An okay game I guess , first half was really entertaining with Elche’s continuous goal scoring opportunities which Deportivo took advantage of and punished them for their missed chances. I won’t put all the blame on Elche’s in the first half because Leo Roman made incredible saves that’s why he is my MOTM. Second half also started strong but minute after minute the game started to slow because of the fatigue which is completely normal in the first game week . Deserved goal by Elche in the second half and a deserved draw in the end imo. Amatucci, Aubameyang, Marc Aguado played really well but for me Leo Roman stood out the most..

Basel 18932 - 5BarcelonaReally nice match overall, the team was better in both halves but lacked pace and creativity in the first half. Second half went really well, the team started building up plays from different sides of the pitch and was able to shake Basel’s solid defense. What I am seeing from Xavi Espart, Hamza, Adeyemi so far is something exceptional. Xavi Espart has been performing really well recently in the RB position and continued to do it again today in midfield position (his original position). Hamza Abdelkarim is just a lethal striker and has been taking advantage of every minute he gets and scoring almost every chance, definitely can perform well in La Liga too. Adeyemi played on both sides and has been very good, cutting inside from the right and trying to create opportunities and then taking Raphina’s role and performing well too. His freshness and speed is looking good and can’t wait to see him in bigger games soon. MOTM Adeyemi imo.

Wow ! Arsenal is the most prepared and promising club so far from the matches I’ve seen . It’s clear that them winning the league boosted their confidence because what I am seeing from them is something special, no more haram ball, players understand their roles and arguably have been better performing them.. However this could all change once the season starts but already Tzolis, Odegaard and the team as a whole is looking very good and they’re keeping me optimistic to what they can do next season. GGs honestly.

Really unpredictable game honestly, Rayo started the game really sharp and strong and could’ve ended the game early but they didn’t. The second half, EUROPA LEAGUE SEVILLA woke up. Everything turned around for them and they were better, Luis Garcia’s substitutions were perfect and each of the of the players contributed to the remontada. I honestly thought Rayo could score the winner after the red card, but Sevilla and the big club mentality refused 👏

Tbh better match than I expected, it was going back and forth between the two teams but without anything serious, until the red card was given. Alaves had the possession and patience which was the key factor to get the 3 points, Quique Flores’s substitutions were perfect 👏

A historic first half from both teams, I never expected the pace to be like this, especially considering it was the first official match and the difference in the names between the two teams is massive, but clearly I was wrong. Aston Villa started brilliantly with possession and chances, but Madjo didn't take advantage of most chances he got. However, I really like the 17 year old, his physique is intimidating. If he works on his finishing, God help the Premier League. PSG clearly didn't expect Aston Villa to play like this. A beautifully balanced second half. Both teams threatened each other's goal, and surprisingly, Aston Villa came closest and were more dangerous, but Zair Emery's intervention and Safonov's saves denied the Villans a second goal. I thoroughly enjoyed the match. I'd truly forgotten how exciting European club matches are compared to international matches, and my expectations for an entertaining game were not disappointed. Congratulations to Enrique's team and hard luck to the Lions 👏. Both teams delivered a great match on all fronts, especially physically, and we all know how difficult that is at the start of the season. What impressed me most was Paris's desire to win despite winning all the titles in the last two years. HM Mcginn for the amazing performance, but can’t ignore the goal and assist from Doue.

