this is the weird awkward two day phase of football after international break is over and club football slowly restarts again, so i decided to watch this. this honestly wasn't that much of an entertaining match up until like maybe the last few minutes where siirt pulled one back but then yeşilyurt sealed the deal with the ball unluckily falling back into the goal after siirt's goalkeeper saved it. and practically everyone decided to get injured in this match too, which was kind of crazy to me. aside from that, even though the stadium wasn't really filled, the atmosphere was beautiful. in the stands whenever they showed it in the broadcast, it was full of palestinian flags alongside turkish flags and even the players participated in it by having armbands on in the colors of the country. after doing a little research, i found out both teams had issued a joint call for solidarity with palestine with the slogan "raise your voice for gaza, take your place in the stands". yeşilyurt even urged the citizens of the city malatya (where they're based) to come to the stadium with the tickets being free. that is a very beautiful gesture and shows that things, that are off the pitch are often way more important. Free Palestine. 🇵🇸❤️🕊️

What an amazing game, Man City came out on top with some quality finishes, but let's not take any credit away from Sunderland and Brian Brobbey (Brobbery @scartinelli), they were brilliant. These are my favourite types of games, defensive chaos and attacking joy, not when Villa are in that situation, but when I can just sit back and enjoy the football. Thanks for the Sunday afternoon cinema, Manchester City and Sunderland. ❤️🩹👏 I don't usually give MOTM to the losing team, but Brobbey was an absolute beast.

Napoli0 - 1ArsenalI think the result was set before the match even kicked off. A traditional 0-1 to the Arsenal, a class Martin Ødegaard strike to get all 3 points for the Gunners. Professionalism is very much an understatement for how Mikel Arteta dealt with this game. Patience paid off in the end after Allegri allowing Arsenal to have the ball, hoping his low block wouldn't be exposed, but it ultimately was. The goalscorer was the man of the night, dictating play and putting in a proper captain's performance. Napoli had a good structure, but if you don't threaten at one end, you're going to suffer at the other. Hojlund getting barely any service for chances, then deciding to bring on a lackluster Lorenzo Lucca was very questionable from Massimiliano Allegri. I think the foundation of the performance was in the right direction overall, but the execution was once again not enough. A loss against the champions of England is no embarrassment though, they'll still be kicking themselves that it didn't go according to plan. MOTM as I mentioned, Martin Ødegaard. Back to back great performances, showing his worth as captain.
