We all hate Popa ball until Popa ball is 1-0 up against Brazil 😂🇦🇺 Fuck me, I actually enjoyed that. Brazil had Vini, Endrick, Estêvão and Raphinha on the pitch and for most of the game Australia just refused to give them anything easy. Compact. Organised. Physical. Proper Popa ball. And somehow it worked. Herrington was TOP. Seriously impressive again. Souttar defended with that proper captain's swagger, throwing himself at everything and at one point deciding his head was an acceptable object to block an absolute missile with 😭 Okon brought the Aussie physicality and Yengi deserves credit too. Didn't get much joy up front, but did so much of the dirty work and gave Australia exactly what they needed from him. Brazil meanwhile were pretty poor. Estêvão was trying to send footballs into orbit and Raphinha apparently left his shooting boots in Barcelona. Then Irankunda stepped up. What. A. Fucking. Free kick. Power. Dip. Direction. Only the second Socceroo ever to score against Brazil and THAT'S how he does it. Brazil eventually found the equaliser through Rayan after Australia had spent what felt like an eternity absorbing attack after attack, but honestly the result almost feels secondary. This is a young Australian side and there is some serious talent coming through. Herrington. Irankunda. Okon. Beach. Maybe Popa is cooking something after all 😂🇦🇺

Moment of silence for those who missed this match... It all started to turn around when Jon Martin got a red card for a ridiculous handball, which was deserved honestly. Elche took the advantage against all the odds and tied the match 2-2. Lemar played that 2nd half beautifully and what a goal he scored! Glorious goals for them, but unfortunately Sociedad scored at the 90th minute to seal the match. What a game of football! LaLiga does not disappoint at times like these!

Two of the best debuts I’ve seen in a good while for us, probably since Lang or Sørensen. Thought Bielica showed why he deserves the start next week today. Distributed in ways Schmid couldn’t and made saves that were among Schmid’s best as well. BFS. My fucking god you are incredible. You are worth every penny and more and you deserved at least 2 today (should’ve been a hatty if you put that first half header in). Bielik you are a thug who grabs children by the throat. That kid and his mum got kicked out and Bielik didn’t get a booking (he was already on a yellow)??? Needs more than a ban he quite literally committed assault in front of 20,000 people. Cunt. I’m still not convinced if I’m honest. If you watched that game you’d notice sometimes it was all too easy for Cardiff to gain on us. Devlin once again looking shit (what’s happened Terry?) and the only reason we won 2-0 today is because Cardiff couldn’t finish their dinner. If both teams could actually play football this match wouldve been about 6-3.

The man dedicated his life to Portsmouth, both after his career with what I've previously mentioned as well as the 801 appearances he made for us from the bottom to the top of the English football pyramid over 2 decades. Some pathetic "performance" you lot put in to honour his and Beau's names today. What were you thinking of during the minutes applause before the match? I'll tell you what I was thinking of. I was stupidly thinking of how you would turn up today and properly be up for it to honour two of Portsmouth's sons. I am appalled today. And I am so upset that I don't even have the capability to be mad today. Some of you did try, that should be acknowledged; but you win as a team and you lose as a team. Today you lost as a team, pathetically and with a whimper. You settled for second best and didn't push yourselves. You are lucky enough to have been given the second chance of another home game next on Saturday, honour Alan and Beau properly this time. Alan Ball once said "This is Portsmouth, people went to war from this city". The oldest thing this city knows is how to fight back and defend our honour. That is the bare minimum responsiblity you have as representatives of Portsmouth. You failed at that today. Do better on Saturday.

