We are the first team this season to make Varaždin lose points on their home ground 🔥 however, it was a shaky performance from us on all fronts. Luckily Kumar saved us so many times. Hoping for a miracle signing before the deadline hits on Monday because god we need it. Next up: Rudeš (and hopefully 3 points in the bag). On a brighter note, today I went visit exhibition of 100 years of football in Žminj, my grandparent's hometown. I had no idea NK Žminj had such a rich history and I loved learning about it. Fun fact: it all started with my great-grandpa's friend who was actually the first person to bring a football into the area by stealing it from Italy and piercing it so it could fit under his shirt in order to bypass the patrol on the border. Here are some pictures from it! On the last picture: fourth person in the top row, from the left, is my grandpa, he was one of the biggest football fanatics in the 60s 💚

First half Burnley were absolutely atrocious and Boro were solid, lovely strike from Morris to open the scoring. Roles were reversed in the second half, as soon as Burnley scored from a wonder strike by Raghouber they were filled with confidence finally, which Boro struggled to deal with. I don't really think Malanda works in midfield for them as solid as he is. I thought it was a fair result in the end, tale of two different halves balanced things out. Really believe both of these teams will be near the top end of the table by the end of the season. I'll give MOTM to Raghouber for his determination and good goal to get Burnley a point. Unfortunately he's not listed on the squad list 😭

not to be biased or anything, but this was the match to watch tonight. proper championship football. both teams desperate for all 3 points and you had no idea which way it was going bolton were unlucky not to get anything. they look like a solid team. based on those 90 minutes, i don’t think they’ll be in danger of going straight back down as long as they build on their defence, which was ultimately their downfall in this case given all of the noise outside of the club over the last few weeks, i think we played brilliantly. conceding after 25 seconds was ridiculous, but the way we fought back immediately after both goals was admirable hard to choose between cooper and donovan for POTM so just pretend they’re both there… onto saturday, first game of the season i’ll be attending! please don’t embarrass me bladesmen 🙏

For 80 minutes this game was a snooze fest but the last like 15 minutes was incredible. Pachuca GK, Carlos Moreno, saves a penalty in the 82 minute and from there each team was trying to win it. Then a 90+1 minute winner from Bautista 🤩. Pachuca was already eliminated so this game wasn’t as important as it was for Charlotte who would’ve secured a spot to the next round if they had won.

Tuned in for the second half and that was one of the worst halves of football ive ever seen. 5 mins max of open play, constant fouls, throw ins, corners, goal kicks which all took ages. Then it ends with a goal from a corner and i dont even know how to explain that 2-0, everything about it was absolutely dreadful. Sutherland with a stunning debut, having been at the club for like 12 hours he already got himself a red card after 22 minutes of playing. Leaving man of the match blank because genuinely no one deserves it.

Wish we showed better quality but considering our best and key players left the club and we brought only 1 proper reinforcement this was an expected result. This season will be very difficult and relying mostly on academy players will not be good in the long run but oh well fuck it we ball. Also we are somehow unbeaten in all the friendlies we played this preseason???? This has never happened before lmao FORZA ISTRA I GUESS!!!💚💛
