This is your typical Arsenal performance right here. Just bringing your opponents to deep water and drowning them. They just suffocated Villa since they had no outlets outside of John McGinn. Tzolis halftime hook was unfortunate he was getting clamped by Marty Cash. Need to give some credit to Villa though they were very disciplined and the defense was very good since Arsenal didn’t really create anything. Really liked Suzuki too and some of his distributions were crazy.

Arsenal
Lecce0 - 4Roma

This one was over at halftime with Roma being dominant. I think them and Como are the only teams to challenge Inter. I like the look of Lulli on the right side. Malen is also on a crazy run right now.

Roma
Cagliari0 - 1Inter

Inter dominated the match but they were very wasteful and should’ve scored a few more. This allowed Cagliari to knock on the door a few times in the 2nd half. Cool to see Curtis Jones make his debut and get a few minutes.

Inter
Man United5 - 2Ipswich

First half Ipswich looked good but after that Nunez slip the game flipped on its head. United were dominant in the second half. Their midfield was much better in this game than against Hull.

Man United
Chelsea4 - 3Brighton

A little bit of a sloppy game here, but Chelsea were in control. Pedro Neto put in a great shift at wing back. This team is built around the front 3 who will feast all season.

Chelsea
Tottenham0 - 2Newcastle

Hall, Wissa, and Elanga were outstanding again. This Newcastle defense is very good and their counter attack is blistering. Spurs were ok in the first half, their midfield and defense were pretty good. They lack too much quality in the attack and that needs to be fixed.

Newcastle
Coventry0 - 1Hull City

I think I’ve seen enough to say that Coventry will go down this season. Yirenkyi will be a name to watch next summer though. Hull City have a very impressive back 5 and goalkeeper. They don’t have much of a counterattack threat which worries me though. They just go for set pieces and are a true haram team but hey it may just work.
Liverpool2 - 2Nott'm Forest

Terrible performance for the first 70 minutes. Iraola got the starting lineup terribly wrong. Szoboszlai can not see the midfield for this team, he needs to be playing right back. Munoz was bad on the left but was good on the right. He also looked good on the right against Newcastle. I think it should be Barcola and Rio on the left with Munoz and a new signing on the right. I’m not sure if kerkez will work at LB, I think we need a more defensive one. Same with Frimpong, but Szobo and Araujo should be playing RB. Gravenberch is probably our best playing if not top 3 and it is clear how the game changed when he came on. Blasphemous that he didn’t start in the midfield. Nyoni looks good too but he got bullied a few times. Overall I’m worried for this season and the future as long as Szobo is still getting minutes in the pivot. I also think and inverted CB/Fullback hybrid is the meta for those fullback positions in the modern game.
Crystal Palace1 - 4Man City

A little better from City here. Foden can’t be playing out wide but outside of that everyone was pretty good. Some crazy goals from Haaland and Cherki. Starting to think Cherki is the heartbeat of this attack. Anderson in the first half was everywhere per usual.

Man City
Barcelona2 - 0Athletic Club

This could’ve ended at least 5-0 to Barca, but Unai Simon turned into prime De Gea. Raphinha has been sensational in the false 9 role to start the season. Would’ve been my MOTM but he got taken out too early. Pedri and Fermin showing levels and Yamal with a great performance in the 2nd half. I think he’ll get his goal next game. Also very cool to see Rodri in a Barca kit. So happy he joined them instead of Madrid.

Athletic Club
Fulham2 - 3Chelsea

Cole Palmer what a performance. The whole front three was so cohesive and was a joy to watch. James and Lavia did a job in the center of the pitch and the defense was good too. Really curious to see how this Xabi system evolves and how Chelsea close the market. Fulham put up a good fight and King was the standout for them.

Chelsea
Elche0 - 5Barcelona

Didn’t like the Barca performance in the first half, but Pedri came on and they started dominating the match. All in all pretty impressive because Barca didn’t play most of their big players. I’m a little worried for Lamine since he looks tired. Maybe he’s still dealing with an injury idk.

Barcelona
Newcastle2 - 2Liverpool

Gravenberch and Gakpo were very good. Everyone else was ok and had moments. I thought the team overall was good but very clear we need to improve on the right wing. Kerkez and Frimpong were bombing up and down the flanks but the crosses were terrible and even nonexistant. Wirtz might get hate for this match but he was quite good and Liverpool can’t create anything when he’s off the pitch. I also have my doubts about Szobo in this pivot because he has no creativity and isn’t willing to stay back when Grav goes up. Newcastle is also a terrible matchup for us because they have a blistering counter attack. Wissa was my MOTM and elanga was giving massive problems to kerkez. Lewis Hall was also fantastic. Unfortunate that he lost focus for a moment and gave up the pen. This Newcastle team will be very hard to beat once that central midfield improves.

Newcastle
Man City2 - 1Bournemouth

Not a great performance from City, just looks undercooked. They need desperate help in the CM and winger positions. Anderson was everywhere but gassed out early bc he had to cover the ground that Guehi and Lewis couldn’t. Nunes is miles above Lewis and needs to start over him. Bournemouth were ok all around. They defended a few of those corners terribly though. Overall kind of a boring game.
Espanyol1 - 2Real Madrid

The special one returns. Bellingham and Guler were standouts. I don’t understand why Bernardo is getting big minutes in this team. Vini was also pretty disappointing.

Real Madrid
Brentford3 - 0Tottenham

Brentford total football domination and humiliation of Spurs. Sangare wow.

Brentford
Ipswich2 - 1Sunderland

Phenomenal performance from that Ipswich front four of Emersonn/Enciso/Fatawu/Maeda. Thought the midfield and defense held their own too. Fun scenes from the game winner in the 90th minute. Angulo with a ridiculous free kick, one of the best I've seen.

Ipswich
Hull City2 - 0Man United

LOL United. That Bruno/Tielemens/Santos midfield just didn't work together. Didn't see a standout from Hull just a passionate team performance with everyone contributing.
Arsenal3 - 0Coventry

Total domination from Arsenal top to bottom. Tzolis/Odegaard/Calafiori could’ve been MOTM. Thought everyone was brilliant except for Gabriel who made some mistakes.
