What the hell did I just watch ?

Barcelona
Barcelona5 - 2Rayo Vallecano

So glad I support Barcelona man.. I don’t know where to even start because the amount of positive things I saw in this match are uncountable if I am being completely honest. Every single player gave their 101% on the pitch and every player did it comfortably and perfectly. After this match I will only say that the only thing I didn’t like is the high line but this is Flick + the individual mistakes that costed us two goals first from Kounde who had a terrible game as usual and Espart on the corner which is normal as he is inexperienced at all. Anyway +3 🔵🔴

Barcelona
Real Madrid4 - 0Malaga

Another unsuccessful hate watch, anyway Madrid were dominant the whole game and never felt that Malaga could do anything so fair play to them . However, after the 3 goals the first half I expected the same in the second half but they didn’t take full advantage of Malaga’s weakness. Another Bellingham masterclass..

Real Madrid
Chelsea4 - 3Brighton

I did not expect to enjoy Chlesea playing icl, Chelsea started the match very sharp and fast that Brighton really suffered to do anything except for the goal Yalcouye scored. Second half was completely different, I had a feeling that Chelsea felt the game is done and started slowing things up, while Brighton reaction was the complete opposite and actually took advantage of it, and could’ve also turned things around if it wasn’t for Martinez’s saves. Finally Palmer scored the fourth and Brighton’s third goal was late ..

Chelsea
Liverpool2 - 2Nott'm Forest

Game started really well from Nottingham but couldn’t take the most out of it especially that Liverpool were really poor in the first half imo and there wasn’t really promising attacking threat. Second half started a bit similar but better, with Liverpool equalizing goal from Isak I really was impressed by Nottingham’s reaction and got the second goal from the spot after a mistake from Alisson . I also liked Liverpool’s reaction afterwards and how this constant pressure payed off and scored with a beautiful turn and finish from the La Masia graduate Victor Munoz. Iraola keeping him on the pitch and not substituting him was really clever and decision to put him on the right was perfect. Very Fair final result imo.. 👏

Nott'm Forest
Crystal Palace1 - 4Man City

Didn’t expect City’s Maresca to move like that icl, however I am leaning towards Palace being bad more than City being good especially without Glasner and some key players. Anyway City played a great match overall from stopping every Palace chance to create something to scoring as soon as the chance was given. Cherki so far has been the best player in City and the main difference maker with Haaland going back to one touch shot goals. One main thing I noticed is that Maresca’s ball is more direct instead of the negative possession during last Pep years, excited to see how they’ll develop under him and will we see another 2023 City or no .. GGs 👏

Man City
Barcelona2 - 0Athletic Club

2/2 ✅. A very good game from both teams honestly, first half we were very good on keeping the ball, direct build-up plays, and winning the ball back quickly but were missing the magic touch that PEDRI 🪄 gave is to take the lead with an excellent Rapha goal. Second half Barca’s performance slowed a bit but it was because of Athletic Bilbao defensive solidity which really made us suffer to find a goal, but with the blessing of the super subs we were able to to score the second goal and really close to score the third and fourth if it wasn’t for Unai Simon super saves . Fair play to Bilbao and Edin Terzic for this exceptional performance honestly, 👏.

Barcelona
Lyon1 - 2Fenerbahçe

Wow what a game ! I don’t think there was a moment in the match that was calm , each and every second of it was like something is about to happen. Teams with very different play styles provided us with this unexpected events .. OM were much more dominant with the ball but their reliance on Fofana was a bit too much , Fofana really tried to create chances from nothing and was very close to do but Fenerbace’s defense was too strong . (That’s why I have Archie Brown as my MOTM) Fenerbace on the other side knew how to stop almost every OM chance and really reduced the danger OM can create to a large extent. With players like Greenwood and Muriqi it was really hard to stop them from scoring especially that OM was overwhelmed with Fenerbace’s defense even though they were really close scoring the second goals but they were really unlucky..

