Spain1 - 0Argentina

The world cup final is over. This tournament has been incredible, and this community has made it far more enjoyable. Thank you to everyone who has played a part in this incredible community. I have loved posting my penguin GIF throughout the tournament. Thank you for making posting a short clip of a penguin kicking a ball infront of a second tier spanish side's badge special. I was born in Sutton on October 7th, 2006. Just under two years later my brother was born, and a year after that we moved to South-West London, where I have lived ever since. I may not be a Castellon fan, but I am an Arsenal fan, like my brother and my parents. We sit and watch all of the matches together, unless we're at the Emirates. I was introduced to Bookd by my brother. I saw him talking on this app and it looked intriguing, so I asked him what the app was, and I downloaded it. Thank you, @elz , for introducing me to Bookd. I found the penguin GIF simply by typing "football" into the GIFs tab. I am unable to recreate this. Perhaps it was fate that I found that GIF. I am 19 years old, and entering the second year of my Games Design university course at my University in central london. I have always had a passion for games. I hope to one day unite my passions for game creation and for football. If anyone wishes to check out my work, play my newest, and by far my best game, Leviathan, at https://spitefulcurb43.itch.io/leviathan . I will continue posting my penguin GIF throughout matches, but expect me to speak actual words from time to time in the Bookd chat. This community is excellent, and recently I have been wondering what will happen after this tournament ends. I have decided we need a Discord server. Everyone is welcome to join. Here is the link: https://discord.gg/Y9Yf7NHBe Once again, thank you to Bookd's developers, community, and most of all, thank you to the gimmicks. I will be able to answer any questions you may have in the replies. And now, for the last time this WC:

Spain
Norway1 - 2England

Goodness me. What a feeling. England have the advantage of knowing how to do a low block. The togetherness of this nation is refreshing in a way I am unable to express. Get us into the World Cup Final. Bring it home. I doubted Jude Bellingham and I feel like such an idiot for ever doing such a thing. What a player. What a team.

England
Argentina3 - 2Egypt

I have never before seen such a poor decision in such a significant match that didn't turn out to be corruption. Egypt could have made history but to many this game will now be known as nothing more than a refereeing decision. Argentina's comeback was incredible, this will and should be a moment of celebration for the nation. It is (hopefully) not their fault that such an awful decision was made. Egypt deserved that win. Egypt were robbed of that win. Corrupción en la federación.

Egypt
Spain3 - 0Austria

I did not watch this game.

Austria
England2 - 1Congo DR

I am under the impression that the more English of a day I have on an England matchday, the higher England's chances. I went to a seaside arcade, played the 2p machines, and had fish and chips for lunch. For the first hour and a half of this game, my superstitions seemed futile. England seem to take dangerously long to get going. It was a difficult watch. I was watching the game begging for a creative attacking midfielder to come on. Eberechi Eze performed silent miracles after his substitution, Saka and Gordon should undoubtedly start against Mexico alongside O'Reilly and Spence. Elliot Anderson played excellently. He was by far our best player, particularly for the first sixty minutes. I am terrified for the Mexico game, but I believe we can do this. Come on England. @alf I am very glad that the "Hello Freddie" GIF has arrived!! Thank you for creating it, I smile whenever i see it. (GIF attached below.) @labubu I found a Labubu in the arcade 2p machines. (Image attached below.)

England
Ivory Coast1 - 2Norway

There were three great goals in this fixture. I enjoyed watching it. I think Norway deserved to win and I am happy for them that they get to play in such an important fixture against Brazil. I hope Norway continue to progress in the tournament. I think Cote d'Ivoire played well. It is unlucky that they played such a strong side.

Norway
Brazil2 - 1Japan

This morning I went for a walk around a park and I went to the beach. I am in a seaside town and it is wonderfully quiet as the summer holidays have not yet begun. I have had a great day and this match was a cherry on top. Japan function excellently as a unit and are a joy to watch. Brazil's display was twice as exciting. Their individual brilliance and flair was on display all throughout the game as it always is. The winner was a clear example of this. I find this result therefore gives me a lot of hope for the state of football. I believe that creativity is what should come to the surface at the highest level of competition. Japan played an excellent game tonight but Brazil have got stars of which can come up with moments, and those moments were on display tonight. We love Gabriel Martinelli.

