jan vertonghen is class If there is a game of football on I am watching it regardless of my commitments
Arsenal3 - 0Man City

#BringBackPep

Arsenal
Sheffield Utd0 - 0Birmingham

Watched from about 20'-70' in a restaurant. God that was Bleak.
Tottenham3 - 01899 Hoffenheim

Great performance all round. Tel has looked untouchable in pre season while Robertson takes the cake for me when it comes to performances for newcomers. Big mistake letting Mikey out on loan (if the deal goes through), continuing his performances from last season, albeit not winning the league with Rangers. He is my MOTM because I can't do it.
Wolves2 - 2Blackburn

Really shocked by Blackburn. Heavily unlucky to concede in that manner and at that time. Felt Wolves played horrificly (although it's at their standards), solid start to the Championship season. EFL is sooooo back.

Blackburn
Philadelphia Union0 - 2Santos Laguna

Fairly straightforward, nothing of note especially considering it was a pointless fixture.Thought Philly wouldve pulled off a better performance but overall the game could've been an email
Orlando City2 - 2Atletico San Luis

Meaningless pen shootout but despite losing a lead, it should go really well for Orlando's morale going into a big playoff push

Orlando City
Inter Miami2 - 3Leon

Delighted for Leon and absolutely astounded at Miami. Personally by far and away my favourites for the competition and yet have gone out with a limp. Really surprised about Messi's substitution in the second half too.

Leon
PSG2 - 1Aston Villa

If there is one thing people will learn from this match, it is that Madjo is an absolute brute of a player and will go right to the very top. A lot of great performances from Villa's side although on face-value, the gap in talent was just too much to handle. A performance that they can very well look back on proudly.

PSG
Saburtalo2 - 1Larne

As much as it would've been nice to see an Irish team guarantee a League spot in the Europa/Conference League, the story of Iberia is unreal. A club formed just 26 years ago, now has a place amongst Europe's elite.
Plymouth2 - 0Exeter City

HARVEY WHITE G/A AND PIEFACE LIMBS.

Plymouth
Cruz Azul2 - 1New York City

ON MY SEVENTH ATTEMPT I HAVE FINALLY SEEN A LIGA MX TEAM WIN. TODAY I FEEL MEXICAN

New York City
Philadelphia Union3 - 1Necaxa

Calm little Necaxa first half humiliation ritual and how on earth does a 5"5 16 year old score from a cross.

Philadelphia Union
Tottenham1 - 1Getafe

Double edged sword. If we play a full 90 we win that game, however if we play a full 90 we have to witness 20 minutes more of that dross.
Cambridge United2 - 1Barnet

Not a good game, there was a 10 minute back and forth playing span but that was the sole enjoyable part. Cambridge were lucky to slide through a good few dangerous chances for Barnet but none of them were good enough when push came to shove.

Cambridge United
Columbus Crew2 - 1Pachuca

Great game all round, questionable refereeing but a solid tactical battle. An all hands on deck low block from Columbus while Pachuca were firing with a hit and hope philosophy. Fabulous goal from Brais Mendez who somehow makes it the second overhead I've seen tonight. The dream looks all but over for Pachuca as they're only hope is beating a Charlotte side who have a squeaky clean defensive record in their two games and even at that, they would be reliant on other results.

Columbus Crew
Charlotte2 - 0Atlas

No Mexican team has won in a Leagues Cup game I've watched. Not even on pens 💔

Charlotte
Middlesbrough1 - 0Wrexham

WILL LANKSHEAR SCORED! SHIT GAME BUT MY BOY HAS SCORED

Middlesbrough
Wolves3 - 0Port Vale

Thanks for coming Port Vale but it just wasn't enough. Definitely seen worse performances and tbf with a more favourable draw they might've seen some light at the end of the tunnel. Bleak second half with a rampant Wolves performance in the first proving enough, poor penalty from Vale ruled out the opportunity of a consolation goal but the save will do the world of good for Bentley

Port Vale
New York City2 - 0Santos Laguna

Dry game, highlight of the match was that I got a month trial of Apple TV

New York City
Bristol City0 - 1Walsall

Shit game, great upset, but a shit game nonetheless.