My first ever time watching Barcelona live🤩What a surreal experience. Watching it in real life is sooo much more different than on TV. Raphinha is by far the best player in the team, his relentless pressing is unmatched and helps the team in so many ways, simply incredible. Yamal played amazing too but he needs to stop playing so cocky, is holding the team back, however, he is still just a kid and I have no doubt he will overgrow this. Visca Barca💙❤️

HEITS 💜💙🕊 I thought we were a lot better, Suzuki looks class for our system, his pinged passes were very satisfying to see. Cash actually had a good game too. I thought Tzolis was quite lucky to stay on the pitch, if the he wasn't already booked the referee would've given him a yellow for that 2nd drag back. Jackson looked sharp but we didn't offer him a lot. McGinn and Torres were quite off it again, lots of silly passes and slow reaction time. Bringing Tammy on for Jackson was very head-scratching, I don't really know how Abraham fits in our team as much as I love him. The thing Unai needs to drill into Jackson is work rate, that's what Watkins did best. Even when having a bad game he'd be non-stop running his socks off. That's the main thing we missed today intensity. Hemmings is very raw, he got a few things wrong today, however he has time to learn, I do like the look of him. Wan-Bissaka's cameo was very promising, every tackle was amazing. I can see why he's seen as one of the best ball tacklers in the world and hopefully he can give Cash a run for his money. (pardon the pun) Referee and officials were shocking, I've mentioned the Tzolis moment, but that penalty decision absolutely shocking. Everyone in the stadium could see it was not in the penalty area, they just guessed and gave a penalty. That's what VAR is there for though. I thought he gave so many soft fouls for both teams too, and didn't give many obvious fouls. Arsenal were way off it, I think if we had a sharper attack we would've definitely scored. But that's what league winners do, win the ugly games. I do think they will retain once again, not many teams can play below par and win like that. Well done to my Arsenal friends, however I hope we return the favour with a win at the Emirates later in the season. Promising signs - still Mbaye, Harwood-Bellis, Madjo and Manzambi to come in. Up The Villa!

FUTSAUL LATE REVIEW COS HE WAS WATCHING ALL IN: Very entertaining match. It looked like it was going to be 2 consecutive weeks of embarrassing defeats for United but they were able to turn on the style in the second half. They perhaps lacked a bit of energy early doors but a gift of an equaliser got them going. Completely went to town on Town in the second half. Bruno Fernandes is in a league of his own. Anyone who doesn’t have him in FPL must feel VERY stupid rn (don’t check my team). The defence is still an issue though. They nearly went 2-0 down immediately after conceding the first goal, and Martinez had a howler for Ipswich’s second, although by then it was only a consolation. Maybe he had rain in his eye, it did look fairly wet out there. Despite the heavy loss, Ipswich aren’t bad. A freak slip got United back in it, an own goal got them ahead and that made poor Greaves lose all composure. They need to improve their game management and how they react to setbacks if they want to stay up. The 3 behind the striker (Maeda, Enciso and Fatawu) look very threatening and are linking up great already. They’ll help them take down some lesser teams for sure. United away is a tough fixture and they won last week so they won’t be hitting the panic button yet. Palacios will sure things up in midfield no doubt. Anyway, new season of The Traitors (Irish version) is out tonight so I’m gonna watch that. Follow or I’ll make a frowny face 🙁

Liverpool starting the season slow. It looks like they have a lot of the same issues as last season, so it might take Iraola longer to sort things out than I expected. Ironically the most pressing issue is the lack of pressing from Liverpool. For a team that prided themselves on their heavy metal gegenpressing for so long, it’s really bizarre to see how lethargic they can often be since Slot came in. They were better in the last 30 minutes or so but it shouldn’t take them that long to get going, especially in front of an Anfield crowd. Forest will be happy with a point. They worked hard and could’ve had more but were under pressure towards the end as Liverpool upped the intensity. Glasner’s system seems like a nice fit for them, and if they can get Munoz it will be a big upgrade on Aina in an attacking sense. In terms of individual performances, I don’t think anyone was phenomenal, but McAtee controlled the game well, especially in the first half. Thought Munoz was actually quite poor until that brilliant goal he scored which then seemed to give him more confidence. Liverpool got it so wrong with the fullbacks signed last summer. Feels like they would both work better at Forest, especially Frimpong Thank you for reading this Futsaul review. Send me money

Switzerland out but their first quarter final since 1954, i think this achievement is more than they could have ever imagined. Argentina somehow survived again, im very skeptical how they will do against England, its not looking good at all they just play so so bad. Its Messi and thats all.