Fenerbahçe
Real Madrid4 - 1Real Sociedad

A very weird game I’d say, yes there is a total of 5 goals in the match but overall I thought it was very calm. First half both Madrid and Sociedad’s build-up wasn’t the best so there was no really dangerous chances to take advantage of besides the chances of the goals scored. Second half started same to a certain extent but Sociedad’s physical ability was going down minute after minute and Madrid really took advantage of it. GGs ..

Real Madrid
Atletico Madrid2 - 2Villarreal

LATE REVIEW ! I might forgot some details bec it’s way after the game but ill try my best. It was a very quite game to a certain extent but enjoyable, Atleti really tried to create something from the middle but the Villarreal were really solid + their wingers weren’t any good today . Kang-In Lee trying to recreate the banger he scored previous match but failed so Pubill did it . With Villarreal , Inigo Perez’s touch was clear starting from the pressure to the build up. I really liked the variety in creating chances this game it was from every possible way. True two goals were from penalties but I’d argue if the players weren’t fouled they’ll score. #FreeJulian

Atletico Madrid
Elche0 - 5Barcelona

A great first half for us for two reasons, and two reasons only. First, the team's pressing was excellent, especially considering it was their first league match. Second, the team capitalized on half-chances and scored. It was strange to me that Elche dominated possession in the first half, but considering the midfield duo of Gavi and Bernal, it wasn't a surprise. The worst thing about the half was Gavi's injury. Even if his performance wasn't good, every player on the roster is needed, without exception. The second half was pure BARCA , the team started to take possession more and were very patient but not slow like the first half. Lamine wasn’t in his day clearly so when Gordon came in the whole team changed and everyone was active and effective. Really happy with the overall performance and Adeyemi & Gordon debut . VISCA EL BARCA 🔵🔴

Barcelona
Brighton4 - 0Aston Villa

What a game ! What happened in the American Express is insane, this by far the best Brighton game I’ve seen my whole life. Constant pressure and direct passes and incredible buid-up plays together with extreme power in the defense and midfield. What Brighton did to Villa is brutal. All of that happened and imagine of only Brighton scored the 3 easy chances too in the first half OMG. Brighton did enough so they entered the second half a bit relaxed which completely reasonable and were able to keep the game like they want. Fabian Hurzeler sends a strong message to the whole Premier League with that performance. GGs 👏

Brighton
Man City2 - 1Bournemouth

The ending was just incredible, City did what they do best . First we have to give Bournemouth their flowers for the good performance they’ve put. City in the first half weren’t patient at all and treated the ball like it was a bomb, when they finally relaxed they were able to get the possession and wait for their chance. Cherki coming in changed the whole match with his simple magic touch.

Man City
Espanyol1 - 2Real Madrid

Unsuccessful Hate Watch . The game started very good my Madrid and took advantage of it by scoring from a set piece and with that their rhythm started to slow and Espanyol surprisingly played well with the ball and held their ground and got a very well deserved equalizer. Second half started slower from Madrid and better from Espanyol , but with the minutes moving we can clearly see how Espanyol players started to get tired . With Mourinho taking starts off the pitch and getting starts in the pitch it was really hard for Manolo Gonzalez to match it , and even Espanyol substitutes weren’t as close as good as the starters. With all of this fatigue was main aspect that let Madrid score at the end after a mixed mistake by Dolan and the Gk . Madrid not looking too good tho , don’t let the W fool you 👀 ..

Real Madrid
Dortmund1 - 2Bayern

A very enjoyable and close match tbh, the match started really well from BVB and started putting pressure on Bayern and made them suffer trying to build up a play but minute after minute, things started going Bayern’s way . Bayern really started to get out of pressure using one touch passes with the change of positions between the players , and with BVB started to slow down and following that came Bayern’s first goal from Nathan Brown then a very Chalant goal from Olise .. However the second half started very similar to the first but with a slower Bayern but still BVB weren’t able to do enough until Kovac did his substitutions and things really changed. BVB started attacking a lot and leaving space behind , the goal got closer with many counterattacks that weren’t taken advantage of and Fabio Silva scored. Following that Bayern panicked a bit and did some mistakes but again BVB didn’t take advantage of which lead us to this final result. Shoutout to Tah tho for clearing a very clear goal at the end after intercepting Beyer’s shot . Congrats to Bayern 🔴🔴