Honestly, this has been the most enjoyable friendly match I've seen so far. In terms of performance, tactics, and readiness, it's more like a competitive, official match, without exaggeration. It's true that Arsenal was missing key players, and so was Dortmund, but the match was of a high standard in all aspects, and both teams were playing entertaining football. Dortmund excelled at building attacks and maintaining possession, while Arsenal threatened Dortmund's goal in every way possible, but lacked the final touch. The match continued with the same beauty and intensity as the first half. Arsenal were physically stronger in the second half and capitalized on this, trying to get back into the game, but they conceded a third goal due to a lapse in concentration. Dortmund, on the other hand, put on a great performance and put in a tremendous effort, especially in limiting Arsenal's attacking threat. Set pieces and center-backs Filippo Mané and Gadou played a major role in this. The best part of the match was seeing the brilliance of some players, such as karetsas and Inácio from Dortmund, and Tzolis, Downmann, and Nwaneri from Arsenal. Tzolis MOTM imo ⭐️🇬🇷
Udinese1 - 0BarcelonaIn my opinion, the team was better in this half, or rather, this match. We had better possession and conceded fewer chances, but the possession was ineffective, and we lacked pace. This is understandable, as it was a friendly match and the rhythm needs more time to return. Let's not forget that Flick substituted his key players after just 15 minutes, and the team consisted mainly of young players, with the exception of Balde and Szczesny. His decision to play Tommy Marques as a center back instead of Christensen was strange, and the goal came from a mistake in his marking. However, let’s not forget it’s a friendly and we cab take only 10% of what we saw ..

A very good match in my opinion. The team struggled for the first fifteen minutes from Nottingham's counter-attacks, but Szczesny was there in the right moment. The team improved after 20 minutes, gained possession, and started building up plays , we hit the post too, but Nottingham's defense was also solid. Finally, thanks to a clever move by Fermin and a mistake by Nottingham’ defender Milinkovic, we won the penalty, and Rafa converted it. +3 Xavi Espart MOTM imo ⭐️

Birmingham2 - 2BarcelonaAs a first friendly match against a tough opponent, mostly from the reserve team, it was a good game. In my opinion, the English team was only better physically, and Barcelona were better at everything else Good possession, vertical play, and the players' understanding was impressive, especially in escaping pressure. As usual, the team conceded two goals from crosses, a problem we've been struggling with for years across all age groups, so it's not surprising. I want to commend the players for the last fifteen minutes of the match. The pressure from everyone was fantastic, the ball recoveries were excellent, and the shots on goal could have ended the game, but their goalkeeper was outstanding. Personally, I'm satisfied with the youth team's performance, and I'm sure the next match will be much better. ❤️💙

SPAIN CAMPEONES DE MUNDO ⭐️⭐️ A very one sided game shockingly, we all know how Spain can control the game in every aspect but I also expected Argentina to do something about it and respond back but they didn’t. Many miss pass mistakes from Argentina that hadn’t been dealt with correctly by Spain mostly because the lack of pace in Spain’s offense. However, the way Spaniards stood out the entire match was perfect, they took out the water and electricity from Argentina the whole match and they couldn’t do anything about it. Match was basically negative possession from Spain and negative pressure from Argentina. The recklessness from Argentina players got them a red in final and the mission became 10x harder for the holding champions. Spain missed many chances some with poor decisions and some with excellent saves from E.Martinez. At the same time we have to give the Tango’s backline their flowers, what a performance from them physically and mentally and they were able to stop many very good chances from Spain. But what they did not expect is the shark attack from FERRAN 🦈, what a deserving goal after ton of tries and ZERO from Argentina. What a deserved W for Spain and Barcelona players ❤️💙!!!!

Football is so kind to us that it gave us two finals one today and one will be tomorrow, OMG what a match. This match is the closest I’ve ever seen to the PSG 5-4 Bayern match. We literally saw two different matches in one, we saw vicious England in the first half and prime Saka, and in the second half we saw the France we were expecting to see the whole tournament and the remontada was on its way, but very little mistakes denied it. This game didn’t have any chill moments, it was fire after fire. The only bad thing this match is that Mbappe scored two goals and took away the top scorer award from Messi because of a game that doesn’t benefit anyone. Anyway, what a match to prepare us the Barcelona final , sorry I mean world cup 2026 final tomorrow.. 🇫🇷🏴

