Potentially the worst game of the tournament, Algeria committed so many fouls too that made it a lot worse tbh. Barely any chances too. Glad the Moroccans got the win though i like their team.
Valencia WMorocco W1 - 0Algeria Wnot our best game but we were finally able to break down the algerian defense who was a brick wall this game. Big 3 points
Cameroon W2 - 1Mali W
Maybe the ‘worst’ game ive seen this tournament so far but it was pretty solid still. Some very questionable refereeing though. VAR check for a penalty took legit 5+ mins just for the call to stay the same, still dont know what they were checking. Mali couldve maybe gotten away with a point, but unfortunately couldn’t do enough offensively and lost the game. 50% pass accuracy with like 98 passes is diabolical i cant lie. Id give player of the match to Marie Gisele Divine Ngah Manga (what a name) for the brace, cant give it to her in the list but oh well.
Nigeria W2 - 3Malawi WFootball is so fucking beautiful, obviously Malawi have the Chawinga sisters but youre kidding yourself if you think they are favorites against Nigeria who have won 10 out of the last 14 wafcons. Overconfidence from the not so Super Falcons got the better of them yet again. Absolutely incredible feat, with goals from both sisters too. Defense from Malawi performed well too, they deserve their praise.
Zambia W6 - 0Egypt W
Egypt were no match for the Copper Queens, dominated from minute one. First half and most of the second half even Zambia struggled a ton with finishing, but eventually they still won 6-0. Reckon it could be 10-0 if they were clinical from the start. Barbra Banda establishing herself even more as one of the best players on the planet. 4 goals, assist, and won a penalty. So involved in all 6 goals. Excited to see what more they can show this tournament. Still disappointed by the broadcasting, its better, but still unavailable in Netherlands without a vpn, like why? Its literally streamed by CAF on YouTube but region blocked. Commentary veryyyyy below par too. Its such a fun tournament so far but CAF are fucking it up by barely marketing any of it. Up the womens footy its peak entertainment.
