also benched which is a little strange but he hasnt had the greatest tournament. Shocking mistake from Freese, doing that at 2-1 behind is absolutely insane and completely buried the game for USA. Who wouldve thought that the worst position in USA their team would eventually be the one to kill their hopes and dreams. The whole team have looked quite nervous the entire game, which ultimately led to their downfall too. Ream had a shocking game but he’s also old as fuck so who’s surprised. Huge error for the 1-4 as well, glad Lukaku got his goal that man deserved it for all the slander. First Belgian to score 3+ goals at multiple World Cups now. Dare i say Belgium looked good today, wayyyy better than previous games which is surprising for sure. Still dont like Rudi Garcia though but he had a good plan for today at least. Really unfortunate to see Onana get injured, hope it’s nothing bad but it ain’t looking good. Personally very happy for my southern neighbors, and not because the whole red card situation was bullshit and goes against the integrity of the game, thats just an extra reason lmao. USA has a promising team so im sure they will be even better in 4 years. Man of the match De Ketelaere, brace and an assist I suppose lmao. He played a very good game though, so much better than he was in previous games.

Fuck Ronaldo, for the last time this tournament that i have to say that. Not a goal fest but enjoyable regardless, huge chance for Oyarzabal early in the game that should’ve been a goal. Also a great save from Diogo Costa. Couple of chances for Ronaldo too but nothing too crazy. Love myself some last minute winners though, Mikel Merino is just so good in those kind of situations, just knows where to be at what time. I can just continue my agenda on hating Roberto Martinez because he’ll never do anything useful. Yet again i ask for his coaching license to be taken away and gifted to me, id do a better job with this Portugal team. Theres no tactic or strategy at all, just go make sure Ronaldo gets an opportunity thats it. No wonder the PSG Portuguese are lost because they are used to an elite manager. Maybe Portugal will be better in two years, or four years, that depends when Ronaldo leaves. One of the best teams in the world but Ronaldo makes this team useless. Also bye bye Ronaldo. I will also say again, after i already did after the Austria game, that this midfield of Rodri, Pedri, and Olmo doesn’t work. They are all too far away from each other leaving Pedri all alone and unable to do what he does best. Fraudulent behavior from DLF. Baena is just rough, but if Nico Williams was fit he wouldn’t be playing at all. Cubarsí was yet again so mature in that defense. USA or Belgium next so should be a slightly easier game for Spain. Man of the match Rodri for me, he put in a shift and a half today. Most touches, 13 progressive passes, 6 defcon too.

Game of the tournament nothing comes even close what the actual fuck. Jude Bellingham proving me wrong and Jordan Pickford proving me wrong. Theres so much to say. A great start to the game, very close to each other, but Jude getting two great goals within 90 seconds of each other. Mexico scoring the 2-1 quickly after too to get into half time. Second half was so violent honestly, fair read for Quansah id say as well. Two penalties, one for each team to keep it 2-3. The moment Quiñones was subbed off it was kinda it for Mexico though, very strange decision. Gotta give credit to England, even though i called it after my Mexico - Ecuador review as well. England just have much more quality against a team that doesnt sit back. Obviously wasnt like that all game because of the red card. But the passion after that from all the subs as well was incredible, they put their lives on the line and thats something you only see in international football. Only 33% possession lmao. First team to beat Mexico at the Azteca in a World Cup game too. Its a unfortunate ending for a excellent Mexico this tournament, but they can still be happy i think all things considered, especially with someone like Mora being even better in 4 years. Having this World Cup classic at the Azteca made it a absolute 20/10 its not even close, my favorite World Cup game of all time. Ref was also great this game to keep a chaotic match in check. England - Norway will be a banger. Man of the match gotta be Jude though he was great, but honestly all of them were excellent. Just wow honestly this is what football is about.

People overhating on this match in discussion, wasn't bad at all imo, a LOT of missed chances - xG doesn't tell the full story there was at least 3 chances that would've been all but guaranteed goals had they been connected (Martinelli header, Haaland far post tap in, Casemiro cross). Haaland will win MOTM but really should be Nyland imo, was immense today. Norwegian commentary was very funny, terrible audio quality, immense clipping for the nyland pen savs+both Norway goals, felt like my sound system was about to implode. @scartinelli @midgetlover here are some carefully curated cat photos

Honestly a great game from start to finish for me. Great start with an early offside goal. Soon after the penalty, with a great save from Nypan. Nypan had the game of his life i will take everything back i ever said about him, free agent currently as well. Vini was great, such a good player yet again. The trivela pass to Endrick in the second half had me smiling for a solid 30 seconds. The battles between Haaland and Gabriel were great as usual. Norway their midfield was incredible too, they dominated the midfield. Ødegaard specifically bossed the midfield. But who else than Haaland for Norway? And why not twice while he’s at it. He makes everything look so easy. He has scored in each of his last 14 games for Norway, has 7 goals in 4 World Cup games. First goal was already great, but that second goal was even better. What an incredible goal. Just get him a statue already, he’s 25 and already one of the most iconic Norwegians ever. Who would’ve thought that Brazil would eventually lose it all because their midfield is outclassed, i didn’t think it would be Ødegaard, Berg, and Berge to dismantle them completely though. Five games now between Norway and Brazil, the Norwegians are still unbeaten. Norway in the quarterfinals is absolutely fucking insane. I just love the emotion on their faces, even of Haaland who ive not seen cry before as far as i can remember lmao. Man of the match is not even tough, i do not care for Haaland scoring a brace. Nyland saved Norway on multiple occasions, with a penalty, with basic saves, and with one of the best saves of the tournament. So obviously it’s Ørjan Håskjold Nyland. That last penalty doesn’t even matter to be honest. Referee idiotic btw for needing a new kickoff as well.