Second half was much better and entertaining and the lions were able to strike, but then backing up just gave the Argentinians the spirit to comeback and oh man they DID ! First time Mac Alister hitting the post and Pickford making great saves so the solution came from Enzo with a banger! Then the same scenario happened and with an amazing assist Lautaro heads in the second goal !!! What a semifinal and the dream final for Barca fans and many football fans has happened !! What a game , what a final awaits us , what a goals , genuinely speechless.. 🇦🇷🏴
ArgentinaFrance0 - 2SpainVamooooos 🔥🔥 , the best Spain match I’ve seen maybe since the Euro 2024 . The first half was literally only Spain playing + attacking and defending was a choice for them that’s how tactically good they were. Second half was perfectly the same shockingly. De la Fuente studied France perfectly it made Deschamps look clueless. I definitely did expect Spain to be that good against France but that’s football. Really happy to see Lamine Yamal doing well and winning a penalty after his ig stories before the match and Olmo compensating his overall competition performances with a semifinal assist. Congratulations to Spain absolutely deserved W , the performance was really impressive and what’s more impressive is that Spain only conceded one goal 🤯 ، ggs .. 🇪🇸🇫🇷

Argentina started very well and scored really early and I thought this will give them the confidence to finally play like they’re supposed to. Man I was wrong, the way Argentina played is really surprising and backing up like this against Switzerland is really annoying. If Argentina lost this match, the only one that will take responsibility it Scaloni. Playing like that as the holding WC winner is really embarrassing honestly. Anyway like this, Argentina is really going to get embarrassed against England and it will be the end of their journey. 🇦🇷🇨🇭

Norway1 - 2EnglandGame started very strong from the English men and them scoring was just a matter of time and with almost the first attack Norway shocks England and score from a terrible cross that turned to be an amazing goal somehow. Afterwards, Gordon assists England’s main man this tournament Bellingham and finishes it like a striker. Second half was the complete opposite, Norway were much better and attacked the whole 45 mins almost, this was expected due to Rice’s substitution for injury unfortunately. Extra time is where the difference happened, England were much stronger physically and really took advantage of that by controlling the whole half without any problems from Norway. Things went slightly better for Norway in the second extra half but England were very smart dealing with the situation which is normal to them due to the teams and competitions they play in on a regular basis. Congratulations to the lions and better luck for the vikings, in their first competition since a very long time they can leave with their heads up, deserved W for England.. 🏴🇳🇴

What an ending again , Belgium held their ground amazingly and made Spain actually worried. As usual possession and were better and closer to the goal and actually scored from a rebound. Belgium from the first try scored after an amazing cross and a better header . For a while I thought actually Belgium could do it because they were unable to come closer to the goal so the available solution was shooting from outside of the box and Cubarsi did it , and as always Mikel Merino was in the right spot. A historic semi-final on the way .. 🇧🇪🇪🇸

First half started very good from the French team with constant pressure that Morocco couldn’t really handle except for one person, Yassine Bono. What a keeper man he saved two goals in just 5 minutes and continued and saved an Mbappe penalty and made two or three epic saves that kept Morocco in the match and gave them the confidence to start attacking and building up plays but the French team were there too to stop them. The second half is basically a copy of the first half but Bono couldn’t carry Morocco more than he did, shots entered were really hard to deal with. I really thought Mohamed Ouahabi will have a reaction and try to do something, but it was clear that he didn’t want to be risky against vital players, and he depended on a defensive tactic which we all know that isn’t Morocco’s strength. Changing a lot in the starting 11 in a QF isn’t the smartest thing to do and Morocco definitely payed the price. Anyway when you see France making Morocco look like a mid team you automatically know other national teams are in trouble and looks like France’s third star will soon be official.. 🇫🇷🇲🇦

Mm okay this wasn’t expected tbh, after seeing Colombia in the group stages and RO32 I thought they will be able to qualify without any trouble especially that Switzerland didn’t do anything special but I was wrong. A boring but not boring match idk how, many moments I thought the goals were very close for Colombia especially but they never came, anyway penalties was the most entertaining part of the game. What the hell did I just witness ?! I am genuinely speechless. After I thought Argentina will really learn from Cape Verde’s match and do things better it turns out they learned nothing and that’s what they deserve with this performance. Really terrible build ups, the pace of their actions too slow, and it looks like they entered the game with excessive confidence and arrogance, and football never give you if you don’t give it. The last 20 minutes is the Argentina we know, everything changed and Argentina finally realized that they’re playing in the WC not in the backyard. Deserved goals when they actually started playing and that’s football when you actually give it. On the other hand, I can only give Egypt players and specifically Hossan Hassan a standing ovation with the amount of work and effort they’ve put into this tournament and especially this match. Egypt playing with justified defensive style but while attacking it’s like they know every step Argentina will do beforehand and played on that. Heartbreaking scenarios continue to shock us throughout the tournament and this time the Pharaohs are the prey. What a game with many shocking moments, but overall very enjoyable and entertaining. For the third time so far a 5 star rating match for Argentina.. 🇦🇷🇪🇬

