I am still worried a bit about our defense but our attack is looking potent even Pedro Neto looked decent under Alonso. I’m foolishly hopeful man.

Convincing attacking performance from Barca. They have loved scoring 5 recently, which continued in style today. Raphinha and Yamal were absolutely balling, Adeyemi looked more confident, Rodri was dominating that midfield. Really, the only questions I were presenting was the defensive work, Feyenoord really opened them up at times, which better teams will take advantage of. Nonetheless, they were without Eric Garcia in the backline who has been tremendous and is an important figure for their defensive shape. Feyenoord were just outmatched, they didn't back down as they had a lot of chances, but they will be disappointed with the way they were so easily dismantled defensively. To their defense, it is extremely hard to mark out Barcelona's quality, but they would've been hoping for a much less damaging scoreline. Very poor wall for Yamal's free kick too, you should never turn out the way of the ball, rookie error. Yamal MOTM for dictating a lot of the play, including a goal and 2 assists.

First half was incredible, second half was alright but definitely not as great. Demirovic scored a great hattrick, one of the fastest hattricks in the UCL as well. Undav also incredible. Viking played pretty decently, but unfortunately Stuttgart was a step too high for them. But perhaps they can make something happen eventually.

Great game, Chelsea's attack looks absolutely lethal, but it's the complete opposite at the other end of the pitch. Still leaking goals even with a new GK, in Emi Martinez. I think Xabi Alonso still had has a lot of work to do in defence if Chelsea want to be title challengers, he's got it nailed on in attack though with that front 3 of Palmer, Pedro and Rogers. I hope Rogers does well at Chelsea, 2/2 good games so far for him. The thing I warn Chelsea fans about is he's very much a purple patch player. At Villa he didn't turn up often when the going got tough, but he is absolutely a quality player when he has confidence and form. Hopefully he can change that and consistently turn up with a much better attacking line than he had at us. For Brighton, I think they'll be top of the mid table group this season. Not a good defensive performance whatsoever. They weren't that convincing defensively against Villa, it was only the fact that we had no striker that mainly cost us, otherwise we could've been 1 or 2 up in the first half. They are in a similar situation to Chelsea, great attack especially with Yalcouyé coming in, he looks sharp. But I just think the super attacking fullbacks and the slowness of Dunk x Vuskovic will cost them too many goals this season, mixed with European Balance, I don't see them getting in another European spot this season. However, I do believe they will win the Conference League, so that will get them Europa League nonetheless. MOTM is between Palmer or Rogers, went for Rogers as Palmer got it against Fulham. If we had Sanchez in goal we would have lost that match, Cole palmer is starting to get his 2024 form back, I am loving what I am seeing from Alonso ball from an attacking perspective. As for the defense we still look a bit shaky at the back.

Even though it looks like a convicning win, it was a lot closer match than it should've been. Disappointing/shaky 60 minutes but then Sonia made the right call with the substitutes and that elevated our game. Lots of things need to change if we want to book ourselves a spot in Warsaw. Incredible play from Ellie, Lauren and Melvine. My POTM is definitely between the three of them but I gotta go with LJ. Hoping to see this form throughout the whole season. We need to start strong and confident in the 2nd leg. It is good to be back though, UTC 💙