Bayern
Nott'm Forest0 - 1Leeds

LATE REVIEW ! Seeing many people saying it was a horrible game gave me second thoughts and tried remembering what I saw, but personally I really enjoyed it . Nottingham really didn’t play bad, many chances were missed and many of them should’ve been dealt with better especially by players like Nico Williams and Igor Jesus . Leeds however, I really liked their patience and re-creating the box crashing Harry Wilson roles were really nice and scored from it but it was called offside. I personally feel these two teams will only get better each GW and wouldn’t be surprised at all if someone got into the top 6 this year

Leeds
Everton2 - 0Crystal Palace

LATE REVIEW !! Everton playing like this is the last thing I predicted honestly, I was impressed the attacking trio and mostly by Tyrique George which personally I think flew under the radar and Dewsbury-Hall behind them is the cherry on top. Will definitely be watching Everton more this season because I really enjoyed. Palace on the other hand really disappointed me icl, yes there were shots, tries, etc but I didn’t feel anything was really dangerous idk maybe it’s just me . GGs fair play to David Moyes and his boys.

Everton
Hull City2 - 0Man United

What a shocking result honestly and I think not even the most optimistic Hull City fan would’ve predicted this W with this performance so fair play to the tigers and most importantly the manager Sergej Jakirović. First half looked really like United were the team that just got promoted not Hull if I am being completely honest. Hull were more aggressive and active the whole first half and actually knew what they were doing , the complete opposite of United’s situation. Expect second half to be better from United but I was wrong, apparently the only thing that Carrick could think of is spamming crosses without clear destination. Hull on there other continued the defensive masterclass despite Ajayi and Mendy getting substituted. GGs and nothing but respect to the 🐯.

Hull City
Betis1 - 0Real Sociedad

A pretty enjoyable match despite the result if I am being honest, many many chances were missed by both teams. Real Betis were excellent in the first half starting from stopping attacks to counterattacking but the final touch was horrible especially by Antony and Cucho Hernandez and Fran Garcia that played a very solid game. Second half was completely different, Real Sociedad gained momentum and started playing like how they have to and how people expect Materazzo’s team to play, but their attackers really disappointed especially Oskaarson . The difference is that on the first half Betis were better and almost the only team on the pitch but when it came to the finishing they were horrible and on the second half Betis were more patient and stung in the right moment.

Betis
Arsenal3 - 0Coventry

First PL 26/27 game is here ! Solid game from the gunners and very well deserved W. Arsenal offensively are looking very good and the change in the build up before every attack is really impressive. Coventry aren’t looking very good icl, I don’t know what it is but non of their lines looked good not even for a bit especially Rushworth. Really loved Tzolis more this game ..

Arsenal
Atletico Madrid2 - 0Malaga

Great match from both teams honestly, Atleti started very despite the absence from many key players. Malaga in their first match back really did perform well defensively and were very solid, but too much pressure generates an explosion. After not being able to score with all that pressure from Atleti, they knew the solution would be trying from outside the box. Simeone substitutions were perfectly timed and gave him the W. However, Malaga only lost because the shots were unstoppable otherwise it could’ve been a fair draw imo.

Atletico Madrid
Barcelona2 - 1Al Ahly

Game started very well from us with the possession as usual but with better build up plays and faster passes in the final third. Players look good physically, but rhythm takes time. Second half was not as good, youth players entered the pitch and Al Ahly were able to take advantage of it. All in all, I see the team doing great and definitely ready to start the season.