USA1 - 4BelgiumSo was really De Bruyne the problem 🤔?! Yes Belgium were great against New Zealand but we all know New Zealand with all due respect. This match Belgium were different, they were faster, sharper, better chemistry between players, everything overall was great. Rudi Garcia really did wake them up in the right moment so hats off to them all. USA on the other hand is different than all their matches we saw, they seem lost with no passion to do anything really, it’s like they entered the match knowing they’ll lose. Every player wasn’t in his day and even Potch who I know could do much better tactically. USA’s team without the ball weren’t great the whole tournament, but this match was a disaster. All this happening to them without even having to stop Doku which came on last 20 mins. Anyway, great job from the Belgian team this performance and showing what they go when it really matters most. Also, finally De Ketelaere scored ! and I hope Onana gets well soon too.. 🇺🇸🇧🇪

This was a very boring game to honest which I did not expect at all, both teams respected each others so much that it felt like they don’t want to cross boundaries for some reason. Both teams had negative possession which they did not make anything useful from it. Only Spain had a chance in the first half but Oyarzabal dealt with it terribly like always. Nuno Mendes’s injury unfortunately really weakened the Portuguese, but even Lamine which had a bad game didn’t take any advantage of it. Hope Nuno has a quick recovery what a player. Congratulations to Spain to going to the next round, yes we were expecting a better performance but I guess whatever floats your boat DLF, Bye Bye Ronaldo 👋😗.. 🇪🇸🇵🇹

Mexico2 - 3EnglandNow that’s what you call entertainment !! Just when you thought the match ended it turns out that it just got started, Wow wow wow. Everything happened in the first half, when Mexico were pressing they conceded a goal, and when Mexico wanted to start again, they conceded right after and we all thought the game was done. Then Quinones re-introduced himself once again. The second half wasn’t less than the first, and it started with direct red to Quansah, then we again thought now it’s Mexico’s time, so England were given a penalty and scored. I swear I got tired even writing this. Constant Mexican pressure got them a penalty and then the real war started. Unfortunately for Mexico their crosses weren’t efficient due to fatigue, and fair play to England for holding their ground with 10 men against a very good Mexican team that could’ve ended their dreams. Arguably best game of the tournament so far.. 🇲🇽🏴
EnglandBrazil1 - 2NorwayFirst half was really entertaining and nerve racking at the same time , Norway started really strong and scoring but got called offside, then Brazil responded with pressure and getting a penalty but unfortunately Vini the best Brazil player this WC stepped aside and gave it Bruno and he missed it . Second half started great also with chances for both teams but Brazil were better, missed a chance, Endrick came on and missed a 1v1 with the goalie and everything from here ended. Norway started attacking with no pressure from Brazil (Classic Ancelotti) Haaland missed two chances and the third was the charm. The people that take responsibility first is Ancelotti for making Norway play without any pressure as if it’s in training then Brazil attackers for their recklessness in front of the goal. Very deserved W for Norway congrats to them, very respectable and well organized team and they’ve showed it the whole tournament and I wish them nothing but the best.. 🇳🇴🇧🇷

Paraguay0 - 1FranceI know for a lot of this game was terrible, but for me it was really enjoyable 🤣 , from watching Paraguay I know most likely it will be hard for them to stand a chance against France. So I was waiting for the action happened in the match. The ways Paraguay were using to take any slight advantage was very smart and what was even more entertaining is that France were ready for this physically and mentally. Overall good and an expected game to a certain extent but I expected France to have more chances which shows how solid were the Paraguayan defense, GGs.. 🇵🇾🇫🇷

