Real MadridArsenal2 - 1Chelsea
Kai Havertz is the best on earth Konsa I am moved, that tackle itself was an absolute gem and especially on Rogers 😮💨 Could have been a clean sheet but Raya is the reason why I started collecting GK shirts
Arsenal
Aston Villa0 - 1ArsenalAnother away 1-0 to the Arsenal from last season ☠️

Woop woop sounds of the Tzolis!! Beautiful attacking football 🥹❤️
ArsenalArsenal3 - 0Man City
Tzolis yes sirrrr. Martin Ødegaard and David Raya you’re both MOTM. We are so back!!! Still need more attackers tho, let’s start the season strong and don’t let the curse get to us. Richy and Ode you both need to be healthy
Arsenal
Girona1 - 4ArsenalWe’re back!!! Thanks Arsenal app for crashing so we got free streaming on YouTube!!! Goalkeeper sub gimmick, Gabriel Jesus playing with kids so we can get a club to offer him a deal, last 10 mins all kids on the pitch. Not to mention Captain Benjamin William White 🫡
Spain1 - 0Argentina
The penultimate match. Spain displayed elite ball possession, 0 shots for Argentina. Their team is so disciplined and organized. Predicted a late 1-0 win and it did come true. This is the Spain team we knew. As an Arsenal fan so proud to see Mikel Merino putting his body (head) on the line, Zubi made his debut on the final, and David Raya against the stacked GK Unai Simon and Joan Garcia. Spain is truly blessed with talents at the moment. No star players but players doing their job and contributing to the team, this is how a national team should be. I remember watching Spain in 2010 and I can see the similarities with this team (late goal, elite midfielders, organized team). I’ll save this for my World Cup reflections but thanks Bookd for the World Cup experience, the chats, and most of the time, early goal spoilers which I don’t mind 😆 Also after going to non stop watch parties, my friends and I decided to chill and do our own watch party at one of our friends’ apartment. The best decision ever because we are all tired of the constant partying and didn’t want to wait 2 hours before KO just to get in and be comfortable. It’s been a joy watching friends who don’t watch football turning into football fan during this WC, and I will not take this for granted after being isolated because of COVID for most of WC 2022, including the final 😊 also here’s a run I put together before the final!
SpainFrance4 - 6England
Prayer circle for those who missed the game 😭 tomorrow is going to be the polar opposite
EnglandFrance0 - 2SpainSpain dominated the game, midfield masterclass from Spain. Saliba got injured and look how France conceded the goal. I initially have Spain as the winner in my bracket based on Euro 2024 but I have been enjoying France so I updated my bracket and guess my original bracket is right lol. My dream final would be Spain vs England because I don’t want to see Argentina in the final
Spain
Norway1 - 2EnglandThought both teams had equal chance until Bellingham came clutch saving this England team again. Half fit Saka still did well. Is it coming home? I don’t think so 🙂

Netherlands1 - 1MoroccoOI I’m tired of penalty shootout this team gave me hope before the extra time
Germany1 - 1ParaguayAbsolute cinema of PK but Germany (and Kai) 😭 disgusting haramball, penalty gave me hope and then Tah skied it…😫
ParaguayBrazil2 - 1Japan
Martinelli goal, Casemiro cancelled the mistake (and Gabriel’s assist). Brazil has been poor tbh so I’m certain they will be found out later. One down, two to go!
Brazil
South Africa0 - 1Canada
Boring until the added time
Canada
Panama0 - 2EnglandEngland didn’t move me with their reliance on a few players for their moments. It’s giving Euro 2024 until they get tactically outclassed
EnglandNorway1 - 4FranceToo easy for France. Dembele hattrick. Norway bench most of the starting IX. France’s depth is next level
France
Tunisia1 - 3NetherlandsToo easy for Netherlands. The first own goal, really??? Got to do links rechts and it was so fun!!!
Netherlands

What a game!!! Mbappe was killing it, attacking went full force. Great to see Wilo did well although he didn’t do a lot because lack of attacking threat from Iraq. Next up: France vs Norway!! Thank you Bookd for the tickets!!