Barcelona
Deportivo La Coruna1 - 1Elche

An okay game I guess , first half was really entertaining with Elche’s continuous goal scoring opportunities which Deportivo took advantage of and punished them for their missed chances. I won’t put all the blame on Elche’s in the first half because Leo Roman made incredible saves that’s why he is my MOTM. Second half also started strong but minute after minute the game started to slow because of the fatigue which is completely normal in the first game week . Deserved goal by Elche in the second half and a deserved draw in the end imo. Amatucci, Aubameyang, Marc Aguado played really well but for me Leo Roman stood out the most..

Deportivo La Coruna
Basel 18932 - 5Barcelona

Really nice match overall, the team was better in both halves but lacked pace and creativity in the first half. Second half went really well, the team started building up plays from different sides of the pitch and was able to shake Basel’s solid defense. What I am seeing from Xavi Espart, Hamza, Adeyemi so far is something exceptional. Xavi Espart has been performing really well recently in the RB position and continued to do it again today in midfield position (his original position). Hamza Abdelkarim is just a lethal striker and has been taking advantage of every minute he gets and scoring almost every chance, definitely can perform well in La Liga too. Adeyemi played on both sides and has been very good, cutting inside from the right and trying to create opportunities and then taking Raphina’s role and performing well too. His freshness and speed is looking good and can’t wait to see him in bigger games soon. MOTM Adeyemi imo.
Arsenal3 - 0Man City

Wow ! Arsenal is the most prepared and promising club so far from the matches I’ve seen . It’s clear that them winning the league boosted their confidence because what I am seeing from them is something special, no more haram ball, players understand their roles and arguably have been better performing them.. However this could all change once the season starts but already Tzolis, Odegaard and the team as a whole is looking very good and they’re keeping me optimistic to what they can do next season. GGs honestly.

Arsenal
Sevilla2 - 1Rayo Vallecano

Really unpredictable game honestly, Rayo started the game really sharp and strong and could’ve ended the game early but they didn’t. The second half, EUROPA LEAGUE SEVILLA woke up. Everything turned around for them and they were better, Luis Garcia’s substitutions were perfect and each of the of the players contributed to the remontada. I honestly thought Rayo could score the winner after the red card, but Sevilla and the big club mentality refused 👏

Sevilla
Alaves3 - 0Getafe

Tbh better match than I expected, it was going back and forth between the two teams but without anything serious, until the red card was given. Alaves had the possession and patience which was the key factor to get the 3 points, Quique Flores’s substitutions were perfect 👏

Alaves
PSG2 - 1Aston Villa

A historic first half from both teams, I never expected the pace to be like this, especially considering it was the first official match and the difference in the names between the two teams is massive, but clearly I was wrong. Aston Villa started brilliantly with possession and chances, but Madjo didn't take advantage of most chances he got. However, I really like the 17 year old, his physique is intimidating. If he works on his finishing, God help the Premier League. PSG clearly didn't expect Aston Villa to play like this. A beautifully balanced second half. Both teams threatened each other's goal, and surprisingly, Aston Villa came closest and were more dangerous, but Zair Emery's intervention and Safonov's saves denied the Villans a second goal. I thoroughly enjoyed the match. I'd truly forgotten how exciting European club matches are compared to international matches, and my expectations for an entertaining game were not disappointed. Congratulations to Enrique's team and hard luck to the Lions 👏. Both teams delivered a great match on all fronts, especially physically, and we all know how difficult that is at the start of the season. What impressed me most was Paris's desire to win despite winning all the titles in the last two years. HM Mcginn for the amazing performance, but can’t ignore the goal and assist from Doue.
Arsenal2 - 3Dortmund

