The stress I lived reminded me of the 2022 WC final…MY GOD. I thought I wouldn’t get stressed anymore because Leo already won his WC, yet here we are 🫠 That first goal was art. My goat never ceases to surprise me 🐐🤍 Shoutout to Cape Verde’s for an impressive tournament 👏🏻

That was a trashy performance but we move. I believe Julian Alvarez’s price just went up 🫠 My manifestation for a Spain vs Argentina final is still going strong 😌

And that’s a wrap! What a World Cup that was! To Bookd: I am so grateful I got to create this account just before the WC. It has been a pleasure to share my love for football with all of you! It really made this tournament bearable especially during the conspiracy theories drama 😒 so thank you! Can’t wait to share more moments together when club football starts! I already know it will be more chaotic 😏 To Spain: CAMPEONESSSS CAMPEONESSS OLE OLE OLEEEEEE 🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸 Eventhough the start of the WC was so irritating, but it was all worth it 🏆 I am so happy for my Barça boys 🥹 again proving that without FC Barcelona, there would be no success for Spain. Football heritage 💙❤️ To Leo Messi: Hard luck Leo. I know how much you tried during this tournament at 39!!!! You made me support Argentina the past years for God’s sake!!! When I saw you crying today, I started crying with you 😭 This was the second time you make me cry in my life, so crazy. Words will never be enough to describe the impact you made on my life, but I am forever grateful to watch you play football since you started at Barça. You made this sport more beautiful and easy. You are so transparent that it was so obvious how happy you were for the Barça kids, even while losing. Your love for Barça is so big, Leo 💙❤️ Gracias, D10S 🐐🤍 Now, seriously speaking, will Barça go on to win the UCL next season??? Because everything that happened in 2010 has been happening now. Crazy right??? 🤯

leo, four years ago, on december eighteenth, you moved me to tears in an argentina jersey for the first time. three months ago you did it again, and for the final time you’re doing it now. your love for both your country and the beautiful game shone radiantly through each and every international cap. i wish i could have started watching you sooner, in your prime, but i am so fortunate to have gotten to catch glimpses of it in these final years. an astounding testament to your skill and longevity. it’s hard to condense everything i want to say. in essence: the thought of a world cup without you is unconscionable. these past two decades you’ve led argentina to many victories, having to bear the brunt of every failure along the way. you can leave the world stage now knowing you’ve already conquered it. you brought joy to hundreds of millions on it. you’ll continue to do so off of it. my heart hurts when i think about how differently things could have gone this summer, but no one can ever say you didn’t give it everything you had. you defied all odds and expectations. there are no regrets. all we can do, all we have ever been able to do, is look forward. and i swear to god i’ll sit through every dogshit mls game ten times over for as long as you’re willing to play there. i often have this thought, resentful and naïve and selfish as it is, that one lifetime isn’t enough for you—for me, rather. i would give anything to watch you for another hundred years, another twenty-five world cups and copa américas. alas, while yours is a once-in-a-lifetime story, all stories must come to an end. isn’t that the whole appeal? as the sun sets upon a historic career, its light reflects off every cup and medal you’ve won for la albiceleste. what shines even brighter, even warmer, is the love of generations who were blessed with your football. gracias por todo, capitán, ídolo. as was once said four years ago, on december eighteenth, you have always been the point of difference. 🐐👑

So, the day has come. The day millions, maybe even billions, have been dreading has finally arrived. A human, much like any of us, has somehow managed to change all of our lives. He has influenced us in ways that perhaps no one else ever could. I started watching him when I was around five or six, but somehow, it feels like I knew him even before that. Like I had been watching him play from my mother’s womb. There was always something different about him. And rightfully so. For more than ten years, he made my life what it was. He gave me moments I’ll probably never be able to put into words, and memories that I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life. But alas, all great things must come to an end. Fortunately, his absence hasn’t really hit me yet. I don’t know when the days of sobbing and weeping will come, or when it’ll truly sink in that I won’t get to watch him play again. But for now, I’d rather dwell on the memories he gave me, as a Barça fan, an Argentina fan, and, above all, a Messi fan. If I had to describe his entire footballing journey in one sentence, it would be: He came, he saw, he conquered — both football and the hearts of billions. Gracias, Leo. For everything. The greatest there is. The greatest there was. The greatest there will ever be.