Paraguay0 - 1France
Game went exactly as expected to be honest. Paraguay their super defensive style makes it difficult for France to do anything really, quite enjoyable to see the defending, i personally like the art of defending. Whole game was more or less the same, France just not really able to create anything until a penalty was given, great dribble from Désiré Doué. Who else than Mbappé. 11th knockout goal, as many as Cristiano Ronaldo has in total, and Mbappé his 19th goal in total now. In a way unfortunate how this has ended for Paraguay, the last 3rd placed team to be knocked out. I quite enjoyable them, their defensive style is fairly rare, only really Ecuador coming to that level. I hoped to see more of them but their side of the bracket is incredibly rough. Insane how the ref just didnt card anyone though. France a bit more disappointing today but i dont think you can blame them, it was scorching hot and it is very difficult against such a defensive team. I think theyre still favorites just slightly over Spain. Man of the match is honestly difficult to decide as no one really stood out. But i think Kouadio Koné was the best player on the pitch today, i already tend to go for midfielders but he really just played a great game.

Argentina3 - 2Cape Verde Islands
Fuck Ryan Mendes first of all, get some fucking consent first you idiot. Fairly slow game the first half, as expected a defensive Cabo Verde, couple of chances for Argentina but they needed a absolute beauty of a pass from Martinez (made in Amsterdam) and a even better finish from Lionel Messi to score the 1-0, what a first touch and what a goal, insane. Second half Argentina played way too slow, Cabo Verde got more into the game with some chances, but actually scoring the 1-1 is a beautiful moment for the country. Scored by someone born in Netherlands. Vozinha was again insane, few incredible saves. Incredible how this went to extra time, its Cabo Verde their whole identity or something. Lisandro Martinez scoring a quick goal which was perfectly placed, i love that man. But Cabo Verde, specifically Sidny Lopes Cabral, born in Rotterdam as well, scoring potentially the best goal of the tournament and him just running into the stands, standing there for awhile just not knowing what to do, and eventually getting hugged by his girlfriend, is maybe the most beautiful moment of the tournament for me, love that they didnt cut away from that. Thats just special. Is it Argentina if they dont still score the winner? Unfortunate goal to concede since it also deflected of a handball from a defender. Argentina were weird though, just so slow this game and every time when they got a lead they just stopped bothering to do more, they have enough quality to keep going. Huge respect for Cabo Verde though, they gave it their absolute everything. Messi is the first player to score 7+ goals in two editions of the Mens World Cup, first player to score 20 WC goals, he also now has 13 goal contributions in knockout games, surpassing both Pelé and Mbappé who have 11. Also 12 goals in the last 8 WC games. And also the first player to score in 5 straight knockout games. Man of the match Lisandro Martinez, he was great all game honestly and a incredible assist + a good goal.

First id like to say fuck Ronaldo, 2009 will not be forgotten. I would also like to say that as I’m known for my tactical analysis that Roberto Martínez is a fraud and should give his coaching licenses to me because i genuinely think i would make a better manager than him. I think the first half wasnt as bad as many people said. To me it was okay, ive seen muuuuch worse and there were some exciting moments. Cristiano Ronaldo played disappointingly as expected, but theres something beautiful yet weird about watching one of the greatest of all time to be this washed, i dont quite know how to explain that feeling because i also just really dislike him as a human so maybe that impacts some of it. He had zero touches in the box throughout the first half which for him is just disastrous, long gone are the days of him being the best in the world. Vitinha has been very disappointing too, just plays very safe but its also necessary because if he risks things than the attack will not be able to do anything useful as they are awful lmao. A super defensive Croatia too, not too many attacks from their side which was disappointing to see. Second half started incredible honestly, immediately some chances and who else than 37 year old Ivan Perišić scoring the opener. Most goals on World Cups now for Croatia. Almost a insane equalizer from Rafael Leão right after, im a huge hater so seeing how he hit that woodwork made me a bit nervous lmao. What a hit though. Ronaldo finally scoring a knockout goal! But it was offside, brilliant goal if he timed that run better. He got his knockout goal anyway though, not the best pen he has taken but it went in anyway. 100% pen too, no way around it. With that he becomes the oldest goalscorer in World Cup knockouts at 41 years and 147 days. Another fun fact i saw was two of the 7 oldest goalscorers scoring within 15 minutes of each other. Also as many international tournament goals as Ronaldo Nazario now with 25. More in comments