Walsall
Jagiellonia2 - 1Rangers

Derek McInnes and Shankland inside agents from Hearts

Jagiellonia
Inter Miami4 - 2Atletico San Luis

Would've been higher rated but the delay sucked the soul out of the game, great performances from Allen and Leo primarily. San Luis really looked fruitful towards the start of the game but dried out incredibly fast, allowing Miami to sprint to the finish line within the first half, Inter Miami setting the pace and they are certainly the team to beat.

Inter Miami
Arsenal1 - 3Betis

Arsenal loss is an Arsenal loss. Good day 👍

Real Betis
Aarhus2 - 1Sabah FA

Big result for Aarhus, big performance from Sabah. If they can continue that into the home leg, Aarhus' chances are slim. Could've been an elite comeback from the Azerbaijan side although it was not to be... yet.

Aarhus
Cincinnati3 - 1Pachuca

Commentator really said "Evander is one of the best strikers of the ball in this tournament" in a tournament with Messi, Son and Griezy

Cincinnati
Burkina Faso WvsSouth Africa W

As much as I can admit that my knowledge on women's football is slim to none, for a side that has gotten in at least the semis for three tournaments running, South Africa are looking very shaky and I see them going out to Morocco on Saturday

Sparta Praha2 - 1Lyon

Scoreline's an unfair reflection on the Sparta performance, Lyon just were not up to it, all bark no bite but a home return leg leaves some hope for them

Sparta Praha
Mjallby AIF1 - 2Slovan Bratislava

Great comeback, although it doesn't warrant it getting a boost in rating
BG Pathum United1 - 3Aston Villa

Ryan Edwards:

Aston Villa
Celtic1 - 0Dundee

Solid win, not a mountain of positives but at least one team from Glasgow has remembered how to win

Celtic
Liverpool2 - 4Leeds

An absolute travesty of a second half for Liverpool, especially embarrassing against a fellow Prem outfit in Leeds. Not all sunshines and rainbows for Leeds however as they will be worried sick over the state of Gudmundsson.

Leeds
Hibernian1 - 2Motherwell

Not many positives coming out of this but Maswanhise's Silence of the Lambs impression was spot on

ST Johnstone4 - 3Kilmarnock

Aaaand breathe. After coming out the gates slow and steady in the first half, Killie came out remorseless in the second half and apparently the St Johnstone keeper was too, willing to put his captain's face on the line to attempt to save it (it didn't) everytime you turned around in this classic something else was happening, whether it was a dagger within two minutes of the second half or a late revival comeback from the promoted side. Game of the season might be wrapped up within the first gameweek of SPFL Prem, ABSOLUTE CINEMA.

Girona1 - 4Arsenal

Could've used those 90 minutes doing anything else
Aberdeen2 - 1Heart Of Midlothian

WHAT A START. WHAT A COMEBACK. RANGERS AND HEARTS DOWN ONE TO GO FOR THE PERFECT OPENING WEEKEND, ON TO YOU MO'N. is there any way that Celtic can lift the 26/27 title on 25/26 Flag Day?

Aberdeen
Falkirk0 - 2ST Mirren

Falkirk really let this one slip away, what could've been one of the easiest points of their season has now suddenly left them back-tracking. They had quite a sizable advantage in possession but the end product was very poor. A valuable 3 points from St Mirren and Killian Phillips is the main man to praise.

ST Mirren
Chelsea1 - 2Tottenham

CHAMPIONS OF SYDNEY SUPER CUP YOU'LL NEVER SING THATTTT

Tottenham
Dundee Utd1 - 1Rangers

Terrible game, satisfactory result. Great to see Sevco drop some more points on opening day, as per. Pandur will be losing sleep over that horrific slip-up for the Rose goal, after the goal it was clear that Dundee United were eager to hold on rather than push to extend just as expected, even after Aasgard's goal. Not a fantastic start to life for McIness but hey, he matched Russell Martin's GW1 result and he ended up- Oh nevermind.

Dundee Utd
MLS All-Stars4 - 3Liga MX All-Stars

I watched Salomon Rondon score in the big 26 ✌️

Tottenham1 - 1Sydney

Felt like a more dominating focused match than to go out there and rip them apart. Really strong performances from Mathys and Luca, impressed by Robbo too.
