Rio Ave0 - 2Porto

Today was better. It was, for me, clearly better. Faroli had a more offensive approach that just did not go that great because of the lack of effetiveness that Porto's attack has. Nevertheless, today I see reasons to feel good about this team. Im really happy for Borja. We criticize him a lot, but we dont know how does a player perform with the passing of a Mother. Entering the field every day with the pressure of scoring for her must be devasting. I hope he found peace today and that he can have more freedom playing. Hwang is a baller and sometimes it should start over Veiga, for sure. And my MOTM, for sure Kiwior. He deserved so much that goal, it sucks. For Rio Ave, Diogo Nascimento is clearly their best weapon, but its crazy how a green guy can take all the fun of such a charismatic club. Next sunday is Arouca, let's go!

Porto
Parma2 - 0Catania

Fun first time with Parma showing interesting things. I was hoping Catania would bounce back on the second half for entertainment, but nothing else to say. Entertaining game for clearly two limited teams. O was happily introduced to Simone, really solid finisher (the second goal was a goodie)
Sporting CP3 - 2Vitória

How not to love hatewatch sporting. No doubt, they are the better team from the 3 giants (including the team I support), Porto never in 1000 years could score the second goal. Flávio is a gem, Ioaniddis is enough for Portuguese football and they have strong principles. Only if they had a proper goalkeeper and a manager. If Rui silva keeps being sportings first choice, things will go ugly for them.

Sporting CP
Heart Of Midlothian1 - 1Benfica

Hearts played for their dignity, and Benfica didnt play for anything on specific. Some interesting moves. Duran still doesnt convince me, Prestianni is growing and Barreiro is really underrated. Goodluck to Hearts on the UECL! Charismatic club who deserves the best.

Heart Of Midlothian
Dinamo Minsk0 - 0Braga

I have no words on how bad and sufferable this was. My gut feeling tells me Braga wont finish 4th this year. And Vincens wont finish the season.

Braga
PSG2 - 1Aston Villa

Mid final. PSG are casually dominating Europe in my lifetime - yikes.

PSG
Banfield0 - 2Belgrano Cordoba

(Only watched the 1st half) Fun to watch! Belgrado is clearly a well managed teams. They shown some details that were just incredible. Good experience!

Belgrano Cordoba
Porto2 - 0Alverca

Faroli makes Bordelas look like Guardiola. This is just not good enough. Alverca is a weak opponent, no doubts about that. They have a decent CB and winger, but nothing more than that. Porto scored twice with penalties from lost chances. Clearly Alverca's mistakes. Organized attacks were weak, Pepê is still the same guy from 2022. Diogo Costa, the CB's and Frodholdt are the keystones from this team. Nevertheless, 2 points ahead of Sporting.

Porto
PEC Zwolle0 - 2Ajax

It should be criminal having Dolberg as a starter in 2026. Good start for Ajax. This team has potential for this season.
Estrela2 - 2Sporting CP

Absolute banger. Sporting came out as the strongest contender for this year league, with a solid pre season and a solid rebuild. The thing is, players like Hjulmand and Gyokeres are generational, and finding replacements is hard. Sporting changed everything but their two main flaws - Rui Borges (manager) and Rui Silva (goalkeeper). The first half was decent from both parties, with more chances from Sporting and good counters from Estrela (with Inácio stopping all of them). The second half was crazy. Salazar with a G+A shown why we was the best players outside the 3 giants last season. Ioannidis with a goal and Flávio being the next big thing. However, mentally Sporting is just not good enough. Estrela recovered and with a CHILDISH mistake from Quaresma, estrela bounced back. And then another mistake, this one by the keeper, to make it 2-2. This was a very good one. Estrela surprised my a lot and based on what ive seen, they might be Europe contenders this year. Such a good team to watch.

Sporting CP
Guimaraes0 - 1Arouca

Average Vitória behaviour. Signing a prospect manager - trying to aim for Europe - selling their best players and only having bad youngsters and Liga journeymen who just aren't good enough*

Arouca
Hibernian1 - 2Motherwell

I want to follow more scottish football, and this was a really good preview. Hibernian has some interesting youngsters but they lack experience and competence of decision. Both teams clearly like to have more direct attacks and on the 1st half there were last chances. Motherwell seemed better or more secured on the most of it. Thus there was nothing more than a penalty and little more. The second half this were getting the Sam rythm until Hibernian's penalty. 1-1 without quality on the attack. That goal motivated the home team who were clearly better, with Paulsen and the defenders preventing them to score. Nevertheless, Motherwell was better defending and had some interesting counters, and just like that they managed to win. Its frustrating for Hibernian but thats football. Good win for Motherwell.

Motherwell
Man City1 - 1Inter

Entertaining. Inter did a decent first half, exploring City let them have on the flank, with a huge note for Dimarco. Season after season he keeps performing really well. City performed well too, with every chance coming from Semenyo, who passed to Mubama. On the second half City was my miles better. Inter couldn't counter and was condemned to City's typical pressure. Savinho grew a lot (Semenyo in the center is not as dangerous) but didnt have the last pass. Nico was also really good and it was the key on that midfield. Loads of chances were created, but there wasnt a Haaland out there :'). Also, I really hope Maresca gives chances to McAidoo. He's young and tried to do things all by himself, but its a gem. I'm excited to see him play. After the 2nd half, only Bisseck and Pavard (my MOTM performed well for inter), without any offense produtivity whatsoever. Negative notes: - Gvardiol (what was that pass on Inter's goal???) - Foden (it's just sad to see how he plays currently) - Echeverri (the reason these players need one or two seasons in Portugal of Netherlands before going to the Premium). Best surprise: - Vítor Reis (shown strong signs of evolution).