Honestly, this has been the most enjoyable friendly match I've seen so far. In terms of performance, tactics, and readiness, it's more like a competitive, official match, without exaggeration. It's true that Arsenal was missing key players, and so was Dortmund, but the match was of a high standard in all aspects, and both teams were playing entertaining football. Dortmund excelled at building attacks and maintaining possession, while Arsenal threatened Dortmund's goal in every way possible, but lacked the final touch. The match continued with the same beauty and intensity as the first half. Arsenal were physically stronger in the second half and capitalized on this, trying to get back into the game, but they conceded a third goal due to a lapse in concentration. Dortmund, on the other hand, put on a great performance and put in a tremendous effort, especially in limiting Arsenal's attacking threat. Set pieces and center-backs Filippo Mané and Gadou played a major role in this. The best part of the match was seeing the brilliance of some players, such as karetsas and Inácio from Dortmund, and Tzolis, Downmann, and Nwaneri from Arsenal. Tzolis MOTM imo ⭐️🇬🇷
Udinese1 - 0Barcelona

In my opinion, the team was better in this half, or rather, this match. We had better possession and conceded fewer chances, but the possession was ineffective, and we lacked pace. This is understandable, as it was a friendly match and the rhythm needs more time to return. Let's not forget that Flick substituted his key players after just 15 minutes, and the team consisted mainly of young players, with the exception of Balde and Szczesny. His decision to play Tommy Marques as a center back instead of Christensen was strange, and the goal came from a mistake in his marking. However, let’s not forget it’s a friendly and we cab take only 10% of what we saw ..

Udinese
Barcelona1 - 0Nott'm Forest

A very good match in my opinion. The team struggled for the first fifteen minutes from Nottingham's counter-attacks, but Szczesny was there in the right moment. The team improved after 20 minutes, gained possession, and started building up plays , we hit the post too, but Nottingham's defense was also solid. Finally, thanks to a clever move by Fermin and a mistake by Nottingham’ defender Milinkovic, we won the penalty, and Rafa converted it. +3 Xavi Espart MOTM imo ⭐️

Barcelona
Birmingham2 - 2Barcelona

As a first friendly match against a tough opponent, mostly from the reserve team, it was a good game. In my opinion, the English team was only better physically, and Barcelona were better at everything else Good possession, vertical play, and the players' understanding was impressive, especially in escaping pressure. As usual, the team conceded two goals from crosses, a problem we've been struggling with for years across all age groups, so it's not surprising. I want to commend the players for the last fifteen minutes of the match. The pressure from everyone was fantastic, the ball recoveries were excellent, and the shots on goal could have ended the game, but their goalkeeper was outstanding. Personally, I'm satisfied with the youth team's performance, and I'm sure the next match will be much better. ❤️💙
Spain1 - 0Argentina

SPAIN CAMPEONES DE MUNDO ⭐️⭐️ A very one sided game shockingly, we all know how Spain can control the game in every aspect but I also expected Argentina to do something about it and respond back but they didn’t. Many miss pass mistakes from Argentina that hadn’t been dealt with correctly by Spain mostly because the lack of pace in Spain’s offense. However, the way Spaniards stood out the entire match was perfect, they took out the water and electricity from Argentina the whole match and they couldn’t do anything about it. Match was basically negative possession from Spain and negative pressure from Argentina. The recklessness from Argentina players got them a red in final and the mission became 10x harder for the holding champions. Spain missed many chances some with poor decisions and some with excellent saves from E.Martinez. At the same time we have to give the Tango’s backline their flowers, what a performance from them physically and mentally and they were able to stop many very good chances from Spain. But what they did not expect is the shark attack from FERRAN 🦈, what a deserving goal after ton of tries and ZERO from Argentina. What a deserved W for Spain and Barcelona players ❤️💙!!!!

Spain
France4 - 6England

Football is so kind to us that it gave us two finals one today and one will be tomorrow, OMG what a match. This match is the closest I’ve ever seen to the PSG 5-4 Bayern match. We literally saw two different matches in one, we saw vicious England in the first half and prime Saka, and in the second half we saw the France we were expecting to see the whole tournament and the remontada was on its way, but very little mistakes denied it. This game didn’t have any chill moments, it was fire after fire. The only bad thing this match is that Mbappe scored two goals and took away the top scorer award from Messi because of a game that doesn’t benefit anyone. Anyway, what a match to prepare us the Barcelona final , sorry I mean world cup 2026 final tomorrow.. 🇫🇷🏴