Canada0 - 3MoroccoCanada were absolutely dominant the first half and Morocco were suffering and they were lucky to end the half with a draw. Canada absolutely shocked everyone with this start because we didn’t see them play like that ever and especially against a strong team. Morocco were the opposite of their first half, they organized their papers as they say and attacked like they never did before, they were lethal in front of the goal and definitely made up for the terrible start. Well played both teams, really enjoyable watch.. 🇨🇦🇲🇦

To be completely honest I expected a 1-0 match for Colombia but I did not expect Colombia to have many chances after we saw Ghana’s defense performance in previous matches especially against Panama and England in the group stage. Colombia get a well deserved comfortable W i’d say despite the score, they were attacking and building up plays without any response from the Ghanian squad. Can’t say didn’t expect Ghana to be bad offensively because we all know Carlos Queiroz’s tactical style of play. Anyway Colombia are doing great so far remembering me of the 2014 days but with less banger of a goals. Can’t be more happy for Colombia, as always never boring to watch them play.. 🇨🇴🇬🇭

Small Island with Big Dreams 🦈 Cape Verde every game surprises us more and more honestly and someone please check if Vozinha is actually 40 or no ! No way their defense and entire squad gave everyone a hard time while having current best players on the planet . I genuinely couldn’t believe it, because I don’t know Argentina are bad or Cape Verde are so good that they make other teams look average . This match going to extra time is the last thing I expected, honestly Cape Verde showed the world what playing with your soul for the badge could do and where it can take you. Today, we almost witnessed arguably the biggest upset in world cup history. Cape Verde defend but they defend to do something, and when they attack, they sting where it hurts most which is even more impressive, I am still shocked. The only things that was expected and it happened it is that Argentina won at the end, but they needed to give 200% to win. So happy for Messi, yet so sad for Cape Verde, their passion and unexpected performance will truly be missed and forever remembered. Cape Verde were the secret sauce to this tournament, they were the team that showed big nation’s weaknesses, they were the reason that big nations changed a lot of things. The emotions during this match were all over the place, it was something special and cannot be described what so ever, only people watched the game will ever understand. Cape Verde, welcome to history and you can leave with your heads up.. 🇦🇷🇨🇻

Australia1 - 1EgyptI think this match was better than all of us expected, the pharaohs started the first half very strong and were very efficient and were able to score the first goal with a header in front of the tallest defenders in the WC. Second half could’ve been terrible for the Aussie’s but Marmoush missed an easy goal and Aussie’s started playing better, building-up with patience and finally their goal came from a set piece which is one of their strengths. The game could’ve also ended end of the second half for the Egyptians but Beach was there as he always been this WC. Congratulations to Egypt a well deserved W, the effort they’ve put in all their matches is very respectable 👏 .. 🇪🇬🇦🇺

Match really started strong from Algeria with pressure but with the first Swiss attack they got exposed and things still falling apart. Switzerland were very calm and knew what they were doing, extreme tactical commitment and solid defense in the back. Yes Petkovic misread the match but this doesn’t take anything from Switzerland, absolute quality work from them, maybe not the most fun game but we have to give them their flowers.. 🇩🇿🇨🇭

What a great match and what an ending, a game that was very 50/50 and each team was superior at certain minutes and each team had their chances. Portugal overall were trying more and relied on possession and build-up and Croatia relied on counterattacking and they were great attempting it but they were very unlucky with the offsides. Congratulations to Portugal and Penaldo fans this W it was deserved. However, I think Portugal should be more efficient in front of the goal because these chances won’t be available in bigger matches. Modric what a legend, deserved better.. 🇵🇹🇭🇷

Spain to the RO16 as expected, Austria couldn’t do anything literally in the match because they barely passed five passes overall, Spain’s midfield trio is just OP and defense isn’t getting real tests because there weren’t any. However, Spain is not looking good icl compared to their Euro 2024 performance, they’re far off considering them to win the WC. Real test start from the next round.. 🇪🇸🇦🇹

