Genuinely I don’t even know what to say. I don’t want to be corny or anything but damn. I’m in denial and I bet this isn’t even going to hit me until a random night. What makes this match worse is the amount of nostalgia I have been feeling these past few weeks, and knowing how much football takes a part of that. I don’t ever think I got formally introduced to Messi. My first major memory of watching football was during the 2014 wc (I did watch before this dw). I still vividly recall watching his matches and how Argentina “took revenge” for Mexico over the Netherlands. Ofc, I also remember watching him lose that final. During and after that wc, Argentina went to become my “backup national team” behind Mexico until 2022 (when they both played in the group stage). Dont even get me started on when he left Barca, I could literally tell u everything about how that day went. Anyways, I could and would write so much more but I just can’t. Sometimes I’ll talk to my younger cousins and it’ll upset me to know that they never saw the prime versions of so many greats, and how they don’t even know who some of them were. It’s sad to know that some people are never going to experience seeing Messi play for Argentina live. Thank you Messi, for being a part of me and my childhood 🫶

Typical, scrappy English derby in Wolverhampton. I said that West Midlands derbies know how to do it right, the game wasn't the best, but the atmosphere and the duels on the pitch carried the game. Wolves clearly had more quality, but West Brom still fought til the end, they just had no quality in the final 3rd of the pitch. The fact that it took a Nat Phillips mistake to win the game for Wolves too shows it was still there for the Baggies if they had created a decent chance. O'Leary was brilliant in that first half, but Andre was great again for Wolves, probably should've been booked but he won plenty of duels and interceptions. Thought it was odd at the end that the referee told Toti to go off but he ignored him and the referee didn't even notice. The poor standards of English refereeing...

Roma seems to be dominating in the first and Manu Koné was putting in a superb performance, but Inter Milan came into the second half and completely shook the balances and evened the score. Lautaro Martinez was on one today as well. I’m a neutral so these games excite me and I have a good time as for some of my mutuals, I know they hated this score.

Much better second half, dug deep and actually put more of an effort into it. Lautaro was rewarded with his efforts and stepped up like a leader should, if only we saw this fight in the first half it might've been a different story today. Really frustrating again we had to come back. Too much switching off in defence in recent matches. Chivu has to sort it out ASAP.
