was a very good game tbf i think the arsenal performance was actually quite good all things considered. dowman and tzolis have been incredible. gyokeres has also been very good but is still making a few unnecessary mistakes. the academy kids have been incredible and o’neil deserves a big shoutout for how he’s been playing. nwaneri has been immense we need to try our best to keep him. nwaneri wasn’t an option for potm so i went for the goat

we went 3-0 up in 15 minutes and i thought wow surely that’s us winning the game. ashley sanchez stay goated and evelyn ijeh has been doing huge things. then nothing really happened for the rest of the first half and i thought yeah sweet we’ve won. half time came around and i started thinking to myself omg we’ve done it we’ve beaten spirit. then the second half started and we conceded just as early as we scored in the first half and i thought oh this could get rocky then just 3 minutes later cantore got a second for spirit and i thought oh shit this is gonna be close. then in the 90th minute bernal has the audacity to score a last minute equaliser and my morale was completely down and i thought yeah we’re gonna get a draw aren’t we after dominating the whole game. then stoppage time came along and we nearly conceded a 4th goal in the second half and i thought omg there’s a chance we could even lose here. and then in the 90+5th minute (out of 6 added) Nat Jacobs my lord, my saviour, my queen. that goal might just go down in history as the best ever nc courage goal, and this might even be deserving of going in my favourite games. overall thoughts are erica meg parkinson is changing my life. nobody will ever replace manaka but when you need someone to bring in after she’s gone, EMP is the best choice and i’m so happy she’s ours. ashley sanchez is genuinely our best player and she deserves MVP this season. evelyn ijeh has been absolutely incredible and im so so happy for her. i do think spirit had a bad game and especially a bad first half but i also think that doesn’t take anything away from from how amazingly well courage played and how deserving we were of that win. part of me wants to give potm to nat jacobs purely for just how exhilarating that goal was but if we’re being realistic nobody deserves it more than ijeh. even if we took away her goals she did so immense and helps the team perform better when she’s on the pitch. she’s incredible.

sadly this was a very good game. score is a lot more lopsided than the game itself was. Courage were very poor the first half and the game looked like it could easily finish 5-0 or worse, second half they massively improved and really did look like they should score more. unlucky to give away a penalty so late on, especially when the game was already more or less done with. overall positives are that erica meg parkinson and lauryn thompson were incredible, definitely ones to watch! i also think that we’re showing we can still be competitive without manaka, again, despite what the scoreline depicts. negatives was schlegel in general - very bad. ash sanchez had some good attempts but couldn’t do anything, with any of them. Ijeh also had one attempt that she really did awful with but, she gave us hope at 2-0 down so i can’t be too mad. subs were made far too late and not when needed. 9 goals conceded in 3 games and 3/4 losses since manaka left also says a lot. orlando pride next won’t be fun but let’s hope they have a bit more for us than they’ve had recently, especially these past 2 games. i would definitely start erica meg more often and lauryn thompson should get on sooner, perhaps even starting ahead of schlegel. POTM for me has to be erica meg, youngest player on the pitch at 18, but for me she was by far the best for courage and i’d argue the best overall too. definitely a bright future ahead of her and i look forward to watching her more for courage! hopefully she’ll start scoring and assisting and never look back

Paraguay0 - 1Franceas expected france started off the better team by far. paraguay had a few sporadic attempts but nothing really challenged the french defence. paraguay did good defensively but didn’t really look to go forward too much and they looked scared of a french counter attack at times. the paraguayan players did well at doing little things to get under the french skin and i think you could see that was working. the french players started getting annoyed and you could tell with some of their balls into the box and some of their buildup play forgot to write notes for the second half but paraguay were silly to give away a penalty when they didn’t need to at all. potm mbappe cause he scored the penalty
