Wolves probably the better team but struggled to break down a Blackburn side who despite most predictions having them going down, looked very decent. Fer Lopez my MOTM, unbelievable in the 1st half, was a bit quiet 2nd half but still had sparks. Andre did well in midfield spraying diags around for fun. Alebiosu ran the right wing too but was so silly in giving the pen away Atcheson was solid on the ball, especially with his carries but was left far too much space for Munetsi to exploit for the first goal and was lucky not to give away a pen and a dangerous free kick
WolvesPSG2 - 1Aston Villa
PSG not at their best but good enough to see Villa off, however Villa can be proud of the performance. Madjo is actually insane, bullying Pacho at the age of 17, could have scored a hatrick but the finishing will come with time. Every single McGinn cross on the money aswell. Maatsen solid going forwards as was Nun Mendjj.

Lankshear was really active, shame spurs sold him. Someone needs to tell Whittaker he’s allowed to pass the ball. Malanda is a baby John Stones. Imray was very involved. Berhalter seems a seriously good footballer

very interesting match despite being goalless. heard good things about nijmegen tactically and i wasn’t disappointed, their man to man press was incredible at times. also was impressed by the ball playing abilities of Sandler and Crettaz and Fonville made a few overlapping runs from CB too. Chery was very involved dropping deep as well. Sadly there wasn’t too much attacking brilliance here. Game massively opened up when Martins, Jota, Mor and Tadic were subbed on. Nejasmic solid defensively. Definitely not a game for a casual but a fascinating tactical display mainly from NEC.
