A match full of very physical duels, with Arsenal managing to 'Gun' the Black Cats down in the end. Sunderland had huge chances throughout the game, including an Enzo Le Fee penalty, which was heroicly saved by the Spanish wall that is David Raya, proving again why he is one of the best goalkeepers in the world. Dan Ballard had an excellent game I thought, winning duels and the penalty, also a spectacular goal line clearance with a diving header. At the other end, they couldn't find a way past the immaculate Arsenal defence. A Bruno Guimaraes screamer stunned the Mackems, rubbing salt in the wounds with his Newcastle ties. Late in the game, Sunderland also conceded a penalty, resulting in a second yellow for Reinildo. Bukayo Saka managing to find fortune and convert for his 3rd of the season. I don't think Sunderland were bad, but the amazing work of Arsenal's defence ultimately halted any chance of a result. Arsenal looking extremely solid again, you're wondering who will be the team to stop them, because they are on a steamroll of results. It's now 10 goals scored and 1 goal conceded in all competitions, extremely impressive. Signing Bruno Guimaraes has brought quality to the team depth and he helped Arsenal win this game with an unreal finish. I've mentioned this team getting better, which they are proving every single game. Got to give a lot of credit to Mikel Arteta, I'm far from his biggest fan, but he has done a great job in the past year. MOTM David Raya, without his presence and penalty save it might've been a different result for Arsenal.

Very entertaining game I must say as if I wasn’t ready to puke my heart out from the first minute but anyway tzolis man what a player, I don’t have words he’s just a joy to watch it’s unlucky he keeps getting yellows for nothing (just ruining my fpl for nothing). Raya I felt so safe. I love how composed he always is he’s just that guy. As for ODEVERTZ DOG WALKING THEM. MY BRAND.

Liverpool were much better than the last 2 games, they actually took control of the game by the scruff of the neck. And when they were threatened, they were absolutely terrific in defence, all the basics and more were executed very well. I thought they could've had a lot more if they were on peak form. Isak finally bagging some goals, I don't think it's fully his fault that he wasn't performing in the first place. A nasty, untimely injury ruining all his momentum when he originally came in. Gakpo will be wondering why Liverpool were even considering selling him in the first place. Last week I mentioned he could've been sold, which was true, but I also said he has been far from the level Liverpool expect. However, if he keeps on putting in performances like this, he surely cements his spot in the team. Ipswich tried but it wasn't enough. A theme that I believe will continue to haunt them all season. Enciso and Palacios looked tidy, but everyone else just isn't a Premier League standard player I believe. You can still stay up with low quality standards, if you have a good manager. But I don't think they have that in Gary O'Neil. I don't see him staying for the whole season, if so, it will be interesting to see who they turn to if they do eventually sack him. Perhaps Kieran McKenna? MOTM is Gakpo, although Isak scored a brace, he was involved in many good things for Liverpool tonight. Great assist for the first too!

Was that the performance Alan Knight deserved? Was that the performance Beau Croucher deserved? You've truly upset me today. I don't care that we lost, but we did not fight for that whatsoever and that is unacceptable. I can't wait to see half of you leave after today and become the nobodies that you truly are. Portsmouth has given you everything, you are nothing. Today was more than football because Knightie was more than football. The amount of families that man helped and people coming out to speak about how he personally reached out to them after they struggled with addiction or fell on hard times and constantly checked up on them for years and years was so, so moving. The man dedicated his life to Portsmouth, both after his career with what I've previously mentioned as well as the 801 appearances he made for us from the bottom to the top of the English football pyramid over 2 decades. Some pathetic "performance" you lot put in to honour his and Beau's names today. What were you thinking of during the minutes applause before the match? I'll tell you what I was thinking of. I was stupidly thinking of how you would turn up today and properly be up for it to honour two of Portsmouth's sons. I am appalled today. And I am so upset that I don't even have the capability to be mad today. Some of you did try, that should be acknowledged; but you win as a team and you lose as a team. Today you lost as a team, pathetically and with a whimper. You settled for second best and didn't push yourselves. You are lucky enough to have been given the second chance of another home game next on Saturday, honour Alan and Beau properly this time. Alan Ball once said "This is Portsmouth, people went to war from this city". The oldest thing this city knows is how to fight back and defend our honour. That is the bare minimum responsiblity you have as representatives of Portsmouth. You failed at that today. Do better on Saturday.

