i said i’d be happy regardless of who won, but damn if it didn’t hurt to messi cry. today was bittersweet farewell to the greatest to ever do it, and a passing of the torch to the younger generation, who were definitely the better players on the field today. watching this world cup with y’all was an amazing ride and i hope we’re still here in four years <3 thank you all for making this tournament an even more memorable experience. love you all

Argentina3 - 2Cape Verde Islands
first of all, WHAT A PERFORMANCE BY CAPE VERDE and what a world cup debut. they faced favorites like spain and argentina, solid teams like uruguay and saudi arabia, and NEVER backed down. they should be proud of how far they got. i look forward to their next world cup appearance 🇨🇻 and vozinha: do not go gentle into that good night, old age should burn and rave at close of day; rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Portugal2 - 1Croatia

this match felt like it went on for 180 minutes. bosnia had zero attack, even when america was down one man. expected more from them but oh well. congrats america 🇺🇸
