This is the legacy City will leave in the game. Not the trophies, not the goals, but a project of industrial cheating for the sake of sportswashing. Losing this game bothers me not because of the result, but because it won’t mean anything. Losing is a part of the game. I’d rather lose like this than win by cheating. Gravenberch shouldn’t have gone in, but that was such a terrible call and just casts more of a shadow on this league, and on that club. Overall, pretty proud of the team before the red. I thought Semenyo and O’Reilly were the standouts for City, just top top athletes. For us, VVD and Jacquet had another good game, and I thought Gravenberch and Macca did well. The attack again went missing, and that’ll have to change against Brentford. We’re missing three starters, so add that to the final notes. The concerning thing is how Iraola reacted to a man down. Park the bus and settle for the draw. At this stage in your managerial career, you have to be humble and realize when to settle to not lose. Speechless is all I really am. You look at this Liverpool squad and think “hey, maybe they’ve got a chance”, but no. It’s as if there’s a border after the midfield that doesn’t want us to score. We play some of the worst footballing defense I’ve ever seen. Maybe our attack would cover it up? No. Instead, we have to rely on a supposed 150M player who can’t do shit when it comes to his club. Woke up at 4:30 am for this and after watching that first half, I started contemplating on whether to go to sleep or not but im glad I didn’t. Leeds have been incredible so far this season and for 61 minutes, they were the better team and if it wasn’t for Raya, Leeds could’ve taken the lead earlier into the match. Unfortunately it took them until the 55th minute to take the lead which only lasted them 7 minutes. Justin’s goal definitely woke up Arsenal as they improved significantly after going down. Bruno Guimarães also improved them once he came on. Fair play