Brazil
South Africa0 - 1Canada

I am on holiday this week in Dorset. I arrived in time to settle down and watch this match. It was entertaining enough but frankly not the start I was hoping for. I hope tomorrow's Brazil vs Japan fixture will be better. It wouldn't take much for it to achieve that.

Canada
Norway1 - 4France

I did not pay much attention. Ousmane Dembelé is Excellent. I now watched Ebere Ezé, Harry Kane, Lionel Messi, and today Jørgen Strand Larsen all take stutter penalties in the last month and miss. I do not like the stutter penalty. You are professional footballers. You all must have practiced taking penalties thousands of times in your careers. Just kick the ball.

France
Curaçao0 - 2Ivory Coast

I did not watch the match. I spent today working on a project. Today I am thankful for having an unblocked nose. I encourage everyone experiencing the same to take a moment to feel thankful for this. I had a cold shower today. I was surprised to find the bathroom mirror had not fogged up. I have both learnt something new today and cooled myself down in doing this. I hope we are past the peak of this heatwave and I hope everyone is taking care to stay hydrated and cool in this heat. Thank you @alf for my GIF. I have seen it on KLIPY but I cannot find it on the Bookd GIF search function. I have saved the GIF and attached it below. Perhaps it should be renamed on KLIPY with key words such as "Bookd"? I enjoyed watching Alf and Elz fight in Pokémon this morning. I will not be present for the matches taking place this evening and early morning. I hope everyone that does enjoys the matches and manages to get good rest despite this fact. I like to imagine there will be penguins in the chat regardless of my presence. Good night everybody, sleep well.

Ivory Coast
Switzerland2 - 1Canada

I did not pay much attention to the game. It seemed nice. I am sorry Canada did not top their group whilst hosting. Promise David scored a good goal. From what I saw this was a largely average match.

Canada
England0 - 0Ghana

This game was a frustrating watch. The first half was dominant from England without a glimpse of a goal. The second half implied England struggle to attack successfully without defensive flaws arising. I believe that Ghana deserved a penalty and Jordan Pickford should have been sent off. The refereeing was poor and favoured England. I believe that this performance does not highlight significant weakness in England as they will be playing less defensive teams in more crucial fixtures in the later stages of the tournament. I wish Eberechi Eze had been started in place of Jude Bellingham. I believe he would have scored in the first half an hour. I appreciate the importance of rotation but I hope Thomas Tuchel has learnt that Nico O'Reilly is more suited to the Left Back position than Djed Spence. I respect Spence for refusing to shake Thomas Partey's hand, however. Thank you for your time.

Portugal5 - 0Uzbekistan

My favourite goal in the match was scored by Uzbekistan and was disallowed. Raphael Leao scored a goal that places as a close second. I do not like Cristiano Ronaldo and yet I cannot doubt his finishing abilities. His miss at the end of the match does work as an effective counterpoint to this, however. This is not the first time this Tournament that I have seen a team win by a significant margin and wondered how. Uzbekistan did not deserve to win this match but the score does not remotely flatter them. I hope everyone is successfully tolerating the heat and I hope everyone takes care to stay hydrated these coming days. The next match is England. I hope our team delivers a sucessful performance. Thank you for your time.

Argentina2 - 0Austria

I would like to use this space to call for a ceasefire in the Middle East. Each day the war continues is a day that people suffer and die. Lionel Messi is a very good footballer. Austria work together wonderfully. I expect Argentina to do well this tournament. I believe if Messi can be successfully marked out of a Knock Out Stage Match Argentina may struggle. Thank you for your time.

Argentina
Netherlands5 - 1Sweden

The difference today was in the quality of delivery. Isak and Gyokeres were seemingly too busy dropping in to help the Swedish team that they were not present in the box when it was relevant. Graham Potter is a fool for not offering his wide players support defensively. This was ultimately their undoing. Sweden must learn to use the strengths of Isak and Gyokeres by fielding a player that can fill the spaces they create and finish chances. Despite all this the result certainly favours The Netherlands.

USA2 - 0Australia

I enjoyed talking to my friends about music. I felt involved and welcomed. The United States are less valued in my heart than the diseased water some impoverished families must drink. Mauricio Pochettino appears unable to wear a shirt correctly. My favourite deceased artist is 66% of The Bee Gees. My Battery Percentage is 14%. It made me smile when the Referee was injured with a cramp. I do not know what it would look like to "feature on Bookd Twitter". I would however be honoured if such a thing were to happen. Thank you for your time.
