What a way to completely mess up a game by Mexico. The first half should’ve ended very differently, but Mexico’s failure to put the ball behind the net cost them dearly. The second half was what it was and we have to start questioning why a goalkeeper that played in the World Cup a couple of months ago looked like a complete amateur here. Objectively speaking I liked the style Rafa is implementing on the team, but you have to do more. A lot of work to be done because a 3-0 is not the way to go. Oh well it’s Saturday so vamonos al BAILE! Ademas, de regalo de cumpleaños mi papá de alguna manera logró conseguir tickets para este partido, y jamás lo olvidaré. Desde el primer minuto y ya desde antes del partido se sabía que iba a ser un día especial, la verdad es que absolutamente todo en este partido fue perfecto. Disfruté mucho las vacaciones en México y este partido fue una de las mejores partes. Espero poder regresar pronto.

International Break and being sick got me bored as hell so decided to start (re) watching the ucl finals. Starting with the earliest one I could find on Bookd. I was sadly only a hatchling during Peps Barcelona and SAFs United, so I didn't watch this one live. Both teams were looking to get their 4th UCL title and United were entering the fixture with an advantage of the rematch of the 2009 final being played at the Wembley stadium. On the road to the final they beat reigning Ligue 1 runners up Marseille, Ancelottis Chelsea and Rauls Schalke. While Barca on their journey beat Arsenal with 4 goals from Messi, Ukrainian Champions Shakhtar and an iconic El Classico in the semi final that they won thanks to Pepe's red, Messi's brace and Pedros goal. First half Barca was dominant with about 400 passes and 69% ball posession (nice), thanks their iconic midfield trio Busquets, Iniesta and Xavi, who absolutely ran the midfield the entire match. But United weren't chuds and fought well in my opinion. After a classic tiki-taka goal from Pedro, the Red Devils (not Kaiserslautern) answered with a beautiful goal from the balding Rooney. The half ended leveled, but it was obvious who ran the game. Second half the Catalans were just as dominant. Therefore in the 53' minute, a 23 year old Lionel Messi made history with an iconic goal from a low driven shot outside the box. That marked his 12th goal in 13 UCL games to give Barcelona the lead. Every single goal in this final was a banger, including David Villas brilliant goal to make it 3-1 and bury the game. You can question his facial hair choice but not his finishing. The Puyol cameo at the end also made me laugh, no disrespect of course Great Match, had everything you wanted. Atmosphere, fun football, great goals and the better team lifting the Trophy. It's giving me a case of anemoia

Not the best game but it was decent for both sides. Mexico risked more in both halves and Colombia after getting 1 goal basically gave Mexico the ball to do as they pleased. Colombia then tried to win the game but the changes Néstor Lorenzo made weren't enough to force a 2nd goal. Props to Mora for a wonderful goal and Lucumi you never slide when marking a player who can dribble lmao. A draw is a draw, but Nestor Lorenzo needs to change Colombia's mindset after scoring the 1st goal and that's to keep attacking and not ease off the gas pedal because that's Colombia's biggest weakness.

Italy are just.. i dont even know man. I love that country, i grew up loving Italian football, ive spent countless hours of my life watching old footage of peak Calcio. But when i watch modern Italy play football i just get sad. None of the players seem to care, none fight for the badge, none fight for each other, and they start fighting with Lukaku of all people while losing 0-2. I dont know if Italy can be saved soon, it just needs an entire overhaul and the mentalities of all players need to be fixed. Tonali especially just needs to stay away hes a scam. Regardless of that Belgium played well, but i only really care about Godts, hes my pookie and rarely gets minutes for PSG despite me watching every time in the hopes to catch his first goal, but Luis Enrique is a hater. At least Mark van Bommel (curse his family) knows that Godts is the goat, and what a fucking goal he scored. Im proud of him that he got on a Bookd post match poster.

He was only allowed one game in the groups last world cup (this is a sign hes not great). A man that has always been front and center for refereeing mistakes in Spain, yet he still gets these kind of games. Today he showcased why modern day referees are nothing more than a sack of meat, lacking a spine, and more importantly lacking any sort of intelligence, let alone the knowledge required for the beautiful game. Disallowing the first goal in the game because Brobbey is literally just standing there is unbelievable, he hinders no one and has no part in the play, so it is mind boggling that he and his colleagues come to the conclusion it should not be allowed. The second goal is, somehow, even worse. A scrimmage in the box, with multiple Germans jumping on the ball like its a grenade (illegal btw you cant just lay on the ball), and Netherlands gets punished for it, but the funny part? We scored despite them breaking the rules, there was no foul, there was nothing that the referee could argue we did wrong, we got the ball after the filthy Germans fucked it up, we scored, and got punished. Besides goals his card game was off too; for example a yellow for a incredibly reckless - and in my opinion a red card foul - challenge that made Dumfries furious, so of course, Dumfries got a yellow, same punishment, verryyyyy different intents. I hope Alejandro José Hernández Hernández is happy with his performance and more importantly lack of extra funds on his bank account because despite all that he still failed lmao, we shouldve won and wouldve won with any other referee, but ill take a point with this fucked up ref.

well international break has me bored as hell AND in honour of the awesome run brighton is on this season, here is a throwback to the last home game i watched 😁 ‘twas the middle of winter where I was drowning in uni deadlines and i needed a break so i went to this game on a whim! i had a lot of fun hanging out with random diehard supporters and being around the whimsy of the people in seagull masks wearing Santa hats. In terms of the actual match it was goalless…with few chances…and no standout moments… yet it’s always a special feeling to watch a game in person so i had a great day out

can’t decide between 3.5 or 4 star rating! Of the last 5 bay games, this has probably been the best game they’ve played - mostly in sync, great defensive stops and tackles, decent runs and awesome chances/finishes. Dominant game 98% of the time. However I don’t think this is the best bay has played this season - best game is probably the 3-1 win against NCC early in the season. Feels like bay were still riding on the adrenaline and confidence after Wednesday’s Denver game. Several notes: - Hutton’s attacking into the box more which is great - adding variety is what we need - nighswonger’s services are so delicious and I still can’t believe she’s with bay - cometti and anderson stepped UP tonight. Absolutely loved what I saw from cometti tonight - this game had silky’s 100th save of the season and it’s from a free kick - 2nd goal from lema is actually so funny bc it reminded me of her goal against bloomer from the last time bay played louisville and she stunted on bloomer too lmao bay starting xi played pretty well and i love that for them (screenshot of their scores from sofascore though i think Hutton deserves a higher rating). im still not convinced on Rudy tbh but she definitely played great in the second half and def found her flow. I hope she keeps it up for the final games of the season. Obvsly sucks having injuries and disrupts flow both physically and mentally. Whatever happened in the locker room helped and locked the girls in. coates’ subs were so bad. unless it’s a medical prevention or whatever, why would you sub out your best players and the only decent forwards when the next game is 7 days away which is a long time tbh. Conti, Girelli and Barry were horrible tbh and idk if they were given a game plan. Wish I could put 2 POTMs. For me this game goes to pfeiffer and cometti. Let’s hope bay can keep this momentum up for Orlando bc they’ve been wishy washy but Banda is inevitable.

No adderall today so my review will not be as in depth. Missed a few critical chances late in the 2nd half and let Freiburg come back down one twice; this will be disappointing to look back at. However with how Freiburg has been playing, if you told me we’d come out of this match with points then id be quite content. Cock and Dick (koch and onyedika) have been quite disappointing this year but we only allowed 2 goals with 4 on the backline, so I am content with that. After 4 matches so far I think will at least qualify for the conference league this season.