Inter
Deportivo Riestra3 - 0Boca Juniors

I want to watch more South American football, apart from Brasil. And this was beyond entertaining. There was no beauty, just a pure physical match between 22 players without any skills, but a lot of passion. I got automatically keen of Quintana. A white beard CB, always my type. Made a somewhat weird assist.

Deportivo Riestra
Porto1 - 0Alverca

For the Championship!

Porto
Estrela1 - 2Porto

Porto
Nott'm Forest1 - 0Porto

That stupid error by Bednarek destroyed what could be a really pretty story.

Nott'm Forest
Porto2 - 2Famalicao

This one hurted. Another clutch moment, followed by and utter disapointment,

Famalicao
Braga1 - 2Porto

My game of the season. Against a strong Braga from Vincens, going behind on a penalty, that Kiwior pass that was a beauty leading to William's goal, and the Fofana clutch in the end. 10/10. I knew we were going to be Champions after this.

Porto
Porto3 - 0Moreirense

Porto
Benfica2 - 2Porto

Great game, terrible feeling. Probably the Classico i most suffered.

Porto
Nacional0 - 1Porto

Porto
Porto1 - 1Sporting CP

Sporting CP
Casa Pia2 - 1Porto

Casa Pia
Porto3 - 0GIL Vicente

Porto
Porto2 - 1Aston Villa

Decent for a pre-season. Porto still shows strong limitations just like last season on the attack, still depending heavily on set pieces. On a negative side, players like Kiwior and Gabri couldn’t perform well, which for centre back is worrying. But Hwang is a baller, it will be a strong solution in the midfield. Andre Silva is back and showed some interesting traits, but didn’t finish any ball, and we need goals. Gul is still the same limited player. The Aston Villa side is clearly on the early stages of pre season and thus it didn’t show a lot of strength, even less with the amount of players they lost. Great goal by Lynch, nevertheless.
ST. Gallen2 - 1Benfica

This was entertaining. Benfica started awfully bad and the 1-1 at HT was pretty much the best they could get. They didn’t play that bad on the second half and on most of it they had the control. The 2-1 was a set piece error that, on this level, you can’t commit. Kaminski is a pragmatic winger. A player that won’t go to the 1v1 and will be useful on the last touch. Nevertheless, you need resources to do it, and sidelining with Bah for that is an invite for things to go wrong. Tiago Gouveia, although has similar characteristics, had more impact, but still wasn’t good enough. Pavlidis and Rafa are still the best players. Kudos for ST Gallen, a significant win for them, although I suspect they won’t keep it to the next game.

ST. Gallen
Spain1 - 0Argentina

Scaloni disrespected Messi for this joke of tactic and mentality. Argentina SHOULD have done better, this was a joke. Messi carrying this morons to the final is itself a miracle. Well deserved to Spain, enjoy!

Spain
France0 - 2Spain

When Olise doesn’t play, France gets annulled. The Spanish midfield won them this game. It’s incredible how dominating they were against the best attack in the competition. THIS is the Rodry who is a ballon dor winner. Olmo was also incredible. On a fewer note, Yamal keeps underperforming. Well I’m getting sure we’ll get the Euro’s repetition at the final, and the last WC repetition on the 3/4 place.

Spain
Argentina3 - 1Switzerland

Argentina is still going. It’s incredible how this team without Messi would be a RO16 squad tops. Switzerland lost because mainly of Embolo, there’s no other way of saying this. Embolo opted to do a stupid dive in the middle of the field with no objective whatsoever, how to ruin a countries dream. I don’t see any MOTM. I’m feeling penalties against England.
Norway1 - 2England

Exciting game, with Norway trying their best until the end. I’m feeling Haaland will be the ballon for from next season, he deserves it. More than Bellingham, MOTM mas Spence for me, he completely changed the game. BECAUSE MAYBEEEEEEEEEE

England
Benfica1 - 2Flamengo

Club football is officially back for me! António Silva proving why he should not even be in discussion to Portugal’s defense. Just not good enough. Really liked Manu Silva gaining some confidence though. Flamengo is the biggest team in South America, it’s a fair result from a better team.

Flamengo
Spain2 - 1Belgium

Spain still doesn’t enthusiast me. I don’t know, but I feel they’ll be trashed against France (which I’m rooting not to happen). Yamal’s WC is not good, and they rely a lot on Rodri’s stability and on Merino as a clutch guy. Farewell to Belgium’s golden generation. Lammers (and Doku) has blood on his hands. It is funny, nevertheless, that every time we say a country has a golden generation they end up not achieving a lot. Belgium, Turkey (Portugal won a Euro WITHOUT this golden generation).

Spain
France2 - 0Morocco

Fuck Hakimi, first of all ✨ I try to believe this France team will be eventually knocked out, but they are special. The greatest player in WC history (or to be at least), the ballon dor, a solid defende with a great keeper, they have everything. Nevertheless, my MOTM is Olise, he’s everywhere and the game needs to pass through him. It’s unfair that he doesn’t score, but it isn’t his role, and he gladly accepts it. Well done, France. Morocco didn’t stand a chance.

France
Brazil1 - 2Norway

Forgot to review this one. Haaland is generational, for sure my favourite player from this new era.

Norway
Portugal0 - 1Spain

Get out of my country you trumpist megalomaniac piece of sh1t

Portugal
