SpainSheffield Utd2 - 0Charltoni have such fond memories of this match. my dad and i went over to my late grandma’s house to watch it because it was on BT sport (which we didn’t have at home). she put some pizzas in the oven then we had ice cream later. she wasn’t a massive football fan herself but looking back now i’m older, she just loved to see us happy and in her company. she would always check sheffield united’s results on teletext to see how we got on every week this experience combined with the match brought me so much joy and was followed by a trip to wembley in the semi final. we lost 5-3 though i wasn’t too disappointed because i got to witness my team score at wembley for the first time. i was suffering a lot personally as a teenager at that time but i was grateful to feel a rare moment of happiness thanks to sheffield united ❤️
