Kumar in the starting eleven and immediately we have clean sheet 👀 Great display from the team today! Sure, early red card helped but still very proud of everybody. The win here will for sure be a huge confidence boost for the next three very difficult matches that await us. Giving this match 4 stars instead of 5 because we still made quite a few mistakes and we weren't clinical enough in 1vs1 situations which would've been extremely frustrating if we weren't leading. MOTM for me is once again, Frederiksen! He was (again) everywhere on the pitch and I am glad he managed to get an assist today. He had solid chances to score too but it just wasn't his day. His brilliance really came to light once our key players left. Honorable mentions are Doumbia and his control of midfield & Jaganjac and his brace. FORZA ISTRA 💚💛💚💛
HNK Hajduk Split2 - 2Istra 1961They wanted us to lose so bad but we still managed to get on top 😘 Two potential penalties for us and only one of them getting reviewed by VAR is frustrating and hilarious at the same time. I hope the ref is pissed that his ticket did not go through since clearly he wanted Hajduk to win so bad. Super proud of the boys though. First half was bad but we showed up in the 2nd half and never gave up 💚💛 we really have a solid squad going on and we could do great things with a reinforcement or two. Hope they get a well deserved rest now, especially Frederiksen since it is obvious that he cannot play the full 90 minutes and he is our best player atm, and prepare for the Slaven Belupo game. With such a young squad I knew we would lack experience and the two first goals were conceded purely because of that. We desperately need a well seasoned centre back. MOTM is Frederiksen for sure, he was literally everywhere on the field and delivered two goals. I was afraid towards the end he would collapse on the pitch because he could barely stand :/ The atmosphere was amazing and I was glad the stands were so supportive of the boys despite having so much skepticism ahead of this season. A lot to build on and work towards, we have a tough schedule ahead and a win here would've given us a lot of confidence but oh well. Proud of everyone on the pitch, FORZA ISTRA SEMPRE 💚💛

Dinamo ZagrebIstra 19612 - 0HNK RijekaIn honor of HNL coming back this week, let me revisit the first time I saw us beat Rijeka IRL and how glorious it was 💚💛 We played so well and completely overpowered Rijeka, at one point our possession was even at 71%, something that rarely happens (especially when playing against them 😭). Truly a masterclass from our side and impressive misses from Rijeka's side. Their fans were fuming hehe. This was our first win against Rijeka in HNL on our home ground in 8 years so yeah, it's been a long time coming and it felt so satisfying. One of my favorite Istra's games for sure. Last picture is not mine but I love how our players took ultras' banner where the Istra's mascot (goat) is stomping on Rijeka's mascot (shark) and posed with it, must've felt great for them as well. Let's replicate this score and feeling again this season 💚💛

Wish we showed better quality but considering our best and key players left the club and we brought only 1 proper reinforcement this was an expected result. This season will be very difficult and relying mostly on academy players will not be good in the long run but oh well fuck it we ball. Also we are somehow unbeaten in all the friendlies we played this preseason???? This has never happened before lmao FORZA ISTRA I GUESS!!!💚💛

Dinamo underperformed in the first half but somewhat got their shit together in the 2nd half and managed to equalize. They had so many missed chances, it was hard to watch 😭 but I am sure that also artificial turf had a part in that. However, next week they are playing on their own ground on real grass so they should have more luck winning then (I guess).

With so many of our senior players leaving and academy players getting their spotlight, I was worried how that would affect our gameplan but they proved me wrong. But of course, this was just a friendly and the real test comes next month when the league starts. MOTM for me is Goričan. We signed him this winter to improve our left wing since our best winger left the club but he did not manage to fill his shoes at all and he was tragic on the pitch. Glad he's been improving his form since it seems he will be a crucial player next season (unless we sign someone better 👀) Lastly, shoutout to Milton for livestreaming the game, otherwise I wouldn't be able to catch it 💚💛

Hajduk scored with their worst player on the pitch and it was an offside but the assistant ref for some reason did not call it and in that exact moment the electricity in the stadium went out so VAR couldn't get involved??!! You cannot make this shit up, it pisses me off to this day. Hilarious moment was when Livaja acted like a child and put our player's arms around himself and threw himself on the goalpost expecting a penalty lmao. He was so ridiculous and somehow he did not receive a yellow card for his various antics. Truly awful refereeing during this match. We played such a beautiful football and it is a shame we lost 2 points to Hajduk's and ref's circus. A good thing from this game I guess is that I saw Croatian legend, Ivan Rakitić, play at my stadium (no matter the wrong club) which was a surreal moment.

The only thing I respect from that piece of shit coach is him benching Livaja. No one is above the club and the fact that Hajduk's fans stand behind the player and not the club says all I need to know. Even though they lost, Hajduk is off to the next round but if they play like this they can kiss Europe goodbye (again). Pafos will be a difficult opponent for them so it should be a fun match for me 😋 The only bright side for me is Pukštas who really plays beautiful football and I truly wish for him to find himself a better club.

You cannot just let Argentina have all the possession and pressing (with Messi on their team at that) and hope for the best. Really poor tactics from Tuchel, especially when in the last 15 minutes is where Argentina is the most dangerous. In the end Messi's brilliance prevailed. Also, El Toro is always there in the clutch moments 🔥 so happy for him!

Experiencing our win for the third place at the World Cup in the hometown of Livaković, Erlić and Modrić was incredible. So many fireworks, celebrations, people bringing out this huge Livaković cutout throughout the streets 😭 and of course the highlight for me was a few days later when Livaković and Erlić arrived in the town and were celebrated. I even managed to somewhat meet them. Modrić sadly couldn't make it but he did make a video for us which was really nice. These were spectacular few nights! I hope to get experience something like this again someday ❤️🇭🇷

Brazil showed determination and strength in the 2nd half and they deservingly won the watch. Gutted for Japan but hopefully they switch up their tactics in the next tournament. Suzuki was brilliant as always and I wish I could erase Casemiro's six seven celebration from my mind.
