Real Madrid have spent enough money to buy a small country just to play football that could put someone with insomnia to sleep. You’ve got Mbappé, Vinícius, Bellingham and half the world’s supposed superstars, yet the entire team has the chemistry of 11 strangers sharing an Uber. Mbappé runs like a Ferrari but makes decisions like a broken traffic light, Vinícius spends more time auditioning for a Netflix drama than playing football, and Bellingham has mastered the art of disappearing so well that even Google Maps couldn’t locate him. 😭😭 Madrid’s midfield moves the ball with the urgency of a government office on a Friday afternoon. Their attacking patterns look like someone dropped a plate of spaghetti on a tactics board. Mourinho has assembled the footballing Avengers just to produce the most expensive sleeping medication in European history. Watching Madrid build an attack is like watching your grandma type a password with one finger. By the time they create a chance, GTA 7 will have been released. The Bernabéu isn’t even a football stadium anymore, it’s a five-star retirement home with grass in the middle. And the fans have the audacity to call this football heritage 😭😭. Barça are out here playing football that belongs in an art museum while Madrid are producing 90-minute documentaries about the dangers of boredom. They could sign Messi, Ronaldo and prime Pelé tomorrow and somehow still end up passing sideways to Courtois. This isn’t the Galácticos, it’s the GaláctiNOs. A billion-euro squad playing like the Wi-Fi disconnected in the 12th minute. Forget El Clásico, the real rivalry is Real Madrid versus entertainment, and entertainment hasn’t won a single minute. What did I just watch 😭. Atlético Madrid somehow managed to turn what should’ve been a comfortable win into an absolute struggle. You’re playing against ALAVÉS, they have 10 men for the last half hour, and you still need an 87th-minute winner from your CENTRE BACK. This is genuinely embarrassing. Let’s start with Lookman because what on earth was that performance? Ten times he lost possession, not a single successful dribble and absolutely zero attacking threat. Every time he got the ball, you just knew the attack was going nowhere. Simeone had seen enough and took him off at half-time. And Robin Le Normand… what was he thinking? Atlético were comfortably leading 1-0 after a nice goal from Grimaldo, and he just gifts Alavés a penalty right before half-time. Completely unnecessary defending that brought them straight back into the game. Jonathan David actually did something decent with his assist for Grimaldo, but apart from that he barely influenced the match. Llorente had a brilliant opportunity to score and somehow wasted it, while Barrios struggled to make much of an impact. The funniest part was the second half. Alavés went down to TEN MEN in the 61st minute, and Atlético still couldn’t break them down. All that possession, all those passes, and absolutely nothing to show for it. Julián Álvarez hit the post from a free kick, Sørloth barely got involved, and the attack looked completely out of ideas. Then, after nearly half an hour of struggling against 10 men, Álex Baena finally delivered a decent cross and Cuti Romero had to become a striker to save them. Fair play to Romero, Grimaldo and Koke because without them this would’ve been a complete disaster. And somehow Atlético fans are going to celebrate this like they’ve won the Champions League. You needed a last-minute rescue against a team playing with 10 men. Meanwhile Barça are comfortably putting three past Getafe and playing actual football.

What a beautiful game of football. Honestly, watching Barça play like this is just unreal. The passing, movement, pressing and the way we completely controlled Getafe was amazing. This is exactly the type of football we want to see from Hansi Flick’s Barcelona. First of all, ANTHONY GORDON. What a player. Not even two minutes into the game and he was already causing problems. The way he took on the defenders before scoring his first Barça goal was ridiculous. He looked so confident every time he got the ball, constantly making runs and creating danger. What a signing he’s turning out to be. Gabriel Jesus also deserves massive credit. Getting his chance to start and immediately showing his quality. His pressing was brilliant, and the way he won the ball back before making it 2-0 was beautiful. The composure to get past the defenders and finish like that was pure class. Lamine Yamal was also cooking as usual. Every time he gets the ball you just expect something to happen. His creativity, dribbling and vision are ridiculous for his age. That delivery to Koundé for the third goal was perfect. He even came close to scoring himself near the end. Rodri was another player who deserves his flowers. The midfield looked so comfortable with him controlling everything. Gavi brought his usual energy and aggression, while Olmo helped keep the attack moving. Even when Pedri and Fermín came on, Barça never lost control. And KOUNDÉ scoring the third? Beautiful. His positioning and finish from Lamine’s cross were brilliant. Eric García was solid defensively and even helped create the opening goal. Gerard Martín and Xavi Espart also did their jobs, while Joan García barely had anything to worry about. The craziest part is that Barça did all this without even needing to go full speed. Getafe spent most of the match defending and still couldn’t stop us.