Want to start with saying RIP to legend Jimmy Rimmer and condolences to his family. HEITS 💜💙🕊 I thought we were a lot better, Suzuki looks class for our system, his pinged passes were very satisfying to see. Cash actually had a good game too. I thought Tzolis was quite lucky to stay on the pitch, if the he wasn't already booked the referee would've given him a yellow for that 2nd drag back. Jackson looked sharp but we didn't offer him a lot. McGinn and Torres were quite off it again, lots of silly passes and slow reaction time. Bringing Tammy on for Jackson was very head-scratching, I don't really know how Abraham fits in our team as much as I love him. The thing Unai needs to drill into Jackson is work rate, that's what Watkins did best. Even when having a bad game he'd be non-stop running his socks off. That's the main thing we missed today intensity. Hemmings is very raw, he got a few things wrong today, however he has time to learn, I do like the look of him. Wan-Bissaka's cameo was very promising, every tackle was amazing. I can see why he's seen as one of the best ball tacklers in the world and hopefully he can give Cash a run for his money. (pardon the pun) Referee and officials were shocking, I've mentioned the Tzolis moment, but that penalty decision absolutely shocking. Everyone in the stadium could see it was not in the penalty area, they just guessed and gave a penalty. That's what VAR is there for though. I thought he gave so many soft fouls for both teams too, and didn't give many obvious fouls. Arsenal were way off it, I think if we had a sharper attack we would've definitely scored. But that's what league winners do, win the ugly games. I do think they will retain once again, not many teams can play below par and win like that. Well done to my Arsenal friends, however I hope we return the favour with a win at the Emirates later in the season. Promising signs - still Mbaye, Harwood-Bellis, Madjo and Manzambi to come in. Up The Villa!

Arsenal big up another resounding win, but by god did Aston Villa take the fight to them. A very defensively minded game where both teams guarded well, it took a very scrappy goal from Saka to get the job done. This looked closer to the Arsenal of last season, which disappoints me as a neutral after the fun football they played against Man City and Coventry. They have a mouth-watering game against Chelsea next, and I look forward to seeing the league’s best defence against the best attack. Villa lose again, but they looked much better than in their humiliating thumping to Brighton last week. Their next match is against new boys and over-achievers Hull, and I think the Tigers are priming themselves ready to commit another mauling if the Claret and Blues aren’t ready.

1.5 stars ONLY because i see unai emery unhappy. another painful watch but 3 points on the board from villa away is a positive. tzolis was getting absolutely clamped on the wings (saka too to an extent) which is worrying considering that it’s either him or eze on lw. speaking of eze i really did like his cameo there today but i hope that’s not an excuse for not signing at least another natural lw. yet again a team has failed to make me afraid of jackson and garnacho which is funny so it wasn’t fully a loss, plus today has made me more confident in our rotation in defence and midfield even if our attack is still poor. also as promised yesterday my jurrien timber drawing on notes app (get well soon goat 💔)

The world cup final is over. This tournament has been incredible, and this community has made it far more enjoyable. Thank you to everyone who has played a part in this incredible community. I have loved posting my penguin GIF throughout the tournament. Thank you for making posting a short clip of a penguin kicking a ball infront of a second tier spanish side's badge special. I was born in Sutton on October 7th, 2006. Just under two years later my brother was born, and a year after that we moved to South-West London, where I have lived ever since. I may not be a Castellon fan, but I am an Arsenal fan, like my brother and my parents. We sit and watch all of the matches together, unless we're at the Emirates. I was introduced to Bookd by my brother. I saw him talking on this app and it looked intriguing, so I asked him what the app was, and I downloaded it. Thank you, @elz , for introducing me to Bookd. I found the penguin GIF simply by typing "football" into the GIFs tab. I am unable to recreate this. Perhaps it was fate that I found that GIF. I am 19 years old, and entering the second year of my Games Design university course at my University in central london. I have always had a passion for games. I hope to one day unite my passions for game creation and for football. If anyone wishes to check out my work, play my newest, and by far my best game, Leviathan, at https://spitefulcurb43.itch.io/leviathan . I will continue posting my penguin GIF throughout matches, but expect me to speak actual words from time to time in the Bookd chat. This community is excellent, and recently I have been wondering what will happen after this tournament ends. I have decided we need a Discord server. Everyone is welcome to join. Here is the link: https://discord.gg/Y9Yf7NHBe Once again, thank you to Bookd's developers, community, and most of all, thank you to the gimmicks. I will be able to answer any questions you may have in the replies. And now, for the last time this WC:
