Lamine with a brace and 1 assist 🔥 The uninitiated: He doesn't do anything uno 😭

Vamossss Junior 6 points in 2 games and we've reached 15th place. Step by step.

Mexico1 - 1ColombiaNot the best game but it was decent for both sides. Mexico risked more in both halves and Colombia after getting 1 goal basically gave Mexico the ball to do as they pleased. Colombia then tried to win the game but the changes Néstor Lorenzo made weren't enough to force a 2nd goal. Props to Mora for a wonderful goal and Lucumi you never slide when marking a player who can dribble lmao. A draw is a draw, but Nestor Lorenzo needs to change Colombia's mindset after scoring the 1st goal and that's to keep attacking and not ease off the gas pedal because that's Colombia's biggest weakness.

Sevilla1 - 3BarcelonaMan of the Match Raphinha 🔥 🔥 🔥 Lamine Yamal and Raphinha have now generated 31 G/A in 8 games so far. - 17 G/A for Raphinha. 🇧🇷 - 14 G/A for Lamine. 🇪🇸 Sevilla played like they were gonna pull that upset from last season. Not today and again, a very valuable 3 points away. Gordon I'm still waiting for your goal, hopefully soon. 🙏🏻

Raphinha is the GOAT 🔥🔥🔥
Barcelona
Levante2 - 4BarcelonaCouldn't catch the game live, but I caught a replay of the match. First things first, Raphinha getting a touch off the ball to accommodate Espart for the 1st goal is Chef's kiss, whether it was intentional or not really doesn't matter because Raphinha did look to have lost possession, regardless, that was a beautiful setup. 2. Raphinha forcing the keeper to come out of his box and defend the incoming threat of a goal was genius. Then, Raphinha tricked the keeper by making a diagonal pass which Lamine finds to get the 2nd goal of the match is vintage Barça style football. Lamine and Raphinha's chemistry is just unmatched. Elite level duo who compliment each other with goals and assists. Raphinha 2 assists and Lamine with 2 goals. 3. I won't get into the penalty because I feel it wasn't a penalty, but other teams get soft calls like that so we take what we can get. 4. Karim Adeyemi just singlehandedly mocked that defense and said I'm him, Levante were on the verge of a comeback with all that momentum. When Adeyemi scored that crucial 4th goal, it essentially killed any chance of a draw or comeback for Levante. My Final Thoughts on this match: Levante away is no joke and getting the 3 points makes this much sweeter. Yeah it's stressful, but remember that there will be more games like this. Many teams will want to mess up our title push so getting these points early on will work in our favor when the season starts to reach its final stretch of games.

Lamine Yamal goal & 2 assists, Raphinha brace, Adeyemi goal, and Jesús goal Goated game and Barca again cooking. Visca Barça 💙❤️
Valencia0 - 5Barcelona5-0 Manito, What can i say. Fermin Lopez is my MOTM, he put up a goal and 2 assists. Raphinha is just too good 🔥 On to the next match: our UCL journey starts on Wednesday.
Junior3 - 3Jaguares
A liquidar la defensa porque nos van a pasar todos los equipos por delante. 1 punto más para rescatar el partido que estaban ganando al principio. Junior tiene que trabajar en el balón parado porque los equipos llegan fácilmente al arco de Silveira.

Lmaooooo 😂 I took a break from football only to come back, scrolled on twitter and my eyes couldn't believe it. 140 million for Diomande uno, El especial de Mbappe, and Champions League v Inter on Tuesday. My condolences. Alvaro Valles, you the man 🔥

- Barca 10+ goals in 2 games - Anthony Gordon 3 assists in 2 games and creates an own goal chance - Raphinha 5 goals in 3 games - Lamine Yamal 2 goal Brace It's only 3 games but life as a Barca fan is too good. #FreeJulian
Junior1 - 1Santa Fe
Again what a letdown... I have no words besides the defense is just complete cheeks. Can't even secure 3 points on the minimum 1 goal lead. I'd also like to point out, who subs in a player during an opponent's free kick chance??? My grandma could defend better than them. 😂 😔
JuniorBarcelona2 - 0Athletic Club
The game was slow at times but Barca dominated both halves. Gordon, Raphinha, Lamine, and Fermin have all had an impressive start. A beautiful goal from Raphinha in the 1st half. 2nd half Adeyemi, Olmo, Rodri, and Kounde come on to keep the pressure up. Fermin scored a second goal. Very exciting times to be a Barca fan and hopefully we land a CB soon 😭 #FreeJulian
America de Cali4 - 2JuniorHorrible game from Junior. It's one thing to hope for a decent win but Junior's defense can't even save themselves when the game requires them to do so. Junior got destroyed in the midfield and the defense was torn apart by 1 guy (Quiñones). Muriel scored a good goal early on in the 1st half but that was it. Junior got a second consolation goal later on in the late stretch of the game but there is no saving this team. I can hope for better days but Junior needs to sort out the defense and probably work to improve the attack and midfield.
America de CaliJunior1 - 1Once Caldas
A draw, not what I expected but a draw is a draw and the 1 point is better than none. Paiva is MOTM for me, he saved us tonight. Vamos mi Junior 🔴🔵

Elche0 - 5BarcelonaVamoooossss Manito 5-0 win Raphinha 2 goals 1 assist Fermin 2 goals. Anthony Gordon 2 assists. Adeyemi 1 goal. Hopefully Gavi's injury isn't long term and Lamine should probably only play 30 minutes to ease him back into the game, he was gassed when subbed off and he looked upset with himself, he will get back to it eventually. Pedri changed the game once he came on Barca is cooking early. Very excited for the season. #FreeJulian
Barcelona2 - 1Al Ahly
Good game from Barca. Lamine is still rusty but good thing we have Gordon, Hamza, and Adeyemi to carry the load. Raphinha again, the man who carries our attack and deserved captaincy. Hamza 4 goals in 4 games and moves just like Haaland, a joy to watch. Fariñas has been impressive in that midfield. Pesquer again with a good display. Bisiwu again his passing is so so good. On to the next match vs Elche.
Basel 18932 - 5BarcelonaThe kids are all right, I couldn't watch the game live because I had other commitments at the time, with that being said, Barca are back and looking very dangerous on the flanks. First off, I really liked what Gordon was doing in the 1st half and how good he is using his pace to get through balls into the box. Raphinha again every time he has the ball, he is the one beginning the attack and committing the other players to spam the box in case there is a chance to score, a facilitator and the most important player who is instrumental to our attack and it's 1 of the reasons he was solely missed in the final months of last season. Adeyemi displayed better movements and has impressed me the most, 1 goal and assist. Hamza 1 goal, Lamine 1 goal from a penalty kick and an assist to Bisiwu. Jesse Bisiwu getting 2 rapid fire goals in the 90th minute of the game is chef's kiss. Pesquer again had a brilliant display and looked comfortable on the left flank. Fermin looks rusty still and Bernal had a decent outing and hopefully he learns a lot from Rodri. Bisiwu is MOTM for me, mainly due in part because Basel were mounting a comeback when the game was still 2-3 and then lamine gets a cheeky steal which helps Bisiwu get his goals. Exciting times to be a Barcelona fan.

Same old. Same old.... Let the new season begin.
PSG
Junior0 - 1Millonarios
Horrible game from Junior who created very little chances and wasted good opportunities to score. Muriel wasted many chances. Millonarios on the other hand at times looked bad but kept their composure and displayed a compact defense. They went full haramball and got the goal in the 90+1 minute. Junior starts the new season with 1 draw and 3 defeats in 4 games. Very concerning.
Millonarios
Birmingham2 - 2BarcelonaHamza 2 goals, phenomenal displays from Tunkara, Diarra, and Xavi Espart. Roony with a shot and a missed penalty, he is still raw and needs regular minutes (loan preferably).

Deportes Tolima2 - 1JuniorTolima started out sloppy in the first 15 mins of the game and then proceeded to play a very effective counter attacking football. Tolima has very physical players which manage to disrupt Juniors midfield and defense at times. Hurtado had a stellar game with a goal and assist. Junior's 1st half was good for about 15 minutes before Tolima adjusted themselves and imposed their style of play on the sharks. Junior's defense is very concerning, allowing 2 goals from counter attacks and the defense allowing the Tolima players to get by with ease. The 2nd Tolima goal especially was a big mistake on Junior's part. Tolima starts the counter attack while Junior only focuses on the player with the ball, they forget to mark the Tolima player coming from behind asking for the ball and scores the 2nd goal. Very poor defending from junior. It's only the 1st game of the season but having won back to back titles and displaying a poor performance vs a Tolima who at times had shaky defense is disappointing. Credit to the Mexican keeper of Tolima who blocked 2 chances which could have put junior in front before Tolima got their goals later on. Junior v Tolima xG 0.90 - 1.31 - 60% possession 40% - 10 Total shots 15 - 4 shots on target 3 - 2 big chances 3 - 1 corner kicks 7 - 1 yellow cards 2

Spain1 - 0Argentina
Ferran Is the GOAT. What a goal too. Argentina had a few chances but failed to score. Messi just couldn't get the ball as often. Paredes Is a hot head and Enzo made a dumb mistake which cost the team. Spain dominated with a Rodri who could not be dispossessed and Pedri holding the ball worked wonders. Cubarsí again has an amazing final. Congrats to Spain and to all us Barca fans too. I'd like to end it by saying I had a lot of fun watching the games and writing reviews on Bookd during the world cup. I will switch my tune to Club football when it returns so I can document the upcoming season. Visca Barça!
SpainEngland1 - 2ArgentinaArgentina backs against the wall scored 2 goals in 7 minutes. What a game man. Gordon scored England's only goal. I will say that England after Argentina scored the equalizer had no plan B, C, or D. Tuchel once again messed up thinking you can beat Argentina with a 1 goal lead. To beat Argentina you need to score at least 4-5 goals and no amount of defending will win you a game especially In a semifinal when you let the opponent have the ball for the last 30 minutes of the game. A well deserved win for Argentina who never gave up. The referee messed up many times not punishing players on both sides with harsh fouling but also stopping play at random moments. Messi again in a final which could have been played back in March. Spain vs Argentina final an all Barca Final. May the best win.
Argentina
France0 - 2SpainThey said they weren't going to mark Lamine Yamal. - Rabiot got hooked 😭✌🏻 - Dembele the Ballon d'Or did what ? 😭✌🏻 - Olise got hooked - Mbappe stinker 😭✌🏻 - Doue fumbled & stinker 😭✌🏻 - Cherki on and couldn't do nothing - Deschamps starts Tchouameni who is not match fit and did what he normally does at Madrid pull stinkers 😭✌🏻 They were focused on what Yamal was doing that they forgot about Oyarzabal and Porro. Lamine had a decent game besides the offside goal and got the penalty call that put Oyarzabal on. Amazing display from Spain especially in the 2nd half after going 2 up, they bossed France who had some chances but fumbled. Saliba injury sucks, of course, you always want to play against a fully fit team. Dani Olmo, I gotta give him his flowers, he is having the most underrated world cup run like the 2024 Euros run. Spain National Team Olmo Is world class. Cucurella who displayed an impressive defensive effort played a huge role in today's win. Cubarsí who keeps getting unnoticed but is having an insane world cup run. Rodri bossed the midfield again even when he was marked by 3 or 4 French players. Congrats to Spain. Last thing I say, Lamine Yamal got the last laugh and was successful, he managed to rattle them.

Let's be honest here, if Belgium went through, France would be applying belt to ass, with that being said, Vamos España.
Spain
Switzerland0 - 0ColombiaBoring game, I was over it by the time the game got to the 30 minutes of extra time. Hopefully the Colombian FA phase out James and search for a new midfielder. The national team needs to take a long hard look at what they wanna do in 4 years and sort out the issues with the team.
Argentina3 - 2Egypt
The opps were ready to celebrate Messi's exit but now they're left holding their balls. Rahhhhhh what a game. Messi missed a penalty, almost scores a free kick that hits the post, scores a goal to tie the game and assists Cuti Romero to kick off the comeback. With that out of the way, Scaloni has to ask some serious questions. When will Nico Paz and Giuliano Simeone come on? It's not a good sign that Argentina has been sloppy for the past 3 games scraping wins that could have been won comfortably with the exception of Cape Verde who made it difficult for Argentina, Uruguay, and Spain. Austria performed well defensively but that was all Messi. Egypt who played like a vintage counter attacking team had Argentina by the neck until the 79th minute. I'm sure Scaloni will eventually make changes but, if he doesn't adapt soon it could cost them if they keep going deeper in the tournament. Regardless of how good Messi is, France, Spain, and England are teams with different ideas of play and can hurt Argentina easily if they continue to play without making some much needed changes to this squad. What a comeback and Congrats to Argentina on a well deserved win.
