The biggest low as a football fan. I watched this in high school and got into a fight with some fatass girl over my reaction to this. That girl now is probably in a crack house. Fuck her. Haram.

When I think of this game what do I think of? Hope Perseverance Adversity Belief Unity The indomitable human spirit Japan, the team that knocked us out the year before, the best team in Asia, the team expected to win the whole tournament. Against us, the team that went life and death with Syria, and stunk it up against Hong Kong in the groups. I thought we were so fuckedddddd. I woke up at 7:30 am for this, I remember me in the 7th grade watching the game against Japan in absolute shock and despair. More than anything I wanted us to win this. When Japan scores their first goal I was so stressed. I knew we needed something, chance after chance missed, untill mohebi scores. Mohebi was such a hot prospect at this time and this goal alone made me overrate him for the following 3 years LOL. Then the moment, AJ in the box gets fouled and lines up for a penalty. For so long Iran has always failed to make the chances happen in the last minute, taremi against Portugal, Ghoddos against the USA, even Shoja against Egypt in this past World Cup. But, he scored. He scored, my hero scored. I started CRYING my mom is telling me to calm down but im in front of my tv literally sobbing tears of joy. I was so overwhelmed with emotion that literally the only moment I could think of that had me feeling like this was our goal against wales, but even this had its own unique moment to it, it gave me hope that we were going to win. At a time in which Iran was at a low point due to whatever the circumstances of the world was, I thought that having an AC would be something that could bring us joy at such a low moment, and for a while it did. This is by far and away my highest point as a football fan, and I haven’t felt joy like this since, not with any personal achievements or anything, this was the last time I was this happy. I was screaming at my computer, we literally had Syria in our World Cup qualifiers that year and we beat them, I don’t know why, all of a sudden, in a game that actually matters, we go life and death with them??? Taremi showing his ability to get petulant once again and at this point to go out against Syria was going to be the biggest failure ever. But we won on pens so….

Got the job done. I mean as I’m writing this it’s nearly 4 years since I’ve watched these group stage games, so my memory is kind of clouded. We did what we had to do, with all due respect to the countries in this group, anything aside from topping the group would’ve been a failure. 9/9 was the norm and we met it. 2-1 against uae isn’t a desirable result and it just shows for how long Iran had been able to just scrape results against these Asian sides whether in Asian cup or in qualifying.

I was in the last year of high school during the tournament so I would watch all of the games during my filler classes LOL. This was one of the best matches I’ve seen TM play, the goal we conceded was kind of dodgy but this match really gave me hope.

I’m 12 years old. My sister is a freshman in college and decides to bring me onto her campus and show me her friends and her life while she’s away. It’s Sunday and her friend had told her that there was a Barcelona game this weekend, somehow there was a Barcelona themed restaurant/bar that was streaming the game and me, my sister, and her freshman year friend group all went to watch the game. What a joy it was. Every goal I was screaming jumping up and down, and I’m not even a Barca fan. The donut holes there were so good, the place ended up closing by the time I went to the same university, but really the nostalgia and the memories alone give this a 4.5 score. I couldn’t even tell you who scored. Ay I don’t wanna be that guy tho but ngl if my GOAT Ronaldo was still on real 👀👀 🔄

Living in America it’s hard for me to watch United games, so when I see a United midday game, I watch. BRUNO DIES FOR THE SINS OF LUKE SHAW EVERYTIME HE TOUCHES THE PITCH. GET HIM OUT. WHY IS A MEDICINE BALL PLAYING LEFT BACK FOR MY FOOTBALL TEAM If man united don’t address left back immediately then European football is far gone… so far gone Aside from Luke Shaw disaster class the rest of the team played well after Bruno’s goals, really without Bruno turning on the switch the whole team is dead. If Bruno gets injured we are fuckeddddddd I think the team themselves don’t even know how to build up. Dorgu crossing after rashford tries to run at defenders, through passes into cunha goes to floated crosses for Sesko. I think the sudden change is going to hurt us and our playing style moving forward, I just hope that there is some adaptability and the players are able to understand eachother better, but that has never happened with this team. All in all a much needed win for United, but this was the pinnacle of moments fc. 5 goals only because Ipswich got demoralized after the third. 2 1/2 stars at best.

Context: In high school I was very interested in cybersecurity. My district had tournaments in which you compete in to eventually go to the state level. I signed up for this in September and by the time it reached February I did not care about it but since I paid to enter I figured I’d take the test. The thing is, no matter what time we finished, we had to stay in the room until everyone else completed. Story: WITHIN 20 minutes I finished the test, I knew some things but anything I didn’t I just guessed. I was the first one done and pulled up the game on my computer immediately. Seeing prime rashford was beautiful. I’ve never seen man united play as good as they did here, I loved every second of it. My computer ended dying before rashford goal and I hid my phone trying to watch the rest of the game. I missed rashfords goal on stream delay but I miss this man united. This el was supposed to be ours 🥺