What a nice way to end the day when your dark horse proceeds to the next round 😁. Anyway what is expected is what happened, Bosnia weren’t good during the group stage so their exit was just a matter of time no matter the opponent imo. Congratulations to USA they exceeded many people’s expectations and they were amazing in most of their matches. However I hope Balogun’s red card doesn’t effect them the next round and I doubt it, I hope Pepi steps up and does his job in front of the goal.. 🇺🇸🇧🇦

And another heartbreaking scenario in the world cup, after a world class performance from Senegal in their last group match with scoring 5 goals and qualify as third, here they lead with two goals and get scored on in the last minute in the game and last minute in the second extra half.. Congratulations to all Belgium for that winning soul and not giving up in the toughest moments and Rudi Garcia for his amazing tactical substitutions, nothing but respect. What a remontada, WHAT A GAME!.. 🇧🇪🇸🇳

WOW WOW WOW!!! Arguably match if tournament so far imo, watching this match I couldn’t even blink because I might miss something and I was correct. From where should I even start, I am genuinely speechless atp but I’ll try my best. First half was crazy from the early Congo goal to the impossible saves that Mpasi did that made Bellingham beg him to let one in, Congo could’ve even scored the second goal but Wissa missed it and that’s where everything became predictable and it was just a matter of time and certain actions. Thomas Tuchel substitutions were the key of this W and especially Barca player Anthony Gordon, two assists in less than 30 mins and when Kane has space, IT’S DONE . Fair play to Congo for the historical performance against one of WC contenders and congratulations to the english men this deserved W. Continuous shots, crosses, and passes in the final third finally paid off in the right moment. To me I have 3 MOTMs , Harry Kane, Gordon, Mpasi, anyone is picked will be deserved.. 🏴🇨🇩

I am not even kidding, the first 30 mins of Mexico’s performance is the best performance I’ve seen in this WC, I wouldn’t have expected Mexico to play like they did in a million years especially against Ecuador which is a team that is not considered weak at all even if they qualified as 3rd we all know that they could do and we’ve seen it. Before anything let me just talk about Gilberto Mora what a player man and he’s only 17! It’s his second start in the WC and we saw what he could and again let’s not forget it’s in the RO32 against Ecuador, this guy needs to start every game I don’t even care about managing his minutes. However, Ecuador did change a lot after they conceded two goals but it was too late, they became better but with no serious goal scoring opportunities as usual which is the main thing they were suffering from in this WC. Respect to Javier Aguirre’s squad for being extremely united and playing as a team especially defensively which made this W happen. Can’t wait to see them again 💫.. 🇪🇨🇲🇽

To be honest, I had Norway winning, but the way Ivory Coast played and showed personality was really impressive to me, I knew their quality but I did not expect them to be better than Norway overall. Fair play and it was really fun watching them this tournament 🐘🧡. Norway in the other hand as expected, really lethal in front of the goal and how could they not be when their striker is Erling Haaland🤖 . Hats off to Stale Solbakken for finding a really solid front three with Sorloth as wing which is really shocking but he is doing better than anyone expected 👏, Norway definitely can beat any team on their day but they need to be more efficient and faster in the front.. 🇳🇴🇨🇮

What a match, Morocco were more aggressive and offensive but they just couldn’t finish, Netherlands were solid defensively in the match and their patience was the key for them to score but couldn’t survive the pressure in the last minutes. Penalties were too something crazy and a mix of emptions and I can’t imagine being part of it, the way of waiting and celebrating will be too much. I can officially say that today I was exhausted of football’s beauty, the scenarios, and nothing was predictable. This is why we love football.. 🇳🇱🇲🇦

This time however, the opponent was Germany one of the best teams in the current WC and WC history and no one expected this match to go to penalties honestly. One of the craziest penalty shootouts I’ve ever seen ! Honestly what did we just witness 🤯 , the mix of emotions in the game was crazy but the penalties was something else!!! GGs nothing but huge respect to Paraguay.. 🇵🇾🇩🇪
